This pediatric office does not accept patients from a home birth. No natural born babies allowed! Pretty sad! I feel that people and Drs. offices think home births are for just a bunch of uneducated hippies. Unfortunately, that’s not the case at all. My husband and I are very educated on all sides of labor and delivery as well as vaccines. We take into account both sides and choose what is best for our family and our beliefs. It seems that most pediatricians will only accept you as a patient if you keep shut and do as they say because they don’t want a lawsuit. It’s very sad where healthcare is in the U.S. today.

We were treated kindly here and in a timely manner. It can be nerve racking taking a child to the doctor, but Rivers Edge made the transition a breeze. Our Dr came in and talked with us for a good 10 minutes prior to beginning her exam. I am 100% that this made my 6 year old much more comfortable with her poking around at him for a while. They answered the few questions we had and gave us a number for a 24 hour Dr line should we need it.

Leaving this practice after a very uncomfortable conversation with one of the doctors. Very unprofessional!

So I have been having some trouble finding a good Ped in Dublin(note my other review!). At first I thought this one was okay, but no it isn’t. It all started when my son(14 months at the time) had serial ear infections when we moved to Columbus. Dr. Dairo put him on Zithromax and Zyrtec after a while and it stopped them from reoccurring, but didn’t clear the fluid. When he had a 18-month well baby she asked if he was speaking ~20 words!(which is way above average)…so of course we said no. For which she stated that our son needed tubes to clear the fluid and sent us to an ENT. We researched tubes and it turns out the developmental progress delayed with fluid is resolves naturally without developmental delay. She would have no discussion about this, in her mind he needed tubes. Since then we have decided to get him tubes because the zyrtec makes him über moody and without it his ear infections return instantly. But it would have been nice to have an adult discussion about it. In the meantime, I brought my son to their clinic hours(which are really nice, 8am-9an WTWF). My son appeared to have pink eye. Who I can only assume to be Dr. Sotos checked him out. Although he was okay with my son he was completely poor at interacting with me. He didn’t even introduce himself! So as the check up went on in silence, he said that he was going to get something and left. Came back with a prescription for antibiotics and handed it to me in silence. As he was walking out the door, I asked if it was pink eye, hoping he would explain why my kid just got a script, and he said«Looks like he is starting to.» and left. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I have not been back since and have taken my son to redi-care places in the interim. My hair stylist has a son the same age as mine and I am going to check them out. She suggested Ohio Center for Pediatrics.
