Worst Pei Wei I’ve ever been to!!! Asked for the Tufu pad Thai and I did not get a single piece of Tufu along with a big pile of broccoli! Also did not get the lemon wedge or a single piece of cilantro. On top of that it did not taste good. I would have gone back but I was on my work lunch and had no time. Never coming here again!

I ate here over a year ago and the food was not great then. I decided to try it again because I was at the Wegman’s and it was late and I didn’t feel like cooking. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Pad Thai Chicken to go. While I waited, I looked around and noticed that the restaurant wasn’t busy. The area where you get your«to go» boxes was filthy(gross). Gosh only knows what the dine in tables were like, let alone the floor. My food took approximately 15 minutes to prepare. The employee who took my order, manhandled my food putting it in the bag. I had to ask for chopsticks. The Kung Pao had too much salt and the Pad Thai was horrible — so much vinegar! Chicken was plentiful, but mushy. With all the great Asian restaurants in Ashburn, we will take our business elsewhere. I am surprised they are still in business with all of the scathing reviews on Unilocal. One star is too much. Keep away from the Pei Wei! PF Changs should be embarrassed!

When the place first opened the food was great and the food has always been delivered very quickly if it’s dine in or take-out. But in the past year or so the food has been going down hill and it isn’t tasting the same as when they first opened and compared to a few of the other Pei Wei’s I’ve been to. The order staff has always been very friendly and attentive.

You would think that a Dulles location Pei Wei would not have a lot of issues because they would get a lot of customers, but that doesn’t seem to be what is happening. Let’s say that first off on a Friday night, there were only four tables being used(including my table). The employees could care less about working here and were not the nicest to the customers. Everyone’s food was mediocre, but I can describe mine with a little more detail. I ordered the regular Mongolian Beef. When the meal arrived I noticed that it is much smaller than it should be, especially when compared to other locations. The beef was cold and the sauce was not thick at all. I even found a sugar snap pea pod in my meal, which made me question how organized/clean the kitchen was. The rice was underdone and crunchy. I’m amazed I didn’t take it back! Basically all of the counter lacked straws, utensils, and cleanliness. I tried to tell employees of the issues, but they did nothing about it. If you are in this shopping center, I would stay clear of this Pei Wei, because they do not have their act together!

The portion size is always generous and the food is great. The gainesville location is closing for us but they often cheat you on the portion and once I ordered sesame chicken and they forgot to put sesame seeds on it. Definitely choose this location!

Great meal. Superb customer service! Went to this establishment for the first time today with my daughter. Ordered the Pad Thai and chicken fried rice, both excellent. Drink machine was not working. Notified hostess/cashier. Manager, who was having his lunch, noticed and tried to help us, without being asked or indicating we were disturbing him. He was supremely gracious, trying to get our drinks, ended up bringing us water, then our drinks(took about 20 minutes) and had the cashier credit me back for the drinks. All without one complaint from me. What a great manager. We’ll be back.

Reading the reviews of this place I do agree with them. Food is not consistent and take away takes over 20 mins to prepare.

I’ve been here three times in two years. I work nearby and we come here for meetings once in a while. I have only good things to day about the place really. Easy to order. Customer service meet and greet is with a smile. Get your own drink, utinsils, napkins and what I liked was getting my own to-go box. I’m ready to go. I have leftovers, I get up and get my own to-go box. How easy! Veggie Fried Rice is good. Large portion. Wow. Also tried Sushi for the first time. I was nervous. It was ok. Spicey Tuna. Better than I thought it would be. Establishment was clean and well lit. Organized condement/utinsil table. No problems coming here again.

I decided to only give 3 stars because I was incredibly disappointed with something I ordered. I follow a very strict diet and used Pei Wei as my cheat meal. I was looking forward to their spicy tuna sushi and ick! It was gross! The tuna part was ok but clearly it was made days before and sat in a refrigerator. The rice was so dry! I ordered Mongolian beef and a spring roll which were really good. Customer service was great and they cooked my food fast for take out. All in all, it wasn’t a terribly experience. Just don’t order ANY sushi. You’d be better off at the grocery store!

I’ve been coming here off and on for years and after last night I won’t be coming back. The food: I ordered small lettuce wraps and a small chicken pad thai The lettuce wraps were ok. nothing much different. The Pad Thai was honestly disgusting and I’m still a little sick this morning. Not only is the flavor not of Pad Thai anymore(my friend who had Veggie Pad Thai said the same) but the check was under cooked and rubbery. The only good thing is I saved myself some calories because there was no way I was going to finish it. The atmosphere and service: First, I should have walked out when I was grossed out by the greasy doors. used my back because they didn’t look like they’ve been cleaned in quite some time. The guy behind the register was nice enough but we had to ask for napkins… I noticed some people had paper towels from the restroom so I shouldn’t have been surprised when he brought out a stack of bar napkins and apologized because they had run out. The bathroom was ok… but I went in to wash my hands(because of the napkin situation) and there was no soap. How is an employee supposed to sufficiently wash their hands for food handling if they have a bathroom with no soap? I’ve had an upset stomach all morning and had to think twice about coming to work. Needless to say I’m not coming back to this location… and thinking twice about any location if I’m going to had crap food and be sick the next day.

If you want sushi and Asian food, go across the parking lot to Wegmans. The sushi was Americanized and my husband would not eat the California roll. The other dishes were greasy and salty. The tables were sticky and they have no kids drinks other than fake juice.

I work across the street and have been coming here for years. As all of the other reviewers have pointed out, this place has gone way downhill. All the haters are right and I’ve been disappointed the past several times I’ve been. Food is inconsistent and slow to come out, under stocked for things like napkins/soda, and tables are dirty. Like many places that were great when they first came out, it seems there is no passion anymore and the restaurant is coasting.

First and last time visiting this restaurant. I was not impresed with the quality of the food even do the sizes were generous. My dish was a Lo Mein which tasted well but later on my digestive system did not seem to agree with me. Restaurant was not busy at all when we were there. A better option could have been to eat at Wegmans asian bar with a fresher assortment of food.

The food is just ok. The service is friendly, but not outstanding. Even if you order ahead on line, count on waiting at least 10 minutes at lunch time, even though the take away parking is 10 minute parking… very frustrating, at least for me, as someone who wants to get the most useable time from my lunch hour.

This was a nice restaurant. Like a year ago. The Thai dynamite was freaking awesome. It was my favourite but since like 1 year it’s quality is deteriorating. The place has become shabby. The taste is not that good. Its boring nowadays. please improve. We really used to love it!

We went to Pei Wei tonight(Monday) at about 7:30pm. We will not return – 3 time and 3rd strike out. Every night we’ve been there in the last year they are out of something – tonight’s outage was shrimp and white rice. The restaurant only had about 5 tables with people seated. When we arrived. All the other tables were dirty with dishes and trash except for one. The service was terrible – one very slack worker attempted to take orders. Another just walked around with her cell phone – while additional folks piled in and couldn’t even sit at the filthy tables as they hadn’t been cleared. Our 3 dishes and a sushi appetizer were delivered separately over 5 minutes – even though they were all ready at the same time – we could see them sitting on the bar. The only folks that were focused on work were two chefs – they cooked good food, thus they can split one star.

Service is lacking, food is middling, and restaurant is poorly maintained. Overall quite disappointing. There are too many better options out there to waste money on this restaurant.

Avoid the Pei Wei Spicy meal, I’m pretty sure I became a diabetic after attempting to eat this horrendous stir fry. I’m so glad I only ordered a small entrée. The sauce is basically a Thai dipping sauce you get with a spring roll or with calamari. The only good part about the meal was the brown rice. My kid ordered the Thai Dynamite, she enjoyed the first couple of bites but after a while the sour flavor became a little too overbearing.

I would give pei Wei itself as a chain 4 stars! But this particular location only gets 3 stars I ordered online and made a mistake of ordering the«small» portion instead of «regular». The meal contained a large order of rice with zero meat. I literally counted 8 tiny pieces of chicken lol… I guess I will have to order the regular size next time. What a waste of all that rice! And then they didn’t give us any fortune cookies in our bag :(that’s one of my favorite things about this chain(the vanilla flavored fortune cookies) so sad! But I will be back
