Amazing. The Naan was fresh, the buffet items were awesome the wait staff was attentive. The owner stood guard at the buffet to answer questions in the case that we didn’t know what the food was. I give this place 5 out of 5 stars all day long, going back soon!

We went there this weekend, food was very Delicious. We went after 2 years and we were happily surprised about taste, and environment. Beware of slow service and small portions. Size is smaller then other Punjabi restaurant with similar cost. Overall good food, slow service, and smaller meal portions.

Looking for good eats along the Dulles Corridor and found this place on Unilocal. It was lunch time and buffet was being served. We sampled the Tandoori Chicken, Khadai Chicken, Goat Curry and a variety of curried veggies. Of course we helped ourselves to rice. Thought the goat was a little«tough», though. Bottom line is it’s spiced for the average palate and overall quite good given the variety. They even brought out red pepper paste so we could kick it up a notch. My wife exclaimed«my mouth is on fire!» after she mixed the spicy paste into the food. All served with plenty of buttery naan. Their version was interesting in that it was quite thick, but nonetheless we ate two baskets! The hostess was extremely pleasant and accommodating. This place has my vote!

Punjabi Junction has some of my favorite Indian food in Northern Virginia. The veggie samosas and saag paneer are fantastic. They’re able to spice it up or keep it mild depending on your preferences. A great place to get dinner and enjoy some great ethnic flavors.

The food is pretty good I suppose but the service, while very fussy and they make a big show of catering to you, still leaves something to be desired. We tried to call ahead for takeout and couldn’t get through, it just kept going to voicemail. We really wanted Indian food and the other nearby place closed to we trekked over here and placed our orders in person. Told them we tried to call for an hour and barely got a ‘sorry.’ And on top of that had to wait 30+ minutes to pretty basic orders. Which is a problem when you have a hungry, tired, one-year-old baby, which is why we just wanted to order ahead and pickup! Then they can’t even throw in some garlic naan or anything? Seriously? We might be making the drive to Ashburn or Herndon next time we want Indian.

I have ordered a takeout a few times but tonight I felt like eating in. The food arrived hot and on time. I wouldn’t hesitate to order delivery from here again. My favorite part is that you can order online. For some reason, I’ll try different things and branch out more when I have the option to order online.

All four in our party loved it. Flavors and spice level made to order. Had the Samosas and Pakoras to start: wonderful. Two curries ordered with different degrees of heat, goat and lamb, both perfect. Chicken Tikka Masalla was tender and succulent. We ordered the Daal Makhani to share as it is a dish we share at every Indian restaurant and can quickly indicate the degree of fresh herb seasoning used in preparation: it exceeded expectations. Service was attentive and punctual. Special requests were not a problem. We live in Herndon and had to drive by 7 other Indian restaurants to get to Punjabi Junction. It is worth the drive.

The food was good but the service was very slow. We had to remind our waiter to write down the order. We went for dinner

I decided to try the lunch buffet today instead. Their service was awesome… even when I dropped lentils on the floor.(Crap.) They assured me that it happens and not to worry. The naan was very fluffy, and they asked me if I wanted more. They were quick to clear the table whenever I finished a bowl. Many bowls were enjoyed. It was hard to stay awake afterwards. As for the food, I do wish that they had more naasto(snack) items and just a few more mainstays like at least one of pav bhaji(Indian sloppy joes), golgappe/pani puri(the balls that you puncture and fill with snacks and sauces), and butter paneer masala. I often like getting salad(and then covering it with yogurt and the brown tamarind sauce) or fruit salad at Indian buffets, too. Separating the veg and non-veg sections would be optimal, too. I can’t ding them though because the service was awesome. Dessert was nice. I would go again.

Hit or miss. The chicken and salmon tikka were great, nice and moist. The dhaal, saag paneer, and kabob were bland even with medium spice. The chef’s choice vegetable side was a grocery store frozen blend of corn, carrots, and beans with potatoes added and a dash of Indian spices. Really bad. The gulab jamun had almost no rose water, leaving it tasting like syrup-soggy pancakes. Really more misses than hits now that I think of it. Bummed because we were starved for Indian and were ready to love everything.

Tried the buffet here, they had a good spread of veg and non veg and the food also looked fresh. The staff was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. Dal makhani, kadhi pakoda were some of the things i liked however, every dish was very very lightly spiced and that for me was disappointing. The goat curry according to my husband was very average and the veg. biryani was more like veg.pulao. also. They should have a little more variety for dessert. Overall an avg.experience.

Went here to try the lunch buffet on a Saturday afternoon with the family. The staff is very attentive and extremely friendly. We were greeted with welcoming smiles when we entered and were quickly seated at a table. There are lots of choices on buffet and is a fair deal for the price $ 12.99. My favorite dishes were the chicken curry, dal makhani, chicken tikka and goat curry. The saag(spinach) paneer was outstanding and probably the best I have tried in the area. The samosas were delicious and the rice pudding dessert was just right not too sweet or creamy. The complimentary tea was a nice touch.

I’ve given this place a few more tries. Like I said before channa masala is still weird tasting– better if you order it spicy. Naan has improved in my opinion, not as overwhelmingly buttery. Salmon is still great. If you order online, don’t expect to be able to pick it up at the time you requested. Since my first time, every time I’ve gone I’ve arrived at the time I ordered for pick-up and had to wait in excess of 20 minutes to receive my food(and it’s not like I only gave them 15 minutes to make my food before I asked to pick up). They’re usually apologetic about it, but that can still be frustrating. especially for a punctual nazi like myself.

It has a really nice lunch buffet. They hit the sweet spot of hot, fresh and not overcooked, even after the main lunch rush. The bread is hot and cooked fresh for each table. It’s nice and evenly soft, too. My particular favorite was the goat curry. Be warned that it is boney, but goat curry always is, but if you are willing to work for your food, it is the best I’ve found around here. The décor is nice but not extravagant. They have some really nice touches, but also some things thumb tacked on the wall, too. If you are coming for the food, this is the place to go, though. The spices are fresh and pop on my tongue in a way I haven’t experienced in a while.

First off, Forgive me for not remembering exactly what we ordered. I’m not sure it matters though, everything was phenomenal. The service was fantastic. We showed up thirty minutes before closing and if we inconvenienced them they didn’t show it. They were enthusiastic and gracious hosts even serving us at closing time on a week night. As an appetizer, there were these two roll things with chutney and chick peas… they were extraordinary and flavorful. Bold and savory. I can’t remember the dishes we ordered but trust me they were fantastic. It was my first time Indian Food experience so I withheld a review until I had tried a couple more. Now that I have I can say this is by far the best of the four I’ve tried and the most affordable. I’m looking forward to future visits.

Excellent lunch buffet! I believe it was $ 10. This is actually the 3rd day in a row I’ve had Indian buffet from different places. Impressed with the selection – my favorite was the goat and the spicy cabbage/potato. For dessert they had a delicious mango kheer instead if the typical rice pudding. I liked that it had a strong mango flavor. The tandoori chicken and butter chicken was also good! They had some vegetarian options as well as another curry. I was so obsessed with the goat that I didn’t try everything! I also liked that they have a customer loyalty rewards program. Go for 5 lunches and get the 6th free! I’m obsessed with Indian food so this is definitely what’ll get me to come back weekly. On another note, this restaurant is cleaner than other Indian buffets. They also give you cloth napkins instead of paper(Random, I know. But it’s a nice touch).

Went here for dine-in the other night so thought I should update my original takeout review. Still four stars. Really, really great Indian place. Up there with Haveli for this area, maybe a little better. Amazing service and friendly staff, as you’ll typically find at Indian restaurants. The saag is the bomb, and I have no idea how this place does such good portions without charging more than they do. The tandoori chicken is like eight big ol’ chicken legs! Cray! Anyway, I’ll be back. The selection, flavors, sauces, service, it’s all good. Only downsides really were that they didn’t come refill the rice and this place is hell to get to… it’s tucked away behind the airport in some obscure plaza.
