There are few times in life when a meal is so expertly crafted. I had the Buffalo Soldier, it was good. There are now two different sizes of burritos, I don’t know what to think of it. Very good service. Good value. Soviet Russia. Quaint.

New menu is great! I loved pigs in a pond and now it is back! I really like the new tacos, smaller portions and tender meat.

Fun restaurant off the beaten path of Duluth. The décor /inside was very eye catching. Though the Russian theme with Mexican food does confuse me a bit! Had chips with pineapple habenero salsa and the garden salsa. To my surprise, we preferred the freshness and sweetness of the garden salsa. The pineapple habenero wasn’t as spicy as we had hoped! Got the Pig in the Pond burrito which was way too good to be true. Carnitas burrito — fried and smothered in enchilada sauce and cheese. We also had the Empire Builder with chicken in it. That was also delicious! Prices weren’t bad and the service was very attentive. I will be back someday!

Ordered new item on menu, which was billed as a «fajita.» Was presented with a plate of cold brown rice, several pieces of dried up, overcooked, cold chicken, and a few scallions. Fortunately, server gave the option of having«a little» spicy pepper sauce on the side — a very good choice, considering the sauce is so hot it will burn your face right off. Presentation of food was pathetic and the taste followed suit. Plus, the $ 1 charge for 2TBSP of salsa is off the hook. Oatmeal stout was typical Brewhouse beer. Would not recommend. Will not return.

Been here 3 times. I’ve been a local college student for 3 years now. Food is very subpar. Bland, and not worth your money. Monday Marg night is a good deal but that’s my only real positive. Queso is good as well. But all the other food is not worth paying for. Service is incredibly poor. Couldn’t find our waitress for over half an hour and the building is very small. Avoid this place If you’re not local.

Bleh. Stale chips. Bland, mealy salsa. Dry burrito. Dirty plates. Nonplussed employees. Slow, slow service. Not what I remembered, or maybe exactly what I remembered.

Went to this fine establishment on the day Duluth had Grandmas marathon. It was quite busy. We got sat down within 10 minutes. We got the apricot wheat beer which was delicious! Then got the spicy redhead burrito and Hawaiian bu burger. We hoped these would be spicy but they were quite mild. The food is alright but the beer was great! The atmosphere was on the louder side.

I love this place. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is super chill. I didn’t give 5 stars only because I’ve had a bad server more than once. It was the same girl. She’s super rude and negative. I’ve worked in retail before and you can really tell when someone hates their job. But the last couple times I’ve visited she hasn’t been there. But besides that one person, it’s a great place!

I have had some of the worst service of my life here to the point that we walked out, but the food is decent. The staff is college student heavy, so lots of changes, and probably why we had such horrendous service that one time — I have also had fairly good service. It is a hot or miss kind of place. I like the vegan burrito option and the ding nachos!

Came in here a few months back with my boyfriend and some of his friends. I was hungry so the place probably tasted better then I expected. We got some nachos and a burrito which were amazing. The party that we met was already ahead of us so we met up with them and didn’t have to wait for seating. The place was pretty spacey and good for a typical college crowd that just wants to hang out, talk and eat burritos and nachos. They had some good music playing and the staff here was super friendly! If you come to this place, you may want to try the nachos too. They are also super awesome!

This place is terrible! We called in for delivery, and were very disappointed. Our chips were stale, our burritos were okay but lacked flavor, and our nachos were cold and burnt. HOWDOYOUMESSUPNACHOS? Last, but not least, I stupidly payed a whopping 34.00 for a meal that I could barley stand to eat. Never ever will I eat here again… GROSS!

Shrimp salad delivered. They forgot guacamole, chips, and fork. Shrimp and dressing was good but there were only a few pieces of shrimp. Fail:(

I walked in 10 to midnite, expecting a closing time of 1am as posted on Unilocal only to find out they close at 12. I expressed my disappointment politely and received apologies from the bartender RAND. He made sure I left a happy customer. When u encounter Rand, tip him BIG and tell him Smitty sent u!

Oh my god. For the love of Jesus do not come here. Do not order the nachos. You will cry the tears of all the orphans who died in the holocaust. The sorrow of 5 million dead Jews will flow from your tear ducts. Just please. No.

Favorite go-to burrito place. Apricot Wheat is the best. And their carnitas? Mmmmm. Pineapple Habenero salsa is delicious as well.

First of all, I love to support the local establishments. Having said that, I hope that food and vibe supersedes that of the tradition«chain» venues. In this case, I would be comparing my «Chipotle» experience as it is one of my favs. 1– Beer. How very cool to sit at a bar and drink craft brew while eating a burrito. The beer selection is fantastic. Sorry Chipotle, you lose. 2– Atmosphere. Eclectic, wide open, outdoor seating, casual. There is nothing like eating a burrito, sun in your face, while checking out views of Superior(not perfect views, but views nonetheless). 3– Food. Once I find a favorite I then become a creature of habit and order that same thing forever. Enter, the Chorizo. I believe they only serve this on Saturdays and Sundays. Anyway, that is pretty much the only time I have shown up when traveling North. Tasty. Yummy. Satisfying. Oh, and the pico is the bomb for chips. 4– Price. I am a cheap skate when it comes to food. And yes, I want perfection to meet my taste buds as well. «you can’t both…» blah blah blah. Good prices, great food. It’s a winner. Hey B.U., get down here to the Cities and you’ll do just fine.

Great burrito, but what’s the point of chips in a bag with no salsa?

If you’re hungry for a BIG burrito, I wouldn’t suggest coming here… The only way to get your fill is to empty your wallet on the Rasputin at an astounding $ 14.99 I came with two buddies and we were all very hungry, so we ordered the large burritos. As I was served my burrito I was given like 5 chips on my plate, and they spilled three of them on my lap. However, in their defense, I did get more chips, but I wish I could have been given more burrito as well… Over all, good tasting burrito, bad size.
