I normally factor in service, food presentation & taste, ambiance, etc. on my ratings, but even after my order was initially lost-this place gets a 5 on the porketta sandwich alone! I’d sit through lost orders every time for it.

Very cool interior. Excellent example of making good use of a retired business. Best rueben in Duluth(so far). Wood Fired pizza. Overload nachos. Lemonade was ok. Service was good. I would recommend this place for larger gatherings as well as an evening out.

Great food and good service. Love the taste of wood fired food. Building is a cool conversation piece!

Came up here for a lunch presentation, good food but to loud and to much background noise for meetings.

Mother’s Day was a absolute mess. Our 23 $ salmon came out cold after a 1.5 hour long wait during lunch and they gave us a minuscule amount of soup for an main dish. I expected more of a restaurant so highly praised in the community, but our experience definitely made us not want to come again.

Awful customer service! Went on a Saturday at 5pm. Place was dead! Maybe 3 tables had people. Asked for a table for 4 adults and 4 kids. Hostess looked at her table map forever… Then says do you have reservations, nope! Well, I’ll have to split your party up into 2 high top tables. Nope, ain’t happening with toddlers! I asked why we couldn’t be seated downstairs? She stated no server, we said we’d share?! She didn’t budge! We could see many tables needed to be bussed. My husband and I called our other party and decided to leave! The building is cool but the layout is awful and apparently the service too!

The food wasn’t anything special and the service was right on par with that. The building is really cool and creative, but it’s really something you only have to see once because the food isn’t a reason to come back. There were 7 people in our party too so we assumed things would take longer than a normal restaurant trip, but almost an hour after we ordered our food to finally get it is a bit excessive.

Worst experience ever!!! We made reservations 2 weeks in advance and it took an hour and a half to get our food and it was FREEZINGCOLD! Not to mention they brought us the wrong order. Spoke to the manager who addressed NOTHING and reheated the food in an oven(did not remake). We had to get our own drinks from upstairs and had to get our own napkins because the servers were nonexistent. I never complain but this was the absolute experience I’ve ever had.

Cool building. Weird first floor with indoor bocce and chess(two things that I never thought I would type in the same sentence) and no people. Giant upstairs space with tables on one side and perhaps the worst wedding singer ever on the other half. We got decent apps, cold pizza, uninspired sandwiches, and very average salads. I like the general idea, but there are way better places in Duluth to actually eat things in a reasonable amount of time.

When for a meeting and the noise in the place was too much. Asked to have it turned down but still too loud. They gave us onion rings and those were bad, if they are trying to compete against Grandmas they loose. No taste, thin onions and the blue cheese wasn’t mixer. Made another mistake of ordering an Italian hoagie– bun wasn’t fresh and overall tasteless. Way too expensive for s poor meal!

Very nice atmosphere, awesome service, great food… We ordered the Pulled Chicken Hoagie, and the Egg on your face Burger. They were both awesome. We will be back for sure

Nothing to improve on here. The atmosphere and décor was awesome. The prime rib burger was excellent, as was the B.L.A.T. The kids had pizza, pasta and chicken fingers and ate it all up. It was busy and the service was good.

Let me start with the service it was horrible the business will either win or break from the employees. The chicken wings were excellent the soup was served ice cold with a teaspoon. And when we commented she rolled her eyes

Sudden Death Steak Burger– if you’re into spicy hamburgers, this one is hard to beat. Jalapeños and a Habanero mayo that is delicious. Many items are very solid, can’t really go wrong here. Cool building and atmosphere.

The décor is amazing. Clean, modern, but industrial. All kinds of interesting things to look at, a giant chess set, gorgeous wooden doors everywhere, etc. Great ambiance. The food. Unf. I had an order of chicken nachos — an appetizer, about $ 11 — and I didn’t even get 1⁄6 of the way through it. My husband had the Clyde’s Reuben. He was concerned because it has kimchi, and he thought that could distract from the other flavors. That was NOT the case. The flavour and spice was well balanced and added to the overall, rather than detract or distract from it. The near was amazing, with a great smokiness unlike any Reuben I’ve ever had before. The sauce tasted like homemade, maybe artisan… Not something out of a bottle of Kraft dressing. The fries were awesome too. Not A ton of variety in beers, but a good representation variety of styles in what they did have. We will definitely be back.

Everything was just meh. Pizza was okay, but a little greasy. I had the chicken and a baked potato. Chicken was bland and I had to ask for butter and sour cream. If the kitchen staff forgets something someone has to go down the stairs to the kitchen and it takes forever. I would’ve had a second beer but nobody ever came by to see if I needed one. Bathrooms are also downstairs and to quote my daughter, «kinda creepy». We won’t be returning.

I came here after seeing a line out the door at the Duluth Grill. There was a lot of parking and immediate seating, which was great. I had the southwest chicken sandwich and it was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I’d definitely come back.

I’ve been here several times, because I want to like it. But every time, the service is slow and the food is average. It’s a large place set up and advertising events. I’ve been here for NYE and for St. Patricks. I’ve also been here on regular days, just for dinner. The St. Patricks event was ‘kid friendly’ but that doesn’t mean they should be running around in the bar. And they were running and yelling and obnoxious. There was a long wait for a table and even after we were seated, it took nearly and hour to get food. That’s too long. I’ve finally given up on this place. It has not improved over the years. Consistently bad.

First and last time here. Let me start by saying what an interesting place to visit. Nice ambiance in a lovely renovated building. Restaurant is upstairs and the downstairs is open and empty — weird. The food was bland and average at best. Caesar salad was delivered with frozen lettuce. Salmon sandwich was bland and I couldn’t taste the fish. I seriously don’t know why you would eat here when the duluth grill is down the road.

Stopped here on an impromptu trip to Duluth tonight after seeing another review raving about the Porketta. I had Porketta for the first time when I was a kid visiting Grand Rapids. The seasoning is rich and intense and I spent years looking for it in Chicago, not realizing it was a unique to the Northern states. This was my chance. The restaurant is located in an older industrial part of town. We walked in and I was initially confused at what was happening. Then seating is upstairs but it wasn’t clear right away. Our server was friendly and took care of is quickly. He made a suggestion of an on point Bent Paddle Black Ale and we ordered the beer batter onion rings. Wanted to try the potato balls but they weren’t available. Bummer! The onion ring batter was crunchy and had the slight spice of black pepper. The Porketta sandwich was everything I could hope for. We also got the Monte Cristio — which was breaded in graham crackers with a side of raspberry cream cheese for dipping. I would gladly revisit this spot when I am in town! Prices are good and there are plenty of delicious options on the menu.
