If they say the wait is x amount of time, add another 25 minutes to it on the weekend.

TAKE2! We were greeted as soon as we entered. Even though the place closed in an hour, they asked how much time we wanted(lol). They gave us the full hour+(a few extra minutes!) and never came in the room and bothered us. We didn’t order and food or beverages so I can’t comment on that. The room we were in was clean; the price is the standard 20 dollars. The song selection is alright, but nothing to brag about imo. Nothing really new. HUGEPROBLEM: DISGUSTINGWOMEN’S BATHROOMS!~! Walking into the woman’s bathrooms was like walking into a 3rd world country. The interior was old and the pillars and whatnot are all breaking down/chipping. There’s a leak in the roof… their fix is to tape a giant garbage bag over it, with a smaller shopping bag at the end of said garbage bag, with a garbage BIN under that bag. Note that the garbage bin had an old wet rag on it– is that what you’re cleaning the fucking bathrooms with? Gross. The toilets themselves were disgusting– not only did they look old, but the looked like they hadn’t been cleaned ALL damn day. I would have rather pissed in the grass. No seat covers, and one of the stalls was out of toilet paper. GG.

My friends and I went here for my birthday since I am a Korean who LOVES karaōke. I was pretty disappointed by my overall experience here. Pros: The establishment is nice and clean, the price seemed to be pretty good, and we got a lot of free stuff AFTER they noticed we were spending quite a bit of money. Cons: The service was terrible when we first came in. The younger Korean male(I’m assuming manager) was quite rude. We came in a little late for a reservation(our fault). However, there were MANY rooms still empty. Initially, he acted as if he wasn’t sure if he could fit us in. When I said that we would just go to another place, he immediately retracted and said we could get a room. Then, I asked him if we could get the room for more than 2 hours. He said he couldn’t guaranteed anything since he didn’t know who would be coming in. We were already there. I would think we would have priority over potential future customers. A group of my friends came in after we did. The workers came in after them and searched through their bags which I thought was rude. They didn’t search my bag but they searched my American friends’ bags. Kind of suspect. The only reason I didn’t give them 1 star after the terrible service is because they started being nicer after we spent a bunch of money on karaōke, drinks, and food. They redeemed themselves by doing this. I definitely wouldn’t return. We were treated like a burden to them, so why would we subject ourselves to that sort of service again? It shouldn’t take spending money to be treated with basic human decency. Next time, I will return to Sound of Music down the street or try another establishment. Honestly, I’m embarrassed as a Korean to see how terrible of an example these people made of a Korean business. I can see how non-Koreans felt mistreated here… as my friends and family were treated in this same manner.

First of all, I will not trade anything for my experience with karaōke. It was my first time and I was super excited. I hate to play into stereotypes, but I must be honest. I didn’t feel welcomed by staff. When I went to order food, I was taken aback on the manner and tone that was given by staff. No one came to check on us to see if things were okay or if we need anything. I’m quite sure another establishment can use my business.

My first karaōke experience! After waiting so long I finally decided to go to karaōke with 9 other friends. My Korean friends recommended this place as it was close and had a ton of restaurants nearby. It was honestly a really fun experience despite some negative reviews. After reading some, I wanted to clear us some misunderstandings and provide some tips: — Go with a Korean friend. While its definitely not required, it helps a lot, especially with the reservations and telling us non-Korean speakers how to operate the karaōke machine. As a side note, the staff were really friendly and I did not find them racist at all(our group was pretty diverse). — Make reservations! Even if you are going with a small or large group, do it at least a day ahead of time. You never know if it’s gonna be full, especially on a Friday night like when we went. We happily got our room asap when we walked in. — THEYDOUPDATETHESONGSELECTION. For those people complaining about the lack of new songs, they probably do not know about the search function on the remote. We found that there are way more songs in the system than in the old outdated catalog book. Some songs we surprisingly found were«Love me like you do», «Sugar», and«Anaconda». While they weren’t the most recent songs, they were definitely within the last year. Ask a Korean friend how to do it, or you first press the top middle button on the bottom keyboard quadrant, then spell out a song you want to find. SOUSETHESEARCHFUNCTION! — Price for us was $ 30/hour, which was a very good deal because we split it between the 10 of us. The room can fit up to 12 – 13 people comfortably! — The location is on the 2nd floor of the left side of the Super H Mart btw! Do not confuse this with the«Do Re Mi Bar» on the other side! This is probably the only reason I took off one star because it took us a while to find the place. There is a small sign that says«Do Re Mi Karaōke» but it is hard to see while driving. Overall, I had a helluva good time! Would definitely come back here again! Hope this helps anyone who was still on the fence about this place: D

The product: I see many people complain about their song selection, especially when it comes to more recent songs. I did not have an issue with this because my friends and I tend to choose cheesy songs from the 90s and early 2000s. The only song that was not present was«Watch Me(Whip/Nae Nae).» Yogurt soju is the best flavor and is very delicious. You also get small snacks with your order and the pricing for food and alcohol is fair. The service: This is where they received such a low rating. Pricing per hour is very inconsistent. We were charged $ 20 for the first hour and then $ 30 for the second hour. They claimed it went up because they had a party coming with a reservation. That excuse still didn’t justify the price increase. When we got our bill, they charged $ 30 for both hours. Others have said that they find miscellaneous charges on their bill too. I would be extremely careful about agreed upon prices and make sure that your bill is correct. The only thing that seems to be consistent with pricing and wait time is whether you’re Korean or not. Ill leave it at that. Make sure your group is primarily Korean if you’re gonna go here.

I really only come to Do Re Mi because Suno is literally a few paces away from the door, unlike if I went to Sound of Music or Everysing. It’s not my favorite karaōke place, but it’s really not bad. I’ve been here three times, and each time is about the same. Their song selection is pretty good IF you know how to dig through the songs with the remote, because their song book is heavily outdated. They lack some great titles, which is disappointing but okay. There is a plethora of Kpop songs that I enjoy, and my friends and I have a typical time that would be extremely embarrassing in daylight but is just too fun on a Friday night.(Though we did get shooed off the table, which we normally jump around on.) It smells like smoke, which is also typical, and the people normally leave you alone. All in all, it’s your average karaōke studio, but still fun if you just want to hang out and make a fool of yourself.

If you ever decide to drink here, make sure you have a sober friend with you. almost every time I come here they try to overcharge and sneak in couple extra items on your tab. I catch them everytime. Everytime I dispute them on certain items. they immediately take it off the tab. just shows they already know whats up

After my friend totaled her car the night of her birthday celebration, we decided a night of continued drunken debauchery and singing was in order, so we Unilocaled this place and drug her along~!(which wasn’t difficult, seeing as her car was on the back of a tow truck heading far, far away.) The whole HMart Complex is full of fun, delicious food, and a large parking lot. Do Re Mi is tucked nicely in the corner near Hill Drive and located on the upper level. To date, it’s one of the nicest Karaōke Bar’s I’ve been to. The décor was fancy-schmancy. We karaok’d for 2.5 hours, had two tubs of beer, eight jäger bombs and probably a few other items that happily drift hazily(drunkenly) out of my memory for only 160 $! It was a long night of drunken, tambourine fun.

Came here with my friends to hang out; it was honestly alright. The establishment was like a typical norebang you see in kdramas and stuff. The English songs were not updated, and the Chinese songs were really limited. The owner can’t really speak much English, so it was hard trying to communicate and asking about the cost. If you really want to come here, come with a Korean friend so you can actually get a room. We had like 8 people in our party, and somehow we got charged 60 bucks for 2 hours(I thought it was 20 bucks/hour). I honestly don’t recommend coming if you’re not fluent Korean, but it’s a nice place to hang out and chill.

Went here for a coworker’s birthday, it was ok. There is not much Chinese songs, you can hear people in other rooms, very clearly. The only cool thing is the light actually changes when you sing. Kinda funny.

Amazing place! We came here after a wedding on the request of the Bride and Groom. So much so that they came with us the entire night! This place was so accommodating. They were out of the bottle that we wanted to order so they gave us the upscale for the same price PLUS shots and mixers for free. Thank you!!! Great place in Norcross for some good fun!

You can sing as loud as you want! Get the fruit plate because it is the best fruit I’ve possibly every eaten. Good selection of songs, but the selection isn’t great. There are a surprisingly large number of songs from 1998 – 2008 if that is your scene. It is my scene and my friends and I sing it well. Some people say that they aren’t that nice to you if you aren’t Korean. I don’t know, I think it you just tell them what you want, the service is just fine! It is very clean and the people who work there are actually very nice! After drinking, the videos that accompany the lyrics become more and more interesting! Psycho-analyze them!

I don’t usually belt out classics from the 90’s and 00’s, but when I do, I SANG them out at Do Re Mi. Was introduced to this place about a year and a half ago on the night of a breakup where you best believe I sang out all my heartbreak! I’ve been back a couple times since and its always been good times all around. The establishment is really nice with clean rooms and friendly service on staff. The song offerings are pretty up to date and you can belt out your favorite hits from across multiple genres. For tohse unfamiliar with Korean Karaōke spots, you and your party can reserve your own room, which can keep the singing party intimate, for those of us who may be shy to grab the mic in other bar Karaōke nights. Song selection aside, a BIG surprising plus was the fruit platter on the menu. They get some prime fruit from the H-Mart next door and I swear, those melons are some of the freshest I’ve ever tasted in the least expected spot. Other snacks worth getting include the Kimchee rice rolls and fish cakes. They’ve got plenty of soju, liquor and beer in house and the pricing is reasonable. I appreciate that they make it a point to not service anyone overly intoxicated as they keep it still a fun spot for all patrons. Definitely a late night spot that’s fun for all!

Do Re Mi is very clean and offers the typical Korean-style norebang songs… I always get thrown off by how well represented Radiohead is in the book. I guess a lot of Koreans like that band! Also, it is a little disconcerting to see Christian Rock Band«Stryper» so vaingloriously displayed in many of the«New Songs!» lists. Baby Jesus is crying right now. Anyway, the one thing that differentiates this place from its counterparts in my hometown of Los Angeles is the insanely reasonable pricing. To wit: 2.5 hours of Karaōke, four 750 ml bottles of soju, 2 orders of yogurt soju, 12 beers and the final tally was $ 130! $ 130!!! That much liquor would’ve totaled the GNP of a small island country in my hood. As out of towners, my Chicago based friend and I were shocked at how cheap it was, whereas the ATLiens just started mulling around for money. Immediately, both Chicago friend and I started fighting to pay the entire bill. We have this thing going where we like to take turns paying for each other and usually the people in attendance are included as collateral damage. However, this doesn’t preclude us(well, me at least) from trying to pay for the cheap shit and having the other foot the bill for the pricier stuff. Alas, he was quicker on the draw, and made sure to include a generous tip which he signed off with a flourish. Had mad girls hitting him up afterwards too saying, «Oh, you so generous» and«Oh, why you pay for everythang’, you so hendsome» and things of that nature. Yes… that’s my best effort at transliteration of a female Southern/FOB accent.

Not to be confused with the Do Re Mi restaurant and bar in the same shopping center, Do Re Mi Karaōke is located on the 2nd floor of the giant shopping center that also includes the Super H-Mart on Pleasant Hill. If you are facing H-Mart, Do Re Mi is to the left in the back. It is not the Do Re Mi restaurant to the right of H-Mart. This place is pretty big and clean for a karaōke establishment. They must have about 15 – 20 private rooms. Do Re Mi is a full service karaōke bar with food and drinks. You and your friends are assigned one private room at $ 20 per room per hour. They have refrigerators with a variety of beverages from which you grab whatever you want, take it back to your room, and the employees note it on your tab. They also have a drink menu. We ordered a bottle of yogurt soju for the room. You are given complimentary popcorn and raw sliced cucumbers with a spicy sauce — kind of a funny combination. It definitely helps having someone in your party who can speak and read Korean because it makes things easier when talking to the staff and also operating the karaōke machine. The remote controls are huge(see my photo). The rooms are nice and big with a large table in the center, a couch that hugs the wall on three sides, nine television screens, speakers everywhere, a light-up disco ball, and strobe lights. They have a great song library with songs from all over the world. As you can imagine, a good time can be had here and I recommend it if you’re looking for a fun and private karaōke outing.

Came by as a party of 8 on Saturday night around 11 after Luxor told us there was a 1 – 2 hour wait. We stayed here for 4 hours and had 3 more crashers(friends of friends) later on in the night. I lost track of what we ordered but we had several bottles and lots of complimentary food, including delicious fruit plates, Korean BBQ ribs, fried chicken, and fish jerky stuff. Total came out to $ 200+ and it was super fun for my first karaōke experience! If you don’t show up with Korean speaking friends, they will likely tell you«no room,» at least that’s what I’ve heard…
