For quick store bought sushi Hikari has been always one of those spots I like to drop into. They have your usual types of maki and nigiri: rainbow rolls, spider, dragon, etc. For me, I always get the rice wrap rolls(preferably the California roll) since the spicy one isn’t my forte. Notably, the spicy rice wrap is good, and I wouldn’t be adverse to eating it. I have also sampled a bit of their sushi in the past, and, while it’s not the best sushi ever birthed, it’s passable and good. I mean, it’s store sushi, albeit located within an H-Mart not even a stone throw away from their fish market section, but it’s good. I can at least palate it over any other grocery-fare sushi. Names will not be mentioned, but these are more or less freshly made if requested, and unagi nigiri isn’t a solid, somewhat frozen entity like elsewhere. They also offer sashimi platters, wakame salad, futo, and various sizes of box nigiri. Most of the menu is also pre-crafted and sitting in the refrigerated display. It should also be mentioned sushi isn’t their only offering. They have a hot menu where you can buy bento, noodles, and other soups. I usually don’t take much from that menu, but I have had their bento which was decent too. The drink options aren’t super enticing unless you’re feeling like just water or soda. I always end up going to a nearby shop for boba tea or something else. At the end of the day, the fridge will be more or less bare, but, if you ask, they’re more than willing to prepare a roll for you. Otherwise, I find the staff to be curt and dry with a smile. We’re just business here sort of relationship.
