Macy’s

This is one store that I’m glad is still around. I can always find clearance items at amazing rates. The showroom is spacious & not cluttered like some stores. I love that! The sale associate that I had today actually applied a coupon that I didn’t even know they had to my purchase. Thank you Mary!!!

Went into macys and they were not busy. There were alot of employees. And i passed prob about 20 of them. None of them were talking to customers. Just to each other. I was looking at some shirts and an employee was just standing behind me holding a shirt waiting for me to move. No smile nothing. I felt like i was in her way so i moved. And then left. Wouldnt suggest going here.

DEFINITELY MEETS THE NEED
I like this Macy’s because it is nicely laid out and organized. It is not over-​shopped so that everything is picked over. Customer service is really nice and their department for young men, (college) is very nice. I enjoy just being able to get in and out with ease. Overall, Macy’s is one of my favorite department stores because when they have a sale, they really have a sale and they have a great housewares department.

I like this macys for three things:
1. If I order something online I can ship it to this store and pick it up for free shipping
2. The customer service/​people working their are really nice every time I have gone to pick up a purchase — easy checking out/​picking up an item. (Ive been about a handful of times).
3. I can run in and run out in 5 – 10 minutes. Easy to get good parking spot, no one is ever here so I can run in, pick up my delivery to this store, and leave. Great for when Im in a rush lol.
Thats all I use this place for lol, since honestly the selection here isn’t all the great. But for what I need it for, it does its purpose well for me lol.

Macy’s is always a nice store and you can find great sales.

I’ve always been fond of Macy’s as I’ve always bought my cologne from there and other clothing that I like. As far as it being in the Gwinnett Place Mall it will only survive as long as that mall will survive. The great thing about Macy’s, you can find one anywhere you go so I’m definitely a fan.

Although it’s located in the dying Gwinnett Place Mall, this Macy’s is one of the best stores in the mall. Aside from Mega Mart, it’s the only other store in the mall that I have shopped at during the past three years that I have lived in Georgia. Additionally, this Macy’s is one of the better ones I’ve been to in Georgia.
My favorite department in this Macy’s is Women’s Shoes. My younger sister and I have been able to find some great deals on cute shoes that actually fit our size 5 to 5.5 feet in the clearance section! While some of the employees aren’t too friendly, a few of them have been wonderful.
The Cosmetics department here is great, too. I’ve bought gift sets at Lancome and also gotten complimentary, 10-​day samples of foundation to find my perfect, very pale shade. The employees at the Lancome counter are kind and informative. The ladies at the Clinique counter have usually been very friendly, but they have sold my younger sister the wrong shade of foundation (either too light or too dark) several times. Fortunately, they are always good about letting her exchange the foundation for a different shade. She has finally found the correct shade! Estee Lauder’s foundation is high quality, but I didn’t like the employee I had spoken with there. She tried to convince my older sister to purchase a foundation without giving her a chance to try a 10-​day sample of it first. She was overly pushy.
I have also shopped in the Lingerie department, which is fairly well-​organized. My main complaint about this department is the lack of employees. One time, I had to wander around the departments surrounding the Lingerie department to find someone to help me get something down from one of the displays high up on the wall. Although it took quite a while to find an employee to assist me, I was very satisfied when I was able to get the size I was looking for!
Overall, this Macy’s gets 4 stars for having the sizes (shoes and clothing) that I am looking for more often than other Macy’s stores and their generally friendly employees. I had to subtract ½ a star for their lack of employees during busy times (like Friday evenings!) and another ½ star for being located in Gwinnett Place Mall. What’s neat is that this Macy’s has free Wi-​Fi and sometimes, they have discount deals when you check in on Foursquare! I’ll return to this Macy’s when I’m shopping for clothing or shoes the Duluth area.

I’ve had many bad experiences at the Macy’s inside the Mall of Georgia, but the one at Gwinnett Place Mall was a plus plus and another PLUS! Yea, I know. that’s a whole lot of pluses! The only reason why I really enjoyed shopping at this Macy’s was because of this one woman who was one of the staff members at Clinique. Her name is Laura. She was friendly and helped my little sister with finding her color match for her face. She wanted to get powder and foundation. My little sister told me that this was the same lady who helped her out the last time she visited and that her experience here was wonderful. She gave her plenty of foundation sample (well. more than the Clinique at the Mall of Georgia location). She spoke with me and my other siblings, too. I thought of her as knowledgable and a «social butterfly». Thanks to Laura. I’ll be coming back only to her to get my Clinique samples and other products from this location.

I love this Macy’s mostly because it is close to home. However, I have never had a bad experience here. It is clean and all of the employees are very friendly and helpful. They offer all of the top brands and there is always a sale. How can you go wrong?

Quite frankly — this Macy’s sucks. Really they might as well tear down this whole mall. It’s useless. Piss poor selection, but I guess it’s good in a bind when you don’t have time to go to a real mall.
So…why the 4 stars, you ask? Well, I’d bought a suit there Monday night and HATED it. But I needed it and didn’t have time to look around. Next day I realized I’d have to take a long lunch and go find a better suit because I couldn’t stand even the idea of the one I’d pulled from their super small selection. Just return the bad one. Easy peasy.
On the way to my interview I realized I’d forgotten to take the gum out of my mouth and grabbed the first piece of paper I saw in my purse. Imagine my happiness when I went to return the suit and discovered that piece of paper was my Macy’s receipt. Nice. I was mortified, apologized profusely. But the cute lil salesgirl said, «I don’t even need your receipt! It’s all in the computer.» What? Awesome. I didn’t even have to slide my card for them to issue the credit. I was blown away.
I know it’s not specific to this Macy’s, but I was pleased. Very, very pleased. (Obviously I haven’t returned anything in a long, long time.)
But really — tear this stupid mall down already.

This location was very clean I must say. From reading my past reviews you have probably realized that one of my biggest pet-​peeves is not to be greeted. This case, I was greeted a couple of times. The mall that its located in is very very run down which probably explains why this Macys was not very busy at all.

I actually really like this Macys. It’s never crowded, the selection is good and not overwhelming, the store is neat and clean and the staff is pretty nice. They don’t get 5 stars because they are at the dumpy Gwinnett Place Mall.
