I’ve eaten hear about 4 times. I always get some kind of beef items and last night I got chicken fajitas they were phenomenal. This is an authentic restaurant that actually serves ceviche. Every time I’ve brought someone to hear they’ve been impressed with the authenticity. The only reason I give it 4 stars is the place is small and sometimes you have to wait. We got there around 6:45 on a Sunday night and it was packed out. I’ll definitely be back.

The restaurant was packed but the service was fast and friendly. We got fish tacos, chicken tacos and carne asado tacos. The food was hot and flavorful. The fish tacos weren’t on the menu(they are a weekday special) but they made them for me anyway. Our meal also came with free chips and three kids of salsa. The salsa was spicy but worth it!

came here on mother’s day. i witness a family being denied service. one server or manager said they don’t do reservations but had their table reserved for a church group. it didn’t make sense the lady under her breath said they don’t care they get customers anyway. what kind of service is this? the food is great but man. we come here for good service trying to have a good time. they can’t even do so. im definitely changing to a new mexican spot.

Service is fine. So idk what ppl are talking about the hostess didn’t greet them. First off, there’s no hostess. It’s literally one chick doing everything. Second, come in and seat yourself. It’s a local taco place in a mini strip mall not freaking Ruth’s Chris. The food is fine. Guac is v good but not sure that tiny bit is worth 3.50. The tacos are pretty good but not as good as some other places I’ve been to. But they are made to order so they’re fresh. It’s good enough and will get the job done but it’s not the best. It’s a nice little place for lunch and a beer and maybe a soccer game. But I wouldn’t travel distance for it.

Super bad service I came with my fiancé and mom on a Sunday afternoon such a small place, the waitress don’t greet you when you come in nothing, my fiancé had to ask how long for a table and they had a table open and said it was occupied when nobody was eating there. Food is good but just wouldn’t come back because of the staff rude and unprofessional, I get it they are busy but regardless give everybody the same service. Super disappointed !

It’s very reasonable. Took the kids… I wish they’re were more seafood options(fish tacos, etc) but all in all I was happy. Chicken soup was very good.

Last Visit: 03/26/2016 I think this place does serve authentic tacos for a reasonable price. However, I’m kind torn because the last time we ordered a quesadilla, it was soaked. As in, all the juices from the meat and whatever else is inside the quesadilla that you’d order makes the who container soupy. So, a soggy quesadilla isn’t exactly what I prefer. However, my favorite from their menu so far has to be the Nachos Supreme.

Solid good 4 star food. They get penalized a star for service issues and lack of attention to detail. 1. Requested lemon and warm water. None was given. 2. Requested fresh jalapenos to be cooked in with my fajitas. The lady seemed confused, but then wrote it down. None were in my fajita salad. 3. Portions are small compared to other nearby Mexican restaurants. Also note that you will most likely have to wait to be seated if you want to eat in. They have a very small dining area, and no bar. They serve only beer.

I can’t say enough good things about El Dorado. Let me start with, $ 6.50 lunch specials with drinks included. What a deal! Also quality is guaranteed. The thing that I fell in love with it is its rice. The yellow rice comes with fresh corns and beans every time. Their beans are so tender that I swallow it directly without biting. I ordered fajita combo($ 8.50) today. From steak to bell peppers, they all came on spot. I even got guacamole in my dish: D Big bonus. Their tortillas seemed house made too. Another sign that they are doing good: they are expanding to Suwanee and Buford highway.

We have never had a bad meal here… You can’t go wrong with their tacos, burritos(not the special unless you want melted cheese), and quesadillas. We love the simplicity of authentic tacos– topped with cilantro, onions, and a squeeze of lime juice. (Probably need to explore the menu more.) Stay away from the huevos rancheros unless you can handle a LOT of spice. Believe me, I am not a wimp when it comes to spice and I required a couple of glasses of cold milk to even finish my leftovers!

MUY bueno! Good food, good service, clean restaurant. Food was served fast and the waitress was friendly. Chicken tacos were piled high with perfectly grilled/seasoned meat(that wasn’t drowning in red sauce like some other places). Chicken soup was excellent(and more than enough)! Refried beans and rice were average but still good for beans and rice. The tomatillo salsa with the chips was MUY caliente but tasty. Overall was very good and I’d return when in the area again. Only downer was they only offer refried beans and I prefer«charro-style» or black beans.

I don’t get why the reviews are so high This place has more authentic style tacos. It’s just meat and tortilla and maybe a little bit of onions or something. I tried a couple different tacos(I can’t remember which ones but I know carne asada was one of them. I didn’t get any pork ones because I don’t eat pork) and none of them were very good. They lacked flavor and some were a bit tough to chew Service was really fast, as they wanted everyone in and out as fast as possible due to the lunch rush. Probably would not return.

Update: This is now our go to place for Mexican. Prices are awesome, and the staff is really nice. We are regulars! :) My husband, and I ate here on Saturday night. The food was really good considering the price. We both got steak burritos, which were great! Service could have been better. Salsa didn’t have much flavor. And no refills on drinks because it comes in a bottle. But overall, we would come back. Food was worth it!

I was craving some beef tongue tacos, so I decided to check this place out during lunch one weekday. I placed an order at the counter and unfortunately it took 45 min — 1 hr to fill and the restaurant wasn’t even full. The waitstaff was very polite though. I ended up getting a beef tongue taco, a taco pastor and a carnitas taco. The carnitas was quite good, but the rest was not worth the wait. The corn tortillas were made in house — you could tell — but the meat seemed a bit overcooked. Very affordable but I live too close to Burford Hwy with amazing authentic Mexican food to really get excited about it. I asked for the spicy salsa and the tomatillo sauce and unfortunately neither lived up to salsas I’ve had before. The«spicy salsa» was not spicy and the tomatillo sauce didn’t taste like they made it in house — they may, but I’ve had much better on Buford Hwy.

The tacos here were authentic, delish, and cheap. They are about $ 1.75 a piece. Two will put me at a content level, and three will get you to full(even for a guy). Glad the bf took me here since places like this appear to serve Americanized versions of Mexican food. The staff was friendly and attentive for such a small place like this. Seating can be limited during lunch time(even for a weekday), but people move in and out fairly quickly. Parking was pretty okay. If you know where Suno is then Taco El Dorado is right next door. Look for the Texaco for a larger point of reference.

Authentic Mexican. Some places are more Tex Mex but this place is much more legit Mexican. Service can a somewhat slow but the food is worth the wait. The price budget friendly. Kids love it here too!

We’ve been to this restaurant many times. The tacos and quesadillas are great. However, service usually leaves much to be desired and tonight was the worst service we’ve ever had. In fact, we received no service at el Dorado. Myself, my wife and my 9 month old son(in a stroller) entered the restaurant during the dinner rush. As usual, the restaurant was packed. Hoping to find a place to sit, we spotted an empty booth in the back of the restaurant and(after maneuvering the stroller carefully among all of the chairs and all of the people) we reached the booth but were quickly told we could not sit in the booth by a woman with an unpleasant attitude. She said, «no you cannot sit here, this booth is for my kitchen staff» and huffed off as if there was nothing else to be said. Presumably, she’s the owner.(Liliana) We left. It’s very unfortunate that business owners think they can be rude to their customers. It’s not the first owner with a terrible attitude that I’ve encountered. If they treat their customers this way, I can’t imagine how they treat their employees. What’s worse is that this woman owns another larger restaurant down the road on Buford highway«el Dorado 2» and she could have simply suggested that we go to that larger location! But she didn’t. Well, despite the fact I do not like to patronize businesses owned by people who don’t deserve my money, I wanted to eat these tacos and I already knew about el Dorado 2 so we went there. Sergio provided excellent service, which is why this review is a 2 star review instead of one star. Thanks Sergio!

Let’s get straight to the point here, Taco El Dorado is as legit as it gets when it comes to authentic Mexican food. I’ve been here a numerous amount of times and its been«muy bien» every visit. The restaurant itself is located on Pleasant Hill road in Duluth, GA just in front of the Super H Mart shopping plaza. Now for those of you who do not know, Pleasant Hill road is pretty much the new Korea town in GA and the fact that a Mexican restaurant in the heart of it is doing well says a whole lot. The menu here is very diverse, unless you’re familiar with Mexican cuisine, there are a few items which you probably never ever heard of. Now that’s not to intimidate anyone, but take a chance on stuff outside of the usual tacos, burritos, and nachos and you will not be disappointed. The best Mexican food I ever had was in California and I thought I would never find anything close to that. Of course that all changed when I discovered Taco El Dorado. My Recommendations: –Fish Tacos –Carne Asada Tacos –Tostada Ceviche –Mango Juice
