Very bad service today. Store Manager was working as a cashier. He told me he was taking something to the service desk and said he would come right back to ring my purchase. HENEVERCAMEBACK… Was ignored upon entering the store by the same man…

With a sharp decline of the neighborhood I am surprised that this store isn’t doing a better job at trying to keep it’s customer base. Went to pick up a couple toys for my daughter that the web sight said they were in stock. Instead of purchasing online I decided to go in and pick them up myself. Big mistake. The store was a mess. The shelves were empty and highly unorganized. The associate tried his best to help but then just threw his hand up and said I guess we don’t have and walked off. Wont be back anytime soon or ever. Since the Babies R Us closed down and merged with this store I am not seeing this store open for much longer either.

This is a «okay» location compared to the North Point Mall one. Little messy, I’ll give them that. A lot of items are all over the place and not arranged. But, typical of Toys R Us. This location is a bit dead(barely no one here) so you do not have to rush through crowds. Has most toys which is a bonus for my two year old. Sections are huge. The only problem I have with this location is there being only one cashier on a lane. So, lines get backed up when everyone goes to pay at once. But average for Duluth.

Does toys r us closing down? I went to this toys r us. There was like 6 car in the parking lot so thought it was closed but see a open sign. I stop my car and went inside. Toys are all over the floor. There was no employee to pick those toys. I was looking for some toys for my niece but couldn’t see it. So I decide to ask a employee but couldn’t find them. So I choose one of other toys and ready for a check out. There was only 1 register(customer service) out of 8 open. The cashier is the only employee I saw on 20min shopping in the toys r us… Will not going back again

One of the better stores I have been to, the store is clean but it is hard to find someone to help you at times and only one cashier on duty which makes things slow. Overall a good place to go and get toys for kids of all ages. A quick tip is check for clearance items to save money, also the store runs specials on the video games.

I tried exchanging a defective dune buggy toy to Toys-R-Us. The customer service and associate manager stated they do not accept some returns even if the return policy states«We will gladly accept returns of merchandise within 90 days of the original purchase date». Apparently they have a more detailed policy in the back office which is not disclosed publicly. Caveat emptor! I’m going to upload a photo of the stated policy which they no longer honor even though it’s posted at the check out counter. UPDATE The saga continues. I spoke on the phone to Jeremy, who is the store manager at Toys-R-Us. Jeremy said that after a few days Toys-R-Us is no longer responsible for returns for certain items like the Fisher Price Lil Dune Racer. He said if the wheels have been used then they cannot take it back, and if there is a product defect I need to remedy this directly with the manufacturer. I mentioned to Jeremy that there is a posted return policy at the check-out and asked him to state verbatim specifically where the policy supported his assertion. Jeremy said he did not have the policy in front of him and couldn’t remember. I told him I would refresh his memory by reading back the policy to him as I had taken a photo of it. So I read it and then asked Jeremy where specifically it stated he could not take back the merchandise. Jeremy then changed directions and said let me check the inventory to see what we can do about the situation. They have another unit in the store and he said I can make the exchange. He then also added that I would not be able to exchange it again if it’s defective. I’d call this a dodgy policy.

I’m not sure how Toys R Us maintains relevance in the digital age. I’m also not sure that they care. A spur of the moment«let’s make the son feel good» thought brought my three year old and myself to this Toys R Us. Now, of course his eyes light up when we enter the store — maybe that’s how they maintain their usefulness; nothing can duplicate that online for my kid. BUT — having said that, I still avoid this location as much as possible. — there are no store employees on the floor to assist you; I spent 45 minutes with a 3 year old running around aisles trying to find ONE toy we knew was there(because the online inventory said so); I wish there was someone to ask — they had ONE checkout lane open … I was in a line 20 families deep and waited a half hour to check out. Just absolutely horrible customer service.
