Came here for lunch with my friend! IHOPs are NEVER that great. Honestly. But my server today was awesome. He was so sweet and the service was fast besides the food coming out. His name is Daniel and i love him! If I ever come back I’m asking for him and you should too!

Wife ordered endless pancakes, only got the initial two it came with. Went in at 0300 AM, and it took 10 – 15 minutes to get coffee and water. Then after the food was delivered to the table, the waiter did not visit a single time for the next twenty minutes. We got so annoyed trying to get his attention that we just got up and went to the register without the bill. Sooner or later he came over and got it all figured out. This is the last time I will ever go to this location. Out of the 2 – 3 times I’ve been, it is by far the worst service I’ve ever had in my life. Servers literally don’t really care about anything which means what beverages you get on the table is all you got. I highly recommend never coming here, ever. No matter how much you are craving ihop. You will never want to go to ihop in hopes of never being treated like this again. Terrible location.

AWEFUL service. Waited 5 mins to be seated so the host could finish his conversation with his buddy. After asking a busboy to seat us the host told me it’s ok if I wait 30 seconds. Mind you the place is empty. He puts us on the furthest booth in the place and asks for our order right away. When I said we need to look at the menu, no one came back for 10 mins until the lady wrapping silverware at the table behind us finally got up and took our order.
Never again. I’ll stick to Cracker Barrel across the street from now on!

I’m a frequent customer as this location. Overall, you come here and you can expect to get a typical Ihop experience. Food is almost always delicious. Staff is a hit or miss but overall generally friendly. There are some that just hate their job and don’t want to be there. I’m writing this review because there are some staff that are awesome. They may make a mistake here or there, but they apologize and are always willing to correct it or make things right. A lot of the servers and workers are young, and the fact that they are apologetic and willing to make things right is enough for me. I do have a problem with management. This ihop could be AWESOME if there was some decent, competent management. The workers are there. There are some that probably need to leave. However, they have workers there with absolutely NO GUIDANCE OR MANAGEMENT. I have 0 idea who is managing this location but just as a customer that understands the importance of guidance and direction — there is hardly any leadership at this location. I can’t tell the managers from the servers at times. It would be nice to see management. At this location, i DO NOT see any. If they hired or trained management– I believe that with some of their best workers, this location could be AWESOME and likely one of the best in NOVA.
The servers lack motivation and guidance and can’t seem to be their best without direction and guidance from their supervisors. That doesn’t mean yelling or being unreasonable. It means putting some structure in place, rules, guidelines, and I could see a true turn around in there. Also some work appreciation for the employees would go far. I hope management takes notice and hire a superstar and change this location around. Just showing appreciation for the workers would likely result in the workers feeling better about themselves and their work product and ultimately doing a better job. It could be something as simple as «best server for the month» where individual tables cast ballots for their best server during their experience. The employee with the most ballots would get their photo posted in the restaurant as the best server. It could be anything– something along those lines of employee recognition.

Friendly, but poor service. The server was friendly but got the order wrong. Way wrong.
The worst part is that the restaurant smelled of stale urine. The bathrooms were filthy and smelled like a low end rest home. There was gelatinous urine on the urinal. A clear sign that it has not been cleaned in a long time.
If for nothing else, avoid this place because of health concerns. How has the health dept not closed this place?

As always, lackluster service and OK food. We came in on a Wednesday morning (no wait, not terribly busy) and waited over an hour for the food. When it came out it was cold and several people were missing items (bacon, butter, etc). My son’s waffle came out rock hard. They replaced it when asked but it’s small things like that adding up that gets frustrating. Our server was nice but inattentive and forgetful. Classic IHOP experience and reminded us again why we avoid these restaurants.

Good food late at night when I feel like eating something healthier than Waffle House.
I love the omelets and that’s pretty much all I get.
Badge friendly, good people, good prices, and fairly quick, although I usually go when I have plenty of time because they can be a bit busy sometimes.

Chris is a great waiter!!! However, some of the overall service is not as great as it should be. It could take a long while to get tables cleared and to get your food and drink. It’s okay overall…

I made a Unilocal JUST so I could review my experience at this establishment. It all went wrong last Friday, about 9:30 pm. I was just a girl then, full of hope and hunger. All I wanted was pancakes. Me and 6 friends walked into the establishment and were seated promptly. Just as I began browsing the numerous flap jack options I was greeted by a waitress. I smiled expecting the usual «Hello what can i get you to drink» but instead she started our conversation with,
” Were you the girl who was just here and left without paying?” Flabbergasted I replied «No I just got here» She then proceeded to say she recognized my face and then asked if I was wearing shorts… which was a bit intrusive. After numerous attempts to assure the prosecution I was not the pancake criminal I was being made out to be, she walked away. Leaving me and my party with so many questions. Would I get pancakes tonight? Will I get into a good college? Who was my pancake stealing twin? So many thoughts. We sat and waited for about 25 minutes for someone to come back and take our drink orders but I was let down and eventually left. I can only try to put into words my disappointment with this establishment, if you can’t tell by this review I was a dedicated custumer and to be accused of stealing pancakes… the most unholy sin of all… that hurts.
In closing, I would like to just say ihop, you have officially made me a waffle house girl. You no longer have a place in my heart.

Visited this particular one Aug. 3, 2015 at around 12:30pm…Surprisingly it was not crowded at all since it was lunch time… It was a party of three and we were seated promptly.
First of all, the coffee served in a carafe was nice and hot and also delicious. Many places serve coffee that is very weak but at this I Hop the coffee strength was perfect for me…
One person in the party ordered an omelette and I and the other person ordered club sandwiches. The orders came out perfectly as one person ordered their sandwich on toasted wheat bread where as I preferred white toasted…
I ordered fruit along with my sandwich and the other party ordered french fries…
When the orders came my fruit was fresh and tasted great… The other person who ordered fries had so many on his plate he could not finish them all…
The sandwiches were prepared perfectly with just the right amount of mayo, lettuce and tomato in them… The bacon was to die for, nice thick slices, not those thin slices you normally get and the amount was plentiful… My only gripe was a true club sandwich should contain sliced turkey and I don’t remember tasting any in my sandwich but the sandwich itself was still very enjoyable…
I love french fries but opted for the fruit and glad I made that choice because if I had eaten some I wouldn’t have been able to finish my sandwich which I thoroughly enjoyed. Besides the fruit tasted much better than the usual fare one usually gets with freshness being the key…
A refill on the carafe was welcomed and came with coffee piping hot and again delicious…
I look forward to returning there and sampling some of the other items on the menu…
And our waitress was great and did not pester us but checked on us just enough so we could enjoy our meal without those constant interruptions…

Very Friendly and ready to Serve!
It was my first time going to this iHOP, but I everything was great. Once again I forgot to snap a photo of my Smokehouse Combo. I didn’t have the patience to pull my phone out for that picture. If I’m ever in this area again, this will be my iHOP.

I recently moved to this area & had no idea there was an IHOP a mile away from me. I was excited, until I went in with some friends and got served. 1^st of all, they served us all a small amount of food then what the meal should actually be. I ordered the usual, «Breakfast Sampler».
The waitress then tells me they don’t have ham and that I could either get extra bacon or Sausage. I told her extra bacon was fine. When the food gets to my table about 5min later with all of our meals, the plates look empty, I literally only got 1 extra piece of bacon, then I ask the waitress for the bottle of ketchup because that’s what IHOP usually have in their restaurants and just when I thought I saw it all, she gives me a bowl with a couple of ketchup pouches.
I was so disappointed on how they ran that IHOP restaurant. Maybe if they just took their time to cook full meals instead of skimp 5min meals, I wouldn’t have left there with an empty stomach. Shame on them.

I typically do not like to review chains like this, but… I’ve been off the grid for a bit (my Unilocal was down, or it was my phone) and this Ihop left me eh, disappointed.
This location was very slow, nothing wrong with that. They sat us right away… although the greeter seemed a little confused as to where to put us. We were headed to one table, and the manager, while sitting in a booth sipping a soda, shakes his hand at her and motions ‘not here’. We make a quick turn and find a table.
Our server was very pleasant. We order and wait… moments later she returns to say that they do not have any chicken noodle soup. Uh! Really!?! It’s an every day option on your menu. And well, that is what I wanted! Anyways, I opted for the potato soup, which turned out to be just fine and very filling. My love had the BLT with onion rings. He seemed to enjoy it.
The place probably could use a good wipe down. The table had pink stains all over it. and the menu was extremely sticky. Overall, it served our needs for a quick bite.

I came here with my husband and right when we entered the restaurant, it took a while for us to get seated for some reason. Then when we got seated, we had a really friendly waitress (which was probably the only good thing). The waitress gave us a lot of time to order the food which was nice but when the food came out, our waitress just stopped checking up on us. We wanted more water but our waitress was nowhere to be found…
About the food. when my husband and I got our food, it was ALL cold. We opened our silverware napkin and realized that our utensils were still dirty too but hey. our waitress was never around to get us a new set of silverware. Never coming back to this IHOP again.

Just left this IHOP for the 2^nd time in 6 month due to poor service, incorrect order, poor attitude of waitress, etc. I thought twice about going there, but went anyway. My expectations were better service this time, but no it did not happen. My food order came not as o requested, part of it was brought back to the kitchen to be redone while the remainder of my meal got cold on my table while waiting. After 15 minutes the rest of my order still never came. I inquired and was asked, «You did not get the rest of your order yet»? I said no, I’m leaving and I did not touch the food on the table. Then the waitress started to dargue with me regarding whether my order was cooked correctly to begin with. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant!

The service is horrible. Drinks were refilled for the first time right before we left. We were told our food would be out shortly, and 20 minutes later, shortly came. The guy serving us was very polite, and it seems clear that the service was linked to poor management and short staff.
Please save your time and go elsewhere…

Place is as one would expect. It’s IHOP, just like a Denny’s. Food is good and priced reasonably. I like going there strictly for breakfast. Although I’ve ordered off the lunch and dinner menu. Service was really good there. I forget the waitresses name but she got my hash browns cooked exactly the way I wanted from the cooks. It was awesome. My breakfast was perfect.
Would always go back to this establishment and this restaurant chain.

Wow the Reviews here are awful! I must have come on a good day.
It’s IHOP, the food will be what you expect. I have been to multiple IHOPs and the food is always consistent. It’s breakfast. How hard can it be? Don’t go in there ordering fish, burgers, or any other NON breakfast food and expect greatness. Order eggs, toast, pancakes, and call it a day.
Our server Jean was a rockstar. She was super nice, attentive with water refills, and she laughed at all my stupid jokes (always a plus). She did make a few small errors but like all rockstar servers was sincerely apologetic with lightning speed fixing skills. She’s human, tiny mistakes happen. She was 5 STARS!
However…
I can’t give IHOP a perfect score because of its value. I believe it’s WAY overpriced but oh well I only go on rare occasions otherwise I’d go broke over eggs. I love how they give you your own coffee pot because if you’re anything like me, I crush coffee fast! It’s my crack what can I say?
The verdict: Consistent BREAKFAST food, Jean rocked, but the value… MEH! When I’m in the mood to spend $ 16 on breakfast, coffee, and Jean… I’ll return.

Horrible service, moody staff that doesn’t care and cold food. My advice is to skip this location, visit Cracker Barrel or Waffle House instead.
Upon being seated our party was split up, between a 4 seater booth and 6 seater booth. The 6 seater was not cleaned and lacked placemats, menus and silverware until they asked for it.
NASTY WAITER and Drink Orders
Once the waiter arrived, we tried to inform her that we wanted to put in our drink and food orders together but she cut the me off and asked for the drink orders first. Once I explained the situation again she gave out a loud sigh as if the request irritated her.
Then we sat at the table for 10 – 13 minutes with no drinks. When the drinks arrived, our server spilled hot tea water on the table by pushing the kettle towards our elderly guest.
FINALLY THE COLD FOOD
Finally we received our food, after we brought up that larger parties that arrived after us had been served. Our server then threw different parts of the meals on the table, which lead to some guest asking for the missing parts of the orders. All the pancakes arrived cold. We had an elderly guest with us who ordered a salad and soup and she was the last to receive her meal 10 min after everyone else.
UNINTERESTED MANAGER
We asked to speak to the manager because the overall experince was chaotic and lack luster. We felt as if we were an inconvince to our waiter. When the manager came over to our table he didn’t seem to see a problem and tried to justify all the mistakes. He barely spoke up so we could hear him. Then he claimed that no one alerted him of our request to speak with him 10 mins earlier. Lastly, he said he would take something off the bill that never happened.
I am appalled that the server would treat the elderly with such disdain and disregard.
