Farm to Fork is an amazingly cozy hideaway on the outskirts of Newberg. It definitely merits a drive out here, even if you aren’t on your way to the coast or wine-tasting. Bring a paper, bring a book, and sit back and relax by the fireplace. You will feel like you’re eating in a Pottery Barn magazine, and it’s very quiet and cozy. I had the farmer’s breakfast and it was perfect: eggs, bacon, toast, jam and amazing, crispy potatoes. Coffee and orange juice were incredibly delicious as well. Their breakfasts are very reasonably priced and absolutely FRESH. You will notice the different, as everything comes from local, surrounding farms. Supporting our farmers and eating in a cozy environment? What more could you ask for in a breakfast restaurant!

So disappointing. Five of us for breakfast. Toast was burnt on my sandwich. My son’s French toast was dry as a bone. There are not a lot of choices in the area, but I won’t be back.

Breakfast/brunch rocks, very tasty and at a reasonable price. Try the sausage. Dinner…eh over priced not nearly as good as breakfast/brunch. The peach ice cream was a disaster. They also sell cheese/meat platters which would be excellent for a wine picnic.

The burger here is one of the best I have had. Really simple, but extremely well done. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Went there during off hours(late lunch) so can not speak to what the atmosphere is during busy time. Furniture/wall art reminds me a little of a mix between a country club and and the lobby of a hotel. I think they could improve there. Location is not great as it is in an odd strip mall that would lead you to easily drive past it if you didn’t have the location. But, the food was excellent.

We were passing through Dundee on our way to Portland from the coast. I was starting to look for a spot to set up our picnic when we saw the sign for Farm To Fork. I knew we had to stop and save the picnic for another day. I grabbed a menu, just to make sure, and was impressed by the selection of eats, the friendliness of the staff(although it was quiet inside, with maybe one table seated), and the décor inside.(it’s very well done, beautiful). So my husband and I unpacked the kiddos(ages 3 and 7) and headed inside. There is not a kid’s menu, but they were happy to put together plates for them. Both kids got grilled cheese sandwiches on artisan multigrain bread(which they sliced into«fingers» and stacked cutely), homemade potato chips, and sliced apple. For the quality I thought it was reasonable to pay $ 7 each, and the kids were happy. Service was quick and friendly. I had an awesome salad, and my husband had a delicious club sandwich. I only wish we could’ve stayed for dessert(had we been hungrier, but our b&b served such a huge breakfast that we we were eating lightly), and I hope we can visit in the future for dinner. Farm To Fork was very kid-friendly when we were there, at lunchtime on a quiet Friday. I’m not so sure it would be a destination to take them for dinner, just because of the ambiance of the place. This is a restaurant to enjoy dinner in, not be rushed by short attention spans. Definitely a spot for a date!

Delicious food with good ingredients that were well prepared. I enjoyed Farm to Fork and wold come here again. I got the dungeness crab salad, the hamburger and chocolate cake. The crab didn’t have much flavor. About the only part of the meal I didn’t like. But otherwise it was nicely prepared. The burger was tasty. Good quality meat perfectly cooked. And a nice bun. It tasted like the pickles they served on the side were freshly made. The chocolate cake had some nice chocolate flavor without being overly sweet. Service was good, although it took a little while to get my food even though I was one of a few customers in the restaurant, I didn’t order any wine but the wine list was excellent with several producers I wanted to try.

My experience at Farm to Fork seems to be in line with many others’ — four or five star food, two or three star service. We stopped in at Farm to Fork for lunch during out day of wine tasting in Dundee. While we weren’t in a hurry per se, we did have places to go, wine to drink, etc. At the end of the meal, it took nearly 15 minutes to get our check and get cashed out with our server. Admittedly, she seemed a little overwhelmed, so maybe not her fault. My turkey club sandwich was excellent, and served with delicious crunchy kettle chips. I have no doubt that the food here is high quality across the board, but I’d recommend that you allot more time here than you think you might need at a normal restaurant.

Farm to Fork is «outstanding!» While we were there, two different local farmers made small produce deliveries. Spinach and lettuce. Seeing this really proved the restaurant to us. The wine prices are also VERY nice. We had two $ 12 glasses of Bergstrom Pinot, which retails for $ 45 a bottle. Do the math… ain’t bad. We’ll definitely return.

Very disappointed by this place. Usually, when I see 4 stars on Unilocal,I’m excited, but this place broke the rule. The food was pricey and I didn’t feel like I was getting much value. The theory behind this place is that all of the ingredients are locally sourced, I ordered clams, but they didn’t have much taste and were too chewy to be fresh. The place was almost empty, so the service was fine, but I wasn’t thrilled by our servers suggestions. Ordered the chocolate orange crème brûlée for dessert. Again, it was fine, but nothing special. When I go to a restaurant, I want to feel like I am getting more than I paid for. I won’t say we overpaid, but with the high cost and«meh» quality, I probably wouldn’t bother to give this place another chance.

This place tries soooo freakin’ hard to be an upscale restaurant but it falls flat on its face. I like the concept therefore I wanted to have my socks knocked off but it didn’t happen. I understand that they just changed ownership so maybe I will give it one more try in a few months. We had reservations for a Saturdeay night. When we arrived, we were seated promptly at a nice table by the fireplace. The interior is warm and welcoming. We hade a chat with the gentleman who seated us and had a few questions that he couldn’t seem to answer. During this conversation he disclosed he was the manager. Shouldn’t a manager know just about everything about the menu?! Once we were seated, we sat for several minutes before a server came by. Actually, we sat for so long I got up with my water glass and asked one of the staff if we could have some water, please? I ordered the beet salad. The acidic dressing overpowered the sweetness of the beets. My boyfriend ordered the pâté and the sunchoke soup and he was equally underwhelmed. I love duck confit! I had been looking forward to trying the duck here because I had read rave reviews about it. I wish I could be leaving the same review. Our duck was not just crispy, it was CRUNCHY {read overcooked}. I am not sure what else to say except I owe my boyfriend an apology. He wanted to eat at Painted Lady and I treumped him with the promise of delicious duck confit.

Another great meal here with excellent service. Had the trout scramble again and it was just as good as last summer. We stayed for quite a long brunch and never got the stink eye for occupying a large table. We’ll be back!

Had breakfast here, been wanting to try it ever since they opened so we finally made it in. The place is rustic, and cozy, the staff was just alright– a little slow. The food was great! I ordered the Fritatta– had to take half to go it was a large portion, the bacon from Carlton farms was really, really good! Nice thick cuts. Price– a little spendy, but a nice splurge once in a while.

Nice place to stop for a bite if you’re in Dundee. Be prepared to spend some money – the wine is marked up, of course – but no more than reasonably expected. The sandwiches were very tasty and the portions were just right. What really caught my attention, though, was the dessert. We split this thing that was a lavender/honey/orange peel kind of mousse deal. It was flavorful and like no dessert I’d ever had. The wine list is about four or five pages long and features local and non-local wines. The list denotes which wines are Sustainable, Organic, or Biodynamic. We tried a bottle from a winery we’d never heard of and were please with our choice. Overall quite a satisfying experience.

What a tasty place! We were out wine tasty on Saturday morning and we were looking for a lunch place when the folks at Torii Mor suggested this place. I had seen the signs and always wanted to stop, so we decided that we would give it a try. We ordered sandwiches for lunch but these were no ordinary sandwiches. They were carefully made and they came with two sides, homemade potato chips and salad. Perfect. We purchase a local bottle of wine and drank part of the bottle and took the rest home for our dinner later. The décor was a mix of earth tones which we both loved and it was decorated with many items to purchase as well. I didn’t get to close to any of those items for fear I would find something I couldn’t live without. I would definitely like to try this place again. It was a welcome surprise. Based on some of the reviews I read on Unilocal prior I was a bit apprehensive but that was completely unfounded. I look forward to returning to this fine establishment.

A bit underwhelming for the price. I’ve had more and better for a $ 12 breakfast. 3 pieces of bacon, 2 eggs, 6 potato quarters = $ 9(see pic) + coffee($ 3)

Maybe it was chance but I think this may have been one of the best duck I’ve ever had. Maybe it just so happened that this duck was meant for me and was fresh that very day but it was truly was one of the most delicious meals of my life. The service was very attentive and the server was extremely professional and timely. I usually don’t break it down quite like this but this restaurant deserves a thorough review… We started with a glass of Crumbled Rock pinot noir and the duck pâté with brioche and pickled bing cherries. The pâté was so delicate, savory, sweet and melt in your mouth. Not too heavy like some pâté can be and utterly indulgent. We then tried the fresh peach salad with blue cheese, roasted pistachios and balsamic reduction, again very tasty and fresh. Ok, the main course, the BEST course. My Hub’s got the pork chop, with chard and new potatoes. It has a mustard cream sauce, it was very good but my duck blew it out of the water. I had the peking duck leg on top of curly frisee greens, roasted hazelnuts, blue cheese and roasted figs. The duck was fall off the bone tender but not fatty ATALL. The flavor combination was out of this world. Salty, sweet, savory and the textures were so complimentary. I can’t say enough about this dish, go and try it for yourself and you won’t think this review is duck crazy! Lastly we finished with the honey lavendar panna cotta. I don’t think this needs any explanation.

This is a great place to stop for lunch while wine tasting. The food was amazing. I had a croque madame. It was delicious. I also tasted my friend’s burger and it was one of the best I’ve ever tested. They have good non-alcoholic drinks like wine soda. The service was great and the place is really cute.

Stopped in for late lunch last week. Based on Unilocal reviews and other buzz we were expecting great things. Some expectations were met. Some were not. In summary, a mixed bag experience. Good enough that we’d go back to give it another shot. The space was pleasant. The food was very, very good. But the service, although friendly, was so disjointed as to «sink the ship» to a three star experience instead of four. SETTING: We were expecting something more intimate than we found in the huge room with high ceilings and exposed duct work. But this is a great space in spite of how much it first seems to «reduce you» by its volume when you enter. While it was less intimate, it was also less«toney» than we thought it might be. It is a «friendly» place. We liked the vibe. Think country inn meets SOHO loft. Nice eclectic pairing of country wood tables and contemporary upholstered(and comfy) chairs on one side and a large, long service counter on the the other where the deli menus are posted on huge blackboards. Walking straight through the restaurant leads to Press which is the wine bar. A handsome built in case near Press has display of wines for sale. Lovely windows in the restaurant look out onto patio seating and both the main part of the restaurant and Press sport fireplaces. FOOD: The lunch menu had two sides, «from the deli» and«from the kitchen» with each side offering a sizable list of creative options and price points from about $ 6 to $ 14. We ordered from the kitchen, starting with semolina crusted onion rings with horseradish crema. The presentation was lovely with maybe a dozen(minus) rings laid out on top of the crema. They were perfectly crispy. They probably would have been really good had they been served hot and not lukewarm. That is one of the service snafus for discussion later. We also had duck confit salad, served with wine poached black figs, Oregon blue cheese on a bed of wilted fresh greens(mizuna?) with hazelnut aillade. The confit was perfect, the salad was wonderful and the dish was beautifully plated. Plenty for two to share and well worth the $ 14 price. WINE: The wine list was divided between whites and reds, as one would expect, but in a nice twist also separated by Old World and New World. There were a good number of bottle choices in price points from as little as $ 27 to $ 135 or so. There were many wines by the glass in prices from $ 7 to $ 18. We picked a $ 9/glass sparkler. And waited. And waited. Story to be continued in the section below as this was another of the service snafus. SERVICE: It’s uncomfortable to be critical of the service as everyone was friendly. But it was inexcusably disjointed. Hard to explain as it was far from a full house of customers and there seemed to be plenty of staff. As example, no fewer than three different staff members came to the table behind us to explain the soup of the day but no one came back to take the order for quite a long time. Same with the table across from us where three different staff people asked diners if they wanted a box for leftovers but then no box arrived. Our experience was that once seated with menus, we were immediately asked for a beverage order. We asked for«a minute» to read the menus. It was nearly fifteen minutes before we saw our server again to order. Then, after placing our order, the same thing happened for the wine service. From our table we could see the bartender pour the sparkler. It sat on the bar top for a long time before the bartender delivered it herself.(Good for her.) As she set it down she said«I’ll be happy to do a fresh pour as this might be a bit warm.» Yes, it was. From sitting on the bar waiting on our server. The bartender graciously replaced it. Then the onion rings arrived, not delivered by our server but someone else, lukewarm at the same time that server provided a hot plate of rings to her table adjacent to ours.(Good for her for taking the initiative to deliver food that was orphaned in the kitchen by our server.) We might have sent the rings back for a hot order, but there was no one around to ask about that, we were hungry and even room temp the rings were good. The main course arrived, right on the heels of the onion rings, at perfect temp and delicious! But once again, not from our server but yet another member of the staff. Our server did reappear to ask how things were going as we were halfway through the delectable duck confit. And once again to take our orders for dessert — a scoop of house made lemon poppyseed ice cream and a scoop of blood orange sorbet. The sorbet was tart/sweet perfect! The vanilla bean ice cream that was delivered instead of the lemon option we ordered was good too. We would have asked, once tasted, why a different flavor was delivered than we ordered but there was no server in sight to ask. So it went. But we’ll try again. Every place can have one bad day. The food was worth another visit.

For those that were fans of the late Hunters Ridge Grill, its former executive chef Paul Bachand is now cooking up his culinary delights down in Dundee. I haven’t been here for breakfast or lunch, but dinner service has always been extremely enjoyable and well worth the long(er) drive out there. Farm to Fork is a fine-dining style restaurant serving perfectly portioned American cuisine for about $ 30 a person after wine and tip. In the times I have gone, the food has always been superb and I find myself literally picking the plate clean of every last bit right down to the garnishes, but I’m not leaving hungry. The fresh salads are definitely worth getting but can be quite large. I would suggest splitting it with another person if you’re both going to be ordering a main course. The butter lettuce salad is my personal favorite. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable, friendly and prompt. They accept all major credit cards and take reservations. I noticed that the place is extremely poorly lit outside, so in the dark winter evenings, it can be hard to find.
