This restaurant was great. Their bread offering, soup, cod, paella, and salad were all professionally prepared and gourmet seasoned. Wine list a little disappointing, but the service was great and they worked with you on it. I would definitely go back.

Tried to place carry out order but too busy, in my business world that equal hire more staff during busy periods and expand kitchen. Also they do not update online menu and keep accurate.

I wish I could write a great review for this place. It is so cute and the wait person was kind, but the food was just awful! I had what were supposed to be braised short ribs but what I got was a glob of gristle and fat plus the vegetables were so coated in MSG that I got a headache. My dining companion fared much better than I with a pasta dish that was similar to beef stroganoff. Desserts were okay but not great. Too bad. So cute!

The building looks much nicer on the inside than the outside. The food was hardly innovative but tasty and though I suspect they used to have a much deeper winelist, what is there now had plenty of great choices, too. The service wasn’t perfect but it was the waitress’s first day so we’ll cut her some slack.

If you like garlic, it’s the place to go. I was so looking forward to eating here, as I have seen it for years, but the food was drenched in garlic and I could hardly eat it. Even the salad dressing was super garlicky… not my thing. I think the chef here is known for being great, but I would not go back because I will be paying for it on my breath for days! The food would be amazing if the garlic wasn’t all you tasted:(

Nested in a cute little house off of Hwy 99. You would never know there’s such a cute little place here with the mosty wonderful food around. Came here with friends and service is excellent. The waiter was very knowledgeable of all the food on the menu and where they came from. He was very good with paring wine with each dish too. Recommended me one of the best tasting local Pinot Noir with my mushroom dish. We ordered the crab cakes, wild mushroom pasta and five chocolate ice cream. Crab cakes — very tasty each bite was very flavorful and they make it east coast style. Which means more crab and less breadcrumbs. Mushroom pasta — I swear there was at least 4 different types of local Oregon mushrooms in this dish. They also use fresh pasta in this dish making it one of the best tasting italian dish I’ve ever tasted in Oregon. Five chocolate ice cream: I know ice cream is pretty common item but this one stands out. Each bite I took of the ice cream there was a different chocolate chunk in it. It’s made of white, milk, dark, Mexican and Belgian chocolates. Very tasty wish they sold it in pints for me to take home. Portions are huge for the price you pay. Also having a meal here means you get to enjoy the freshest local produce Oregon has to offer. Save this place for special occasions.

We had a nice birthday meal here one evening. It was good but a little bit expensive. It’s a cozy house like so many Yamhill restaurants. I’d say: Try it once.

Food was good, but it is a quiet place without much atmosphere. They were out of a few things too.

Wife had short ribs and they were good, but any fool can make short ribs. I ordered the filet medium rare and it arrived medium well. I have to imagine that the first thing you learn in culinary school is how to cook a steak therefore I must conclude that there is no real real chef at this establishment.

Moved to Newberg a year ago and so far, this is my favorite of all dinner spots between Corvallis and Portland on 99. The atmosphere is warm, romantic and the staff are very professional, AND the food is absolutely wonderful – fresh, local, diverse and always changing. It’s a small place, so make reservations on the weekend. You will love it!

I am not sure how to give no stars. Run from this place — seriously. One server, no bus help, and seven tables. With an incredibly slow server. We sat 20 minutes after ordering our wine and a full 45 minutes until our green salad and corn chowder arrived. The music was LOUD and we asked twice for it to be turned down. It was replaced with blaring salsa music which made it impossible to enjoy our dining experience. We gave up by then. Oh yes, I forgot to mention the food. Corn chowder was full of flour and flavorless. My pâté was drenched in a mayonnaise type sauce that ruined what should have been a delicate flavor. My husband’s short ribs were fatty and full of gristle. Paying the check was like winning a ‘get out of jail free’ card.

I came here with my boyfriend, and we had a nice meal. Pros: –Cute house –Friendly staff –Interesting menu –Huge wine list –Nice presentation on the food –We had a delicious filet mignon dinner. The mashed potatoes, vegetables, and mushroom reduction were all excellent. Cons: –I told the waiter I have a wheat allergy and asked him to double check everything we ordered with the chef, to make sure it would be safe for me to eat. He brought me a salad that had soy sauce in the dressing. I can’t really blame the waiter for this, but any chef at a restaurant as fancy as this should know that soy sauce has wheat in it. The waiter apologized and brought me a fresh salad with oil and vinegar. The new salad was delicious. Luckily I only had a couple bites of the first one, and I am gluten-intolerant, not actually allergic, so I just got a bit of a stomachache later. If I had a true wheat allergy, I could have been much more sick. –We also ordered the halibut with pesto sauce, rice pilaf, and vegetables. Everything was good but a little too salty(particularly the pesto sauce). Overall, this restaurant was pretty good.

Indifferent service and a surprising corkage fee made an otherwise good meal less than the pleasant experience we were expecting. A problem with a small stone which somehow was found in one of the dishes was dismissed so I assume happens enough to warrant such a reaction.

Lovely restaurant for sure. This is a small, quaint restaurant with fresh ingredients, well prepared. Nice wine list too. BTW, don’t bring your little ones. They are nice here and will accommodate, but this is a small restaurant and no one wants to hear a fussing toddler.

Wow! My favorite restaurant in Dundee. Outstanding friendly service, intimate setting, and the food is ALWAYS delicious. If you are a foodie, you will be thrilled with this place, from the appetizers to the dessert. My favorite appetizer is the Dungeness Crab Cakes with Sundried Tomato Aioli. Best crab cakes I’ve ever had. They have an appetizer dish with roasted garlic and goat cheese and crostini which is yummy as well. Their scallops are the best I’ve EVER tasted(my husband is a scallops fan), but be warned they don’t have them on the menu every night(Red Hills, let us know when they are on again!). I love their Pinot Noir Braised Organic Short Ribs of Beef. Their Oregon Wild Mushroom Pasta w/Dark Rum & Sherry is in a fabulous cream sauce. My daughter had the Rainbow Chard and Pancetta Pasta, which was great. My son-in-law loved the duck. Really, probably anything you get on their menu will be delightful, because I have been there 10 times now and it is amazing every time. Their desserts are house made, even the gelato on your almond apple torte. Yummmm… Call to make a reservation, though sometimes they have room for walk in’s.

The owner is the chef here and his wife is the server/hostess. This is an incredibly quaint/cozy/intimate setting for a wonderful meal. The halibut and the sauce on top was a great mixture of fresh and savory. They have a small menu, but everything is fresh/local/and good. Wine list is very good. Service wonderful. I would definitely be back. It’s a darn shame not more people know about this gem of a restaurant.

Yum yum. Fancy dining in a renovated home. Outstanding food. They have a good wine selection, of course, since it’s in Dundee. Excellent service. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. And they have edible flowers as garnish which is fun. A fine restaurant to cap off a day of wine tasting.

I had dinner here on a Saturday evening with my mom. It’s a small and very nice restaurant, with its pluses and minuses. Plus: food is very good, and service is mostly attentive(although it seemed to take a while for us — and at least one other table near us — to be able to place our orders). Minus: loud diners are easily heard throughout the place due to the small size. We were near a loud 6-top that had probably been wine tasting all day. Two of the 6 were very loud, with one diner calling the server(= owner), «sweetheart». However, she handled them graciously, and was able to quiet them to some degree. Too bad their limo driver was dining there too — at his own table, on his cell phone(and it rang a couple times). Grr. Aside from the negative distractions provided by this table and their driver, we managed to have a wonderful dinner, with a gracious server(=owner). Service, once we ordered, was attentive, intelligent, kind, and helpful. The food was delicious, but uncomplicated. Reservations are a must. If you’re in the area, it’s well worth a visit.
