These guys are quickly becoming my go to breakfast spot. Their pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches as well as their omelettes, and potatoes are great! The guys and lady behind the counter are also super friendly and really appreciate your business. It can get pretty cramped in here as it is a small space but they turn out their orders quick so you won’t find yourself waiting long. I called ahead today and my food was ready in 5 minutes! I plan on writing an updated review as I haven’t tried the one thing that I should be trying, which are the weiners. To be continued…

Great Texas Wieners here. Very fast paced restaurant /diner packed into a tiny location on the main drag. Great tasting chili sauce that sticks with you for a while. A return trip is warranted to explore the menu further.

Best Texas Weiner hands down. Best chili sauce and I love their dogs. I’m not sure where that previous person got their information from. They don’t use Hatfield dogs. in fact their dogs look nothing like a Hatfield. Go in and order 20 or 30 dogs like I do sometimes and you’ll walk out with a box full of them, possibly in a Grote & Weigel box. smaller brand from Connecticut area. I am guessing they get them shipped in because I can’t find them for sale anywhere around here. I could eat their chili by itself it’s so good. Love the cheese steak with chili and cheese also. I mentioned in my other reviews, I live over an hour away now, but when I come back to the area I have to stop at J&G, Rome Pizza, or Mr. Assante. Sometimes all three!

Great spot hiding in a small town! This place is very busy. Of you are not from around there… you will not know where to order from and where to pick up food bc the place is packed and there are no signs. Overall the burger and real man made patties and the hot does look to die for up close and personal. They really have a fan base and I see why. Great spot for a dog or anything really. They have very thing.

«J & G’s» Texas Wieners(Jimmy & Georges) is a Dunellen landmark. One of the reasons that makes them so successful is that 97% of the time one of them is always there ensuring that that you receive fast professional and consistently a good«greasy spoon» experience serving breakfast all day every day. To expound on «greasy spoon» be careful if you order takeout not to put the bag on your cloth car seat as you will have some grease cleanup to do for sure. If you’re looking for premium provisions such as Shickhaus dogs, Taylor pork roll or Farmland bacon you won’t find them here. However what you will find is the«Budget» luncheonette standard fare reasonably priced and cooked with care to perfection. The cooks usually listen when you place your order with your waitress as the place is so small they are usually within earshot and quickly and attentively provide you with exactly what you asked for the first time every time. From the crispy Hatfield dogs to the toasted rolls, they care about how you want it and you never leave disappointed. Their pancakes are great and if you’re a burger person you get a consistently good burger at a fair price. You can also have any cheese you can imagine, as long as its American or Swiss. LOL… I would expect this place to be around another 37 years as it only seems to get busier as the decades pass by!

Good Texas Weiner’s and awesome fries. Eat them quick before the bun gets soggy and falls apart in you. $ 3 a Weiner is a little pricey though compared to other places, but the fries make up for it. I’ll have to try the other sandwiches next time.

Hands down best chili dog in the country. Tops Ben’s in DC and anything Chicago can offer. «Two up «is what to order when sitting at the counter. Chili, Onion and mustard on a flat top grilled dog wrapped in a steam warmed bun. Consistency and spice of the chili is what sets them apart. Been going since I was a kid. Sacred ground in this family.

Great greasy spoon. If you’re a Texas Weiner fan, J&G will definitely satisfy. Large juicy dogs on a toasted bun with chili, onions, and yellow mustard on top. The chili is Greek style, a bit exotic for New Jersey, but exactly like the chili dogs you find in Cincinnati. The folks that run this place are terrific, very warm and friendly. I was nursing the last few sips of my Pepsi and they basically insisted on giving me a free refill. If you’re in the area and in the mood J&G is a great choice for breakfast, lunch or a quick greasy snack.

Best weiners in NJ, hands down! The chili weiner is awesome and the recipe is top secret. The place is packed at lunch so if you want to eat in, good luck getting a seat as the place is small. It’s been there for over 40 years and nothing seems to ever change. They still have the Archie Bunker décor. Friendly and prompt service. The burgers are tastey too. Reasonable prices. They usually have a girl behind the counter with a pair of healthy hooters and she’ll give you a nice cleavage shot when she bends over the counter to take your order. You’ll leave there with a full tummy and a rock hard woody. Lots of fat people eat there and that’s why they are fat because they frequent the place too often. Make sure you have some rolaids handy because the chili can reak havoc on your stomach. Plus when you get home you might get a good case of chili farts. There was a fat dude sitting on the stool next to me and he was ripping some serious wind as he was devouring three chili dogs. He ripped one that was so loud that the whole counter shook. Dunellen was once a clean, proud little town but now it’s more of a ghetto.
