Dupont Family Dentistry

I just had my first teeth cleaning with Dr. G and he was awesome. Super nice and professional. I’m new to the area so just like all new residents I Unilocal everything. Decided to give them a try and so happy I did! The cleaning went very well and quick. Everyone in the office was so nice and helpful. :) would recommend!

After being a patient here for over a year — I’m more than happy to recommend this place to anyone in need of dental care.
They’re the only practice that I’ve ever been to that does x-​rays AFTER your procedure is finished to check that their work was done efficiently.
On top of that, they’re always so incredibly pleasant and professional — I really enjoyed having them take care of my *many* dental needs.
I wish they were here in Southern California, now that we’ve moved on.
They’re the best in the industry!

Hopefully things were fixed from last visit here. The Dr. Was very helpful and walked me through the entire process before and after. Might have to
come back for another visit!

I have been going to this dentist office for seven years. I believe the doctor always has my best interest at heart.

Originally, I was really pleased with services at DuPont Family Dental. The staff & dentists all seemed friendly. I even recommended them to some friends who just pcs’d/relocated to WA state. This whole image shattered after my sons appt today with Dr. Ludu to have his teeth removed. I’m sure if the dentist office reads this they will know exactly who wrote it, because the visit pretty much ended with a very unnerving argument in front of everyone.
Dr. Ludu’s aggressive nature has no place in a facility that sees children. My son was in tears by the time we left and never once did he offer any empathy. In fact, he argued every reason why it wasn’t his fault and how he’s done this for 25 yrs and knows my son was not in pain.(note: never tell a mother you know more about whether on their child is in pain). The argument went on for at least a few minutes and never once did he try to calm the situation or take a more professional approach. In fact, his aggressive response only made things worse. If a Dr. Is this aggressive in person I can only imagine how aggressive he is with removing teeth. It’s unfortunate because now my child is completely traumatized by the experience.
We are now searching for another dentist.

I have been to this office twice in the past 8 months and I love them!
I have severe anxiety about the dentist and I am straight forward about it with them. Before I went my first time I hadn’t been to the dentist in 5 years, also I had three children in three years, my mouth was a wreck. I went to another office in Dupont and they were rude and the hygienist I had was very rough. So I decided to try Dupont Family Dentistry and I have not been disappointed!
On my first visit I had an amalgam filing replaced with a composite and a routine cleaning. They treated my like an adult, unlike the other place, and made sure to remind me about flossing but not lecture me!
Today I went again for another cleaning and to have three minor cavities filled. They did a great job! I was anxious and they went slow and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The dentist and I had a nice conversation while he was cleaning my teeth afterwords.
I highly recommend them and I actually look forward to my next visit!

Today I decided to stop into Dupont Family Dentistry office to inquire whether they treat minor TMJ.
Well the conversation went like this.
Me — Excuse me ma’am does this office treat minor TMJ?
Lady behind the desk — What???
Me — Uhm are you in a bad mood today?
Me — Walked out…
I didn’t get her name but she seemed fairly young with short blonde hair worn pulled back. What stood out the most was her non-​engaging demeanor, cold callous gaze, and overall irritation with my presence.
As I approached the desk, I noticed she seemed fixated on the computer monitor. Maybe she was in the middle of updating her Facebook page or a game of solitaire. Whatever the reason, I will NOT be returning to this dentist and warn all other fellow Unilocalers to steer clear. I looked online for other reviews and although I am the first on Unilocal,there are several on Yahoo that are poor.
Perhaps I caught her on a bad day but there will not be a second time to make a first impression!

As a traveling trainer, I am on the road 100%. I was staying in Dupont, WA while on assignment to Ft Lewis. I had a dental emergency that needed to be addressed before I could return to my home in FL.
I called DuPont Family Dentistry and was scheduled for an appt that afternoon.
X-​rays revealed that I had a cracked filling.
I was given the total amount up front and was told it would take an hour I opted to have the procedure done ASAP.
The staff scheduled my procedure for the next afternoon after rearranging their schedules.
During the procedure, the staff explained each step.
I was so comfortable during that hour, I actually fell asleep.
I am so pleased with the way and manner my emergency dental situation was handled
