We went there on a Thursday evening. Someone,(nameless now) told us it was good. Well we found the food to be bland and tasteless! and portions small. I’m sorry to say we won’t be returning anytime soon.

The service in this place is fast, and the staff is very friendly and polite until you ask them if they could replace your dish with another because after two bites you realized that the Almond Chicken you ordered did not taste good. Then the owner/manager will come to your table and have the waitress interpret for him in English to tell you that they refuse to do that because the food will be wasted and they would lose money. But if you like, you can order and pay for another dish for 50% off. SERIOUSLY??? They expect their customer to consume and pay for a tasteless dish because they don’t want to lose $ 8.00? So they would rather lose patrons? Well, I shared my experience with family, friends, coworkers and people I know so this place is definitely crossed off the list of places we frequent for lunch. Maybe they should consult their accountant and ask about business loss tax write off. POORCUSTOMERSERVICE, WON’T BEBACK!!!

The customer service is terrible. My friend ordered Almond Chicken. The Almond Chicken was awful. Instead of just replacing it with another dish. They told her she was wasting food and her she could take it home. They expected her to eat it. The server was VERY rude. If she wanted something else she would have to pay for it. All I can say is I will never go back and will not recommend this place. Military beware of eating here.

Having become a bit of a «Lunch Special» snob, I was pleasantly surprised to find Fortune Cookie’s mid-day offerings to be greatly superior to most of the other Chinese restaurants I have sampled around the Puget Sound area. With a very good selection to choose from, all items were very reasonably priced,. I was treating a co-worker for a quick lunch(he tried the Chicken Curry & I ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan). In addition to the main entrée, the lunch specials included a choice of Egg Drop or Hot & Sour soup and was accompanied by an egg roll and crab rangoon. Our meals were very quickly prepared and served and I was not only grateful to be able to confidently identify the meat in my Moo Goo as being chicken, but it was fresh, moist and all together very competently prepared. As for the wait service, our server was unobtrusive, but attentive, never allowing our drinks to become completely empty and prompt and pleasant in providing extra condiments(i.e. hot chili oil), all the while equally providing service to the other guests in the restaurant. On all points: 1) Atmosphere, 2) Service, 3) Quality of food, 4) Promptness of delivery, I rate the Fortune Cookie restaurant outstanding on all counts. Reading some of the other reviews, I may be hesitant to order delivery, but I can strongly endorse this establishment as a great place to dine in.

Great food BUT don’t bother ordering delivery. We’ve ordered a couples times and they left off an entire meal and never told us. We paid for it… Twice! Don’t count on getting everything you order. Again, the food is fantastic however. But I would recommend going to the restaurant. The customer service isn’t great either. They don’t seem to care if they mess up your order.

For a small restaurant in DuPont, this place is pretty good. My fave is of course the pad Thai. Never disappointed. I love that it’s very saucy and full of flavor no matter what you order it with(I always pick shrimp or chicken). My new favorite is their Iced Thai tea! So delicious. Sweet and cold and super yummy. My husband ordered the Yellow Chicken curry and it was alright but not the best we’ve tasted compared to other restaurants. But the pad Thai again, won’t disappoint lol. Oh and the prices are awesome! About 8 – 9 dollars a dish when we went during lunch. It’s a good sized plate too!

This Chinese/Thai restaurant is the best in DuPont. Their lunch special is really affordable you get soup and your combination plate for less than $ 8. The waiter kept refilling our drinks, the food was hot and we got it really fast. Definitely coming back here again.

We ordered delivery from this place before and this was the second time they messed up. First of all, if your doing delivery you have to mention you want silverware. Which should be a given. Second we found a long piece of hair in our rice. Called them and they were not reasonable calming that never happened. I wanted to talk to the manager and ask for a refund but they never got on the phone. I am never going back to this place again.

We went on a Tuesday night with my husband to order and we waited for an hour! We order around 540 and this other person order 10 minutes after us we could tell her order was bigger, 40 minutes later we heard that the person after us receive their food before us, they prioritize a bigger order, we order whore rice with ribs and Lo mein and we waited for hour, it was a big disappointment.

This little classic family run Chinese restaurant is a quick and easy stop off I-5. The food is consistency tasty, the portions large and the service fast and friendly. We have stopped here several times on our way home from Seattle when we wanted something quick — but not just a burger. On our last visit a few days ago I had their Mongolian Beef and it was just how I like it, my wife had Pad Thai and she was equally pleased. It appears they do a big take out business with many customers coming in to take their dinners home… always a good sign.

I love this place. Prices are great, portions feed your eyes and your stomach, very quick service, and consistent. I order the same thing all the time – basil jalapeño chicken fried rice! Packed with flavor and easy to eat!

We used to order from here all the time. I think it became too popular too soon and they didn’t know how to handle it. Half the time our order for delivery gets lost. Usually after an hour I’ll call them back and they’ll give me an excuse and promise it in 20 min, I’ll have to call them back after an hour and a half and they’ll have to re make our order that was never brought to us. In addition, the quality of the food is going down hill. They also seem to be always missing something with our order. It never fails, our order and food is always messed up in some way. It’s sad because this place used to be pretty good.

I will never, ever order from this place again! This is my second order from them and once again they screwed it up. I literally ordered over TWOHOURS ago. The first time they delivered our food, not only was it late, it was the wrong order. The driver was very nice and said he would go back to get our correct order. The man on the phone told my husband it would be half an hour, at the most. ONEHOUR later, our correct order has finally arrived. They have offered no compensation or even a reduced rate. When I called the restaurant, the woman was not nice or friendly, and I told her we would never be ordering from them again. She said, «That’s OK.» NEVERNEVERNEVERAGAIN!

Ordered food for delivery. It was a large order. When I got it, it was missing one of my soups. I called back and they had given me a rice meal instead of the soup. They came back promptly with the soup. Overall, service is good and food is good. Been a long customer, will continue to order.

This review is a little overdue, and to clarify, I ordered delivery so this review will reflect just that. My wife and I were brand new to the area and looked up some Thai places and we settled on Fortune Cookie. The delivery was quick and our food and soup was well contained and that’s always a plus, right?! I ordered the chicken pad Thai and my wife ordered General Tso’s tofu. We also ordered a serving of the won ton soup. The level of spice goes a long way here, I might add. I love spicy food and got the medium and was very satisfied with the level of heat. Won ton soup was full of fresh vegetables and was very colorful and appealing. Taste was equally as good! The pad Thai was awesome, very large portions. General Tso’s tofu was very good as well. Large tofu pieces covered in delicious sauce all over a bed of rice. Writing this review makes me want to head down there right now! I will definitely eat there again! I bring it up regularly to my wife to go back again!

My husband loves fortune cookie. His go to meal is the green curry! I also a fan of the green curry with chicken. I love the cream cheese rangoons. The service is nice, but on weeknight a this restaurant does get a little cramped but the food is totally worth it! I love the Thai tea also!

I see a lot of JBLM wives recommending this place and raving how good it is. I think I must of missed something because this place was horrible! Sure, the staff was nice and was patient when my friend’s baby decided to share her cheerios with the floor. The food on the other hand? I went the safe route and just ordered their chicken lo mein which came with an egg roll and crab rangoon, except the filling was missing and I ended up with an empty shell. My friend ordered their pad thai which she decided to give it a second chance. I’m not sure where everyone has been getting their pad thai at, but its missing EVERYTHING. The sauce is extremely sweet and there’s no kick to it. And it was just overall not good. Everyone has their own perspective of what is considered good Chinese out here, but this is not it.

Large portion, good price. Solid choice for a quick lunch. Stopped by Fortune Cookies Chinese restaurant for a lunch stop on our way back to Seattle from Portland. I have to admit the place is a pleasant surprise. The portion is generous, vegetable and meat are fresh, and the price is pretty good. As to the flavor, for a quick lunch place inside a plaza, it’s very decent. The menu says it’s Chinese/Thai and we only ordered Chinese dishes, so I can’t say much about their Thai food. Three lunch special entries for $ 26 including tax. Price is pretty good. I’ve took a few pictures and uploaded them here in Unilocal

Not for me. We ordered, she asked us what kind of soup we wanted we made a choice. She said we could get pineapple fried rice with S1 — we were fine with paying extra-. She told us it would be a 30 min wait. Ok with that… 25 minutes in to our 30 min wait she comes out and says we cannot get the pineapple rice after all. Got home no soup in bag… WTF? After making us choose what kind? Attached is a photo of the $ 28.12 meal you decide if you want to go… I’ll pass thank you . *** I took time just now to read some of the other reviews on this place… wow 5 stars? I must have been in some other alternate universe or these people had a VERY off night. The food was comparable to the $ 5.99 take out Chinese places in NC that all have the menus with the big photos of the combination plates on the walls. The fried rice was AWFUL it was so dried out look at the photo. these combination plates we got were over $ 12 each. sad sad sad. 4 and 5 stars?
