Very good food with fast courteous service. Three of us were in and out in less than 45 minutes. I really enjoyed my spiced chicken. It was not overly«hot,» but it still gave some heat. Side of lightly pickled cabbage was very good, I thought. It looked like they have nightly dinner special. Dinner price starting from $ 8.95 is very reasonable for what you eat. It’s a short one minute walk from Hampton Inn across the parking lot. Enjoy.

We order takeout from here pretty frequently. The owner always greets me by name when I walk through the door. The food always comes out quickly and tastes great.

For the lack of better options in Dupont, I go here for lunch with co-workers. Service and food preparation are prompt. Food is consistent. It’s not amazing but tastes good enough. I would not drive to Dupont to go to this restaurant but I am grateful this lunch option is available in the food-challenged Dupont.

If you’re staying at the Hampton Inn next door and you don’t want to drive in the worst traffic that God ever created on the face of this earth then this restaurant may be a good pick… also because it’s the only one close by. When you walk in your greeted by the standard Chinese restaurant décor with the addition of a couple of plastic picnic benches which blend right in perfectly. The menu appears to be pretty straight forward until you’re presented with the fact that you can not order what you want to order and there is no sides that you want to add except for the sides that they say you can add which are not in the menu if that makes sense. Don’t worry not all is lost the presentation of the food looks like something out of a fancy shmancy magazine and the general Tao’s chicken is delicious. a little bit of a backstory on general Tao’s chicken it was created in 1722 by general Tao himself who is looking for a scrumptious little treat to put over his chicken during the war. anyways if you’re staying at the Hampton looking for the only place in walking distance and you like Chinese food you got a good solid 3 star eating location right here at your doorstep.

Food is reasonablly priced. My family has been here a few times since its right out back of the Hampton Inn. Lunch special is a great choice for something quick. Ordered to go and about 10 minutes later it was ready.

I am out here visiting so i Unilocaled restaurants near by so i picked this place cause of the ratings. I got here 35 min before closing and while seating the waitress came up and said we had 30 min. At that point i felt rushed and ended up taking my food to go. i didn’t feel that was right and kinda felt kicked out. But other then that the food was ok nothing special.

so we went there two weeks ago for first time and everything was great(except for the service) but we decided to come back for the food. what a big mistake, food was salty we could not even eat it and service so rude as the first time. No coming back ever again.

One this I will say is that this place really knows how to do business especially at lunch time. They understand that the mainly military but also surrounding employed clientele have short time periods in which they can actually sit down and eat. You can also order ahead by calling and that’s another quick way in and out of this joint. They have a lot of selection on the menu of all the traditional items one would find in this sort of restaurant so you’re almost guaranteed to find something you like on the menu. I normally get the veggie fried rice and it’s always steaming hot and pretty good in my belly as well. There aren’t a huge amount of vegetables in the fried rice but it still has a good flavor. I’m still trying to find a good Asian restaurant that makes fried rice like it’s made on the East Coast. The rice is just made differently over here. I also get the spring rolls as well and those are also good. My friends have had the beef yakisoba which always smells bangin’ and the garlic shrimp which always has my friend rolling her eyes back in her head at how good it is. Anyway, everything tastes fresh and I know I mentioned that everything comes out fast but it really is super fast here. Oh and it’s a fair price as well for the amount of food you get. There are more than the normal amount of waitresses in here to get sauce or refill drinks so it speeds people in and out. Honestly, since there aren’t a lot of places to eat at directly in DuPont, I can say that Happy T DuPont is actually one of my favorites in DuPont. One other thing I noticed is that they have a pretty large soft drink and specialty drink selection. So you can get a soda or sake or a beer or whatever you want. Don’t forget to tip though… they really deserve it.

Service is fast and staff are friendly. This use to be one of my coworkers favorite spot so we ate here very often. Because he was a regular and spoke Korean as a group we all benefited. The food was pretty decent as well. The lunch specials are cheap and there are a variety of options to choose from. The dinning area can get a bit crowded if you are with a large group.

I love Happy Teriyaki! I’ve basically tried everything on their menu. Great customer service. & their food portion is a generous amount. My favorite dish is their Yaki Soba, Sushi, Bulgogi, & anything of their chicken. Very juicy & fresh. Reasonable prices. I’ve been coming here about the time they opened. Happy Teriyaki is always busy. Mostly during lunch, & dinner. So it’s better to come in between hours. I also like to leave credit for the cook/chef. Food is very delish & fresh. They also got a beautiful Koi Fish pond by the entrance which they let children feed them(only if you ask.) which is very cool. If you’re in the area, try Happy Teriyaki! You will leave full & satisfied.

The service is quick and the food is fairly good. While the food is nothing to jump up and down over, it is reasonably priced and well portioned. My wife enjoys their sushi and my daughter loves to watch their huge koi in the fish pond. They only have two options for kids meals though: chicken tenders or chicken teriyaki.

Hubby and I came here since it was right by the hotel we were staying at. Lots of choices, but we decided on the classic Chicken Teriyaki with veg and white rice. It was good, don’t get me wrong, but it was just chicken and rice. Nothing spectacular. Quite honestly, I guess I just don’t understand the hype with teriyaki restaurants in this area. It wasn’t a meal I’m going to remember. The inside is outdated, but busy. The staff is crazy busy the entire time they are open with people coming in, ordering takeout, etc. We didn’t have time to sit inside and be waited on, so we ordered to go and sat outside at a nearby Starbucks. Much more quiet and enjoyable than the chaos inside. One thing I will give them… their eggrolls were the bomb! Crispy and delicious! I’d come back, but only for those.

Based on the few items we had so far I’m not impressed. The teriyaki pork seemed to be smothered in gravy and had a lot of fatty pieces, the mixed vegetables were awful(mostly onions and soybeans in a muddy gravy with few overcooked broccoli and zucchini bites, and if you order anything with shrimp they are anything but generous. We did like their Kim chi though.

I am not sure if I have the right to complain, but I will let you be the judge. I went in to ask if I could use the restroom. The older Asian lady was on the phone and I tried to ask using gestures and she just kept walking around. I decided to go in and spent about 60 seconds. When I came out, a younger Asian girl said«Sir, did you just come here to use the bathroom?». I relied, «yes, thank you». She gave me a really bad look, and said I could have asked first. I told her I tried but the older lady was the only one there and could not answer me. She then said that she was there. I was perplexed at the conversation and asked her why she was being so rude to me. She said her bathroom was not for the public and told me I needed to leave the premises. I told her I was leaving and not to worry about it. So, I really don’t know how someone could be so rude. The way she said it was absolutely crazy… I could never eat there.
