Kimberlee, Kayleigh and Jin Mi are all fantastic. Kimberlee cuts and colors my thick, wavy, horrid greying hair and is helping me grow out from a pixie cut… it takes a miracle to get me through the ‘chin length hair’ phase and she’s doing it perfectly! She also does great blonde highlights which help my grey blend so that I don’t have to do all-​over color :) Kayleigh cuts my college son’s hair and has suggested a great new style for him which suits him better than his old haircut. He has thick, wavy hair with a cowlick and is very picky about cuts. Now he only gets it cut when he’s home for a visit. Jin Mi is a brow and lash wizard… if you’ve ever considered lash extensions, she’s the person to go to. She also does great, rash and redness-​free brow and lip waxing. All in all, this is a great salon which also carries fantastic costume jewelry, cute clothing and the Davines haircare line, as well as Living Proof.

Love this salon and the talent inside. Kimberlee has a talent hard to find in the area, she corrected my color and gave me a cut that’s easy to maintain and took the excess weight out of my thick hair. I love this salon. Kaleigh did an awesome job on my long layered hair and gave me a lot of great tips. She was very friendly. The salon itself is beautiful, they keep it nice and clean. And also a lot of cute of jewelry and other things for sale. Will definitely go back :)

I love my new shorter haircut. It took me years to make the cut and Kimberlee encouraged me to go for it and agreed it would look good on me.
I am very happy with the cut it is easy to style yet long enough I can still pull it back.
The salon is clean and stylish.
Some might say it’s spendy, but you get what you pay for.
I have color services also and she really will talk to you and make sure you are getting the color you ask for.
Don’t plan on this being an expedient service.
As my husband says you can get cheap and fast, or slow and good, but you can’t get fast, cheap and good or something like that.
Anyways Kimberlee is well worth the time and money. Plus online scheduling bonus !

I had my hair cut and highlighted by Kimberlee and am really happy with it. She listened carefully to my concerns and the color turned out fantastic. I will definitely be going back.

My son and family are stationed in Tacoma and while visiting a few months back, I needed to get my hair colored and my daughter-​in-​law suggested Kimberlee at Shea Alexander. Well, don’t you know I can’t wait to visit the family but I also get my hair done each visit. Kimberlee is second to none when it comes to hair color. Her products are awesome also. I hope my son and family stay in that area for a while or it will be a really long commute to get my hair done! (I live in California lol!)

I recently moved to the area from the east coast and have been apprehensive about getting my hair done. I was trying to find a local place that had good reviews on Unilocal.I came across Shea Alexander. Kimberlee was awesome and I couldn’t be more happier with my Brazilian Blowout. Here’s what I liked about the salon:
*The salon is owned by Kimberlee and she has worked very hard to make it personable and comfortable. I loved the color dynamics and all of her equipment and furniture.
*This is a local salon located right outside of the base which makes it easy to get to from the DuPont/​Ft Lewis gate.
*Kimberlee is an awesome stylist and great to talk to. The Brazilian Blowout takes a couple of hours to complete the process. However, I felt like I had known Kimberlee forever and the conversation was great.
*I was not double booked. I find that a lot of salons will try to squeeze other people in while you’re getting something done. Mean while you’re worried about whether your hair is getting over processed etc. My appointment was scheduled for 4 and I was the only one in her salon the entire time. This mean that Kimberlee was my dedicated stylists which I very much appreciated.
I highly recommend Shea Alexander for any service. Thanks so much Kimberlee for making my visit to the salon comfortable and friendly.

I loved my visits to this salon! My daughter and I both got haircuts. My daughter has straight but wavy, really thick hair. I tried cutting it because I didn’t want someone to mess it up. That didn’t turn out well. Kimberlee was able to fix it and make her hair look not so heavy. Her hair looked so healthy when Kimberlee was done!
I have natural, very curly hair. I have had so many bad haircut because people don’t know how to cut my hair. Kimberlee gave me one of the best haircuts EVER! I don’t have that triangle look that most curly styles have. There are not missing chunks (this sometimes happens when curls start to curl and some curl more than other). Kimberlee knew how fix and manage all of that.
My second visit was for color. Not only do I have curly hair, but it’s red. Again, not the easiest. One time, at a different salon, I had bright blond almost white streaks in my hair where the «highlights» we’re left to process too long. Kimberlee did an amazing job covering my gray, matching my red and making my hair look healthy and shiny! No one even noticed I had just colored my hair. Which I like, because I wasn’t going for a dramatic change! I have already made my next appointments and you should too!
