I came in with my son and his friend for pizza, wings, and a calzone. I have to say it was very impressive. The wings were cooked perfect and seasoned just right. The pizza slices were delicious. They are also bigger than your head so be warned. The calzone was also impressive. After a while, the owner(Ziad) came out and introduced himself to us. He was a very cool and laid back guy who actually took the time to come and chat with us. Come check this place out for yourself…

I ordered from here a couple of times and found the food adequate. Since I work a ridiculous number of hours a week, I always opted for delivery. One night I placed an online order, and only upon checkout did I see that it was going to take over 90 minutes. I was raining, so fair enough. I immediately called up to cancel my order because I was really hungry and couldn’t wait for almost 2 hours to eat. The guy at DP said he could have it ready for me to pick up in 20 minutes. When I asked where they were located, I discovered it was about 2 miles from my house. I said thanks, but that was a bit too far for me to drive. I had already cracked open a beer after a 12 hour day, so driving was not going to happen. He snapped at me, and said, «oh it’s too far for you to drive but not too far for us?» And then he was just silent. I was so shocked at how rude and ridiculous this was, so I just hung up. You know what my job isn’t? Delivering food. When I get home from work, sometimes I want to order delivery — and I pay for the service and I tip well. Clearly these guys either misunderstand what their job entails, or they simply think that they’re doing you a favor by providing you with the food and service that you’ve paid for. Since the service doesn’t even get 1 star and the food is essentially forgettable, you’re better off going elsewhere.

Haven’t eaten in their location yet, but have ordered delivery a number of times! I love their White Pizza and their Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Their Buffalo Chicken pizza is better than any i’ve had before, because their buffalo sauce is legit, they put a ton of it on, and the chicken isn’t fake and rubbery like most places. The White Pizza was way better than I expected, very Ricotta but nicely balanced, the crust is delicious. I’ve tried their wings and they were way better than I expected for a pizza place! Also I recommend their garlic knots(just not the dipping marinara with them). Their only weakness is their marinara, but since I only get specialty pizzas it us not a problem for me! I love them! They are a bit pricey but that tends to be more of an issue for me specifically, just because I can’t ever to commit to ordering just one of their pizzas!

One word: WINGS!!! Best I have had in Durham. Coming from NY I am very critical of wings, but every time I have come, everyone is so polite and they keep checking in to make sure everything is to your satisfaction. The wings are always FRESH and HOT! There are a ton of sauces to try so there is something for everyone. This place is a must try if you are in the area.

The best place I’ve been to since I moved here the the Carolinas in 99′ baby. The pizza is true New York style and its crust is perfection and the sauce bro speechless. I truly love the place and the people. Real honest and true

RUDE! I called to make a delivery order, I’m staying at a hotel about 3 miles away, ordered wings fries and a green tea… I asked the guy taking my order if they accepted AmEx and didn’t hear anything but background noise so I said hello again and assumed that I’d been placed on hold, after a minute the call was disconnected so I called right back. I asked the cashier what happened«I didn’t hear anything so I hung up» no hello ma’am are you there or anything just hung up… maybe my order was too small… who knows… Anywhoo, I asked him to take the tea off and before I could get to ask what else was offered I get«well I’m doing you a favor because with your order and the delivery charge you don’t even meet outer minimum» His tone, his poor customer service, and my not wanting myself or the 3 other ladies that travelled with me to put up with that treatment caused them to miss out on about an 80 dollar order not even including tip. I ordered from another wing place and on my next trip, this establishment won’t be on the radar.

Overly greasy — the pizza sauce is good. We’ve ordered a few times from here and it’s been«meh» and below.

Above average pizza for NC but that isn’t saying much. A bit pricey too. I would have given this place 4 stars but a pickup order that I was told would be 15 – 20 minutes for 2 pies and a pasta dish took about 45 – 50.

Not bad at all. Pizza places in Durham are definitely not top notch, and well, why should they be?.. it’s North Carolina lol. In any case, I was craving some basic Chicken Parm badly. and happened upon Devil’s. I decided to take a gamble and ordered. The gentlemen who took my order was pleasant, even taking the extra time to confirm how long it would take me to arrive, so that he could make sure the dish was hot when I arrived for pick up. I definitely appreciated that. Parking and pick up was easy. As promised, rhe dish was piping hot upon retrieval, even retaining some of that heat after the 25 min ride home. The dish was solid. It was probably a frozen pre-breaded chicken breast, but it was good nonetheless. If anything, I would have liked more sauce for the spaghetti and enough cheese to cover all of the chicken. It was good enough that I’d order it again though, and at $ 9 it was a good value.

My favorite spot in Durham. It my be advertised as a pizzeria but my favorite foods are the subs and strombolis. I haven’t found one thing on the menu that I don’t like. We always get great service but at peak times it can be very busy. If you are doing a large order or walking in at lunch be prepared to wait. It’s busy for a reason.

The food is usually not bad. Pizza is ok, and I like their sandwiches. This past Friday however, I placed an order for delivery and waited almost 4 hours. I gave up and cancelled it at that point. I tried calling the restaurant many many times. It wad either busy or went straight to voicemail. I get that sometimes places get busy, but 4 hours and no communication?

Devils is a great spot for lunch or dinner! They won’t blow you away with any fancy décor, but they will make you chuckle with a few of their signs. Best buffalo wings in town! Their pasta is also great!

Recently moved down from NJ hoping to find a good pizza place. Being used to the best NY/NJ pizza, I thought it would be tough to find. Devils pizza is a hidden gem and has excellent pizza and the owners are super friendly. I highly recommend coming here if you are looking for good quality pizza — huge slices! I will keep coming back!

I ordered a slice of pizza with pineapple and ham and waited more than half an hour, which is fine, except then you really need the pizza to taste amazing. It has a thin crust(but not floppy at all, which is impressive), not a lot of sauce and a decent amount of cheese. So if I’d gotten just a plain cheese pizza I’d be happy. The main problems I had were a) they used canned pineapple instead of real pineapple and b) they didn’t bake the pineapple with the pizza and instead sprinkled it on top after the pizza was done. My friends also had their toppings placed on top after it was done. I get that it’s hard to bake a pizza with slices containing different toppings but it defeats the purpose of adding toppings if I could just go buy some canned pineapple from the Harris Teeter across the street and dump it on my pizza. The cashier was also kind of rude and didn’t tell me that I couldn’t order a cup of water — I unknowingly paid for a bottle. Also, the pizza slices are giant but I wasn’t quite full after I finished.

Arguably better wings(and def better prices) than heavenly Buffaloes. Owner is great, wings are great, pizza is great and Alfredo is great. Salad is standard. Place smells like grease so sit outside or get takeout.

Authentic northeast style pizza and sandwiches. They do the bread right, I didn’t even know that was possible south of the Mason-Dixon. Outstanding.

We’re from Houston and like to try independent pizza places. Devil’s did not disappoint. The weather was beautiful so we ate outside. Both my husband and I had house salads. Devil’s has top-notch house dressing, which is a light lemony vinegarette. I had a slice of pepperoni pizza, which was so big I couldn’t eat it all! Nice, crispy crust with piping hot cheese and sauce. My husband had stromboli and commented how crispy the crust was. The owner was quite friendly and service was great.

I live close to this place and since relocating from San Dieigo, We’ve tried the giant pizza, a reg pizza, a calzone, Stromboli and the stuffed pizza, all with my go to ingredients(spinach, garlic, pepperoni and pineapple). This pizza is DELISH! When we ordered the giant pizza with friends over, they absolutely loved it too! They’re always super nice whether delivering or us picking it up. In fact when I first moved here, I ordered a calzone with no ricotta(I am always adamant about this, I very much dislike ricotta). They were too funny, the guy let us know that we basically ordered a Stromboli and to try it next time, and that it’s also bigger! No pizza place had ever told me that! So we did and boy was it NOM! We’ve also tried the wings and the jalapeño poppers(yellow cheese not white), both delish as well! This place is great, highly recommended!

I love this place and order food from them every 1 – 2 weeks without fail. They make a very good NY style pizza. Two slices is the equivalent of half a large traditional pizza. Definitely filling. Given the variety on the menu, the food is consistently good. Pasta, strombolis, calzones, wings, you name it. Their assortment of bottled drinks is one of the best in the city. The owner is personable, loves to joke around, but runs a tight ship to ensure his customers get what they ordered and more.

I love pizza with a passion and it’s hard for me to not finish a whole pie when placed in front of me. Unfortunately this was one of the worst pepperoni pizzas I’ve ever had. The sauce lacked any taste, the cheese was plain and the crust had nothing to boast about. The only positive thing to say is that they were open til 11pm on a weeknight. But never again will I order pizza from this place.

By far the best place around! My husband and I love this place so much, that we came in on our anniversary for pizza and wings. Everything I’ve eaten here has been delicious. The service is always great, and they know how to make you feel at home. I can’t wait to go back!

The food here is the greatest! Fresh and plentiful! I have many places to choose from on ninth street and near but I and my coworkers keep going back to Devil’s Pizzeria. Customer services is always on point with friendly caring people. If your desire is good food with great taste delivered by good people, go here… you cannot miss. Also, try the Boylan’s soda… absolutely a treat!

This is one of my all time favorite spots in Durham! Since moving to the Triangle area in 2007 I hadn’t found a pizza/sub shop quite like the one in my hometown, however, in 2011 a Groupon deal led me to this hidden gem. I love their subs, Strombolis, calzones and Chicken Alfredo. They also have a wide variety of chicken wing flavors, it’s best to check those out on Thursday’s 50 cent wing night! Devil’s has a great selection of desserts too, the limoncello and chocolate covered cannoli are amazing!

I will forever be in their debt as Devil’s Pizzeria was the only eatery on 9th street open during the recent snowpocolypse. I consider myself somewhat of a pizza connoisseur, and I find their pizza quite good for what it is(a casual pizzeria). You definitely won’t be disappointed. A word of advice: If you wander in just to get something to eat, get a slice rather than a full pie because you will have to wait at least 20 – 30 minutes depending on how busy they are. If you do want to order a full pie, definitely call ahead so you won’t be waiting.

Well where should I start?! The roomie and I had pizza on our brains all day, especially after our 7 mile hike in the snow. We stopped in hoping for pizza for lunch but the power outages prevented is from using our debit/credit cards and neither of us had cash, so after grabbing a menu, the decision was made that we had to have pizza for dinner! There was a decent crowd and the phone was ringing off the hook. We placed our order-a large cheese and pepperoni pizza and a Greek salad and the plan was we would walk down the block have a beer, return for our pizza and head home. Our night didn’t quite play out that way. The guy that took our order was feisty and outspoken. My roommate walked back to the pizza place to check on the status of our pie and it wasn’t done, so after our second drink, the second we walked thru the door our order was being handed over to is without even having to ask for it! I was starving so we took a seat and drove right on in! I was starving and 4 pieces of pizza later… we didn’t even open the salad. As we sat there eating, we sang along to the music and we were provided a complementary salad. Through conversation, we learned the name of the staff person who we placed our order-seems like a great hard working guy! I was very much impressed w the food and the friendliness of the staff! Keep up the great work! I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I think it cost me about $ 7 or 8 to get two slices(of sausage) but these two slices were probably equal to about half of a ‘large’ pizza. Pizzas were thin, NY-style(I think?), but super hot since they were just pulled out of the oven. The pizza tasted(to a starving Kevin) great. The sausages on my pizza were pretty good too. My friend and I ended up having to wait for about 15−20mins(DYING of hunger) while they made the pizza. Not bad, solid place. Will definitely come here again on a whim!
