While the staff was very helpful and courteous, the HGTV paint is awful! It is requiring two coats to cover the old paint and the smell is among the worst I’ve encountered. The only paint worth buying here is the oil based exterior paint or the most costly indoor paint. My latex interior paint from True Value covered better with less smell and a lower price. If you must buy paint here, ask when their next sale will be to get 40 to 50% off.

I thought that I loved to paint… until I tried to find the perfect color paint for a particular project. I searched all over the Santa Rosa area looking for just the right color and was beginning to think that the only thing worse than the perfect color was the paint store. Until I found the Sherwin Williams on SR Ave! The Seans (yes, there were 2 of them) were so NICE! The employees were actually HELPFUL to their customers! They were pleasant to work with, answered my questions and helped me find the right products for my job. By far and away the best of the 8 various paint stores that I visited in in SR! I will buy paint from them again as their customer service was terrific.
