Small cozy breakfast spot. Fast service, great food. Don’t let the fact that it’s in a strip mall stop you from checking it out. I ordered the bayou skillet and blueberry maple French toast. The skillet was awesome, it can be a lunch or breakfast. Never thought of putting shrimp and eggs together, it was a great combo!

Just updating since they DO accept credit cards now. Food is always fresh & obviously from scratch. Keep up the good work!

The best place for breakfast in NWI! Everything is so fresh and so clean! I have been there many times and my meal has been great every time. The burrito is great a long with the breakfast sandwiches! I have also tried the specials and have never been disappointed. I have also had their lunch with is good but not as good as their breakfast(that may be biased). Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a filling reasonable breakfast in NWI!

This is my favorite place to go for something different for breakfast. It is not your typical breakfast place. Everything is special and has a distinct flair you won’t find elsewhere. Good luck getting in though, as this is the most crowded breakfast place I’ve seen in the region. You can also call ahead and have your breakfast ready for pickup, which is in my opinion the best aspect. Without a doubt, a place you must try if you haven’t been here before.

Delicious! Service is excellent. Super busy place, so you should always expect a wait. But worth it!

Since the scrambled opened I’ve had their number on my speed dial. Homemade jelly to catsup. Their efforts and creative breakfast and lunches has served me and my family for at least 1 a week.(At times more). I am proud to be able to tell those visiting Dyer that this is a must stop for quality eats.

This place NEVER fails! Had the orchard omelet which sounded like an odd combination and it was delicious. Split a cinnamon roll and an order of sausage — Amazing. Monkey cakes are unreal and luckily my son gets them every time so I can have a few bites of his.

Service not the best even though more than enough staff Food to greasy no matter which plate you order. They also include on your plate what ever is burnt to a crisp on the grill.

Okay, I gotta write a review for this place: While small(they’re bursting at the seams) and often have long waiting periods, they are well worth it! They have a one-sided menu which turned me off at first… until I got my food. Holy sweet manna from heaven, this place makes my happiness ticker swell to heights I’d never known possible! TRYTHEMONKEYCAKESATLEASTONCE!!! Fluffy pancakes topped with banana slices, real, thick bacon, peanut butter sauce, chocolate syrup, and sides of their house-made butter and syrup. The English muffins are WAY better than Thomas brand, and they serve them with house-made butter and raspberry spread which is too thick to be syrup but too thin to be jam. Bursting with flavor and seeds, this stuff rocks my socks! Oh, and don’t get me started on the skillets! Just… don’t… Suffice to say they are, like, I can’t find the words for how good they are. Way too much food, so you will have some for later! Then when all is said and done, you look up from your sleepy, food-induced coma to see above the breakfast bar a giant blackboard sign with daily specials and you think, «Why, oh why, why didn’t I get one of thooooose??!» I’ve as yet never remembered to order any of the specials. Scrambled should get Four Stars for the wait and small establishment lending for a slightly crowded feel, but the food begs to differ and will eliminate and grudge you have at having waited to be seated.

Really good food. I generally have omelets. Their sausage patties are home made and very rich. This place is gaining popularity.

My husband and I used to live in NWI and we both desperately miss this place. I always got the farmer vegetable skillet with goat cheese. I seriously still have dreams about it! My husband always got the pancakes or French toast and loved it. Their lunch is great as well. My husband loved their burger and fries. I also tried the creole omelet and buffalo shrimp skillet and it was great, but VERY spicy. Thankfully I love heat and spice, but I can see it being too much for people. The only thing I ever got that I didn’t really care for was the blackened veggie skillet. When they said blackened they meant burnt to a crisp! I like a burnt/charcoal taste, but it was a bit much. After a few bites I was done. All in all, this place is great! I always left way fuller than I needed to be haha. My only complaint is(and this may have changed since I was there last) they are way too small of a place for their clientele! My mom came in from out of town once and we waited nearly 1.5 for a seat. My husband and I are making a trip back to NWI in a few weeks and plan on making a stop here.

Needs to be featured on the food Chanel! This place NEVER disappoints! The pancakes are exquisite! I preferably favor the skillets. My family has made this a regular stop for us since we live in the area. Every Saturday or every other Saturday. Sometimes there is a wait, but it’s always worth it. I highly suggest it!

For those who like a barbecue in the morning you can enjoy the Barbecue Skillet. The sauce has a nice peppery bite to it which goes well with the pork. As for the pulled pork sandwich… it totally rocks especially with the homemade coleslaw!

Do yourself a favor and eat here! Sooo good. Kind of a southwestern meets Cajun meets breakfast. I had the scrambled skillet… big sauce age patties, creamy cheese, perfect fluffy eggs. Hubby had the breakfast burrito and loved the chorizo sauce age in it. HUGE portions so come hungry snd leave full. Such a great find!!!

Honestly, this was the best breakfast we have had in Northwest Indiana. It is always a treat to be able to go out with our young son and enjoy breakfast. We decided on The Scrambled Diner and we were not disappointed. My wife got the breakfast burrito and I ordered a skillet. Both were fantastic and cooked perfectly. They were very accommodating to my son. The place is kind of small and is located in a strip mall but that doesn’t influence my rating at all. We will definitely go back, and more than once.

Florentine wrap… literally the best breakfast wrap I’ve ever had. Each bite was perfect. The richness of the bacon was complimented by crispy hash browns, tomatoes, spinach, scrambled eggs, and just the right amount of goat cheese, not too much to overpower the wrap, just enough to add creaminess and a slight tartness. But what sends this wrap over the top is the caramelized onions. I requested both the homemade ketchup and hot sauce. Both were delicious but I felt the hot sauce complimented the flavors of the wrap better. I plan on ordering some of the hot sauce online. It’s that good! I highly recommend trying this wrap. The reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 is because my husband didn’t like the pancakes. Mind you, he is a pancake snob. Having said that, he was very disappointed. His pancakes were dense and crumbly. He did enjoy the syrup but commented that a breakfast staple like pancakes should hold it’s own when accompanying a menu full of culinary power-houses.

Only been once so far but definitely going back. It’s been a long time since I found a good breakfast place and they have good lunch items too. Check the board for the specials because they are not on the menu. My daughter had the brunch burger, she loved it. I tried the lobster roll. I’ve only seen them on tv and the bun made the sandwich. I want to try several things on the menu, can’t wait to go back. I’m going to leave it at 4 stars until I go back a couple times. Small place so u might have a wait but it’s worth it.
