I love Big Lots because of their funky selection. I never know what I’ll find when I visit.
They are a pretty good source for crackers that reasonable prices. They also have a diverse supply of Keurig pods that don’t cost an arm and a leg.
Big Lots is also a good source for home stuff like bedding and housewares.
You can sign up for their rewards program which will get you coupons and sales that help to save even more money. Also, the staff is usually pretty helpful and are long suffering.

Found a great chaise lounger here that was the same as the one at Ashley furniture, waited for a sale and coupon and scored well. Also did the same thing with a couch, it is a Simmons couch, got a smoking deal. You can find very good deals here if you keep your eyes open. We bought our patio set here too and have had no problems. I will continue to watch for great scores here.

They have a good selection of nonperishable food items. They have Snyder’s pretzels, V8, and other random food at good prices. Much to my surprise, they carry some organic and natural foods, including Cascadian Farms and Kashi cereal.
I suspect that they could pay their employees more, as one cashier commented to me that she works two jobs. Also, one of the employees, who I think is a supervisor or manager, once rolled her eyes at me when I told her that I had brought my own bag. There have been two occasions on which I have purchased rotten food, but the vast majority of the time this has not been the case.

First time I have walked into a Big Lots! A friend of mine told me they had some Guitar Hero band sets, but when I walked in and asked they said they typically only have them around Christmas. But time wasn’t wasted as I needed a shower curtain liner which was ½ price than I would pay elsewhere.
Near the shower curtains they had a Dyson DC33 vacuum for only $ 199 (as of 5−12−13) which retails for $ 400. I had recently just bought one for retail so I wish I would have known they had vacuums for such a great price.
Similar to a «Tuesday Morning» but has a much larger variety of toys, appliances, electronics and home goods. I might browse their website next time I need something to compare prices, but its a bit of a drive for me in order to save, so it would have to be worth it.
I put it at an average 3 stars as its close to a dollar store and not a place I would just venture in to and peruse.
