Best selection in the Boise area whether your looking for a nice Pinot Noir, German Riesling or an inexpensive bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. If your not sure what you want, the owner/main employee always makes a great suggestion, just ask.

This place is legit. Can you use the word«legit» for a wine store, and not have it be considered ironic in a «Bro, that wine store was legit» sort of way? I digress. Great selection, small business, *very* reasonable prices, and a guy who helped me track down an obscure wine that my wife bought there one time. I was using only grunts and hand gestures, and we managed. Seriously. I had a great experience walking in and talking to the guy at the counter(one of the owners?), and left very excited to come back. It’s nice when you visit a store of any sort and are left with the impression that«they get it.» I like wine, but I’m not a Sommelier, so it’s nice that he could talk to me about as much wine as I could handle, then let me leave with my fragile ego intact. Check out Erickson’s — you won’t be disappointed.

Nice selection of wines domestic and imported in prices ranging from $ 9.99 to $ 199.99 /750ML bottle(and magnums priced above that) with options for all people from newbie wine drinker to oneophile and to fill the bill for«school night vino» to an exceptional bottle for the most special of occasions. Modest sized shop with selections arranged in a way that is organized but just enough casual to make one feel as if «treasure hunt» is part of the mix, which is always fun when shopping for wine. Shelves have wines organized by varietal and/or region. Stacks are featured wines under $ 12. Bins are featured wines over $ 12. Our first visit in was ‘thumbs up’ and we will be back. Open Monday through Saturday from 10a to 7p and owner Brian Ericson is in the house all of those days but one(Tuesdays maybe) to answer questions and provide direction. We appreciated that he let us browse but also was eager to offer good advice when we asked. Brian told us he offers a 10% discount on six or more bottles, a 15% discount on full case — same wine purchases and a refund if you purchase something he recommends and don’t like it or need to return a corked(bad) bottle of wine. We thought the latter two were particularly gracious of him and we did business with a wine seller in Portland who ffered the same. Not that we ever took them up on either policy… We left with three wines, a Ripasso($ 18.49), a Nero d’Avola($ 14.49), and a Walla Walla blend called Buzz($ 17.99) from Yellowjacket Vineyards purchased in honor of the upcoming National Honey Bee day on August 16. One can find a wine drinking occasion to which to toast for any reason! Cin-Cin! THIS N THAT: 1) LOCATION: Don’t be dissuaded by the location in one of Eagle’s pedestrian unfriendly, non descript strip mall /«business parks» with next door neighbor of nail salon. 2) PARKING: Private lot has ample parking. 3) ACCESSIBILITY: Only one accessible(aka ADA) parking spot in the entire lot and it is around the corner from the main entrance of this shop. Wine shop is level in and throughout with adequate space in aisleways. 4) BREATHE: Breathing deeply is one of the best relaxation techniques«they» say. Do that as you enter here because the shop aroma is wonderful eau du wine cellar.

Extremely knowledgeable and priced fairly. A place to find special wines that many other wine retailers can’t get. I have shopped there many years and Brian has guided me through the sometime confusing world of wine.
