the sugar cookies were very, very good! Nice and crunchy, not too thick. Perfection. They were also super cute. From Star Wars theme to princess dresses, you’re covered if you need to find a fun and special Cookie. I also tried the cinnamon roll, the raspberry Danish, and pecan sandies-​they were all great! The cinnamon roll could easily fees two! I will be back!

I have used Piece A Cake for a few different parties. They are always amazing. They really did an fantastic job on my son’s cakes. Even better than the design was the taste of the cake. You usually sacrifice flavor for the level of decorating they did and that did not happen! I will use them for every party I have.

Took little sibs this weekend and they were happy with the donuts– not a ton of donut variety, but what they have is good. Brownie and cookies were great according to my brother and sister– I had a sweet roll– caramel type glaze and pecans– and it was awesome! Very tight space so we ate at a bench nearby, and I wish I could go on Sunday’s, but otherwise we loved it! Thanks for the sweets!

Amazing. I had Diane bake my wedding cake and was in love with it. She is so talented and took two of the cakes I wanted and made it into one. It was also delicious! Cream cheese frosting was amazing… Wish I could have wedding cake all the time. (:

This bakery has the best of the best. The selection of walk in goodies is awesome! I ordered 40 cup cakes for a shower via e-​mail, I sent a picture and they were adorable! Then we bought some Chocolate Banana walnut bread and they suggested French toast with it. Uh… delicious!

I am very pleased with the service at this bakery. I called an order in for a custom cake very short notice and the lady was so nice to do it for me. I asked for a cake with the Bud Light. It was awesome and the recipient just loved it..

We ordered custom cookies last minute for our business and they had the entire order ready in less then 24 hours! Absolutely wonderful people!!! The cookies were great too!!!

If you can get past the crusty owner (pun intended), you must give this place a try. Had them make an anniversary cake for my inlaws 40^th and they did a great job. It was in the shape of a Silver Oaks wine bottle and they duplicated the label flawlessly. It was delicious as well and I don’t like cake.

When we lived out that way we bought all of our special occasion cakes from there. A few years ago we moved to downtown Chicago and after trying many bakeries still have not found one that compares. Either the cake was blah or the frosting didn’t measure up. We just had a special event and arranged the logistics to have someone bring a cake down to us (45 miles or so). Outstanding job as usual
If you live anywhere near Dundee, consider yourself fortunate. If you are going to splurge for dessert calories, this is the place to do it.

Went here based on other reviews and I’m glad I did! I ordered custom cookies for favors for my daughter’s baptism. Everyone said they were really yummy, not to mention super cute. When I stopped in to order the cookies and to pick them up I bought some cinnamon rolls and Danishes– both excellent. Staff really friendly. Actual store could use some upgrading, but the way it is kind of adds to the small town feel of West Dundee.
One negative– there are steps to get into the store, so wheelchair and stroller access is bad.

I stopped on my way before work and picked up some amazing St. Patrick’s Day brownies. They were stuffed with a mint cookie. My husband ate 2 in a matter of minutes and asked for more. I also purchased a pecan coffee cake to take to work. It was so fresh and the topping was fantastic. I will be going back to this bakery and would recommend it to others.

Last minute, I called them on a Friday, needing custom cookies for a party the next day. I called, and before even asking what kind of cookies I needed, they told me next day wouldn’t be an issue. I was thrilled. Ordered two dozen «volleyball» cookies for a dozen 7^th grade girls volleyball players. Even though this was incredibly last minute, and other bakery’s turned me away due to the last minute nature of my request, they charged what I believe to be in incredibly fair/​good price. No upcharge for the rush either, just their normal $ 1.25 per cookie fee, and these aren’t small cookies either, 5 – 6″ in diameter! They looked great and were ready early! I was in a rush the day of the party and stopped by almost an hour early and sure enough, they were done! The girls LOVED them, and they tasted great! I absolutely will be coming here more in the future and would recommend them to anyone in need.

I have gone here now about 5 times and each time they get it right and everything tastes great. This last time I had some custom cookies done up as a bridal shower favor for a friend. I brought along a picture of what I wanted and they matched it perfectly. The cookies tasted great too. I also like to support local businesses especially in Dundee.

Although the cake we ordered tasted good, we were not impressed with the custom design or $ 75 for a small round cake to feed up to 20 people. This is the second time we have used them for a special event and will most likely be the last.

They are just amazing! The cakes look great and taste great. The cakes are always ready as soon as you walk in. Diane always exceeds my expectations.
The reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 is, the price seems to steadily climb each time (i know it varies by what I want). I have been a dedicated customer, ordering birthdays, baby shower, and bridal shower cakes. Each time the price just seem to climb slowly. Definitely not the priciest compared to others

LOVE this bakery! My older sister has been getting my nephews birthday cakes from here for a couple years now & they are just unbelievable!

Then my younger sis got engaged & was having a beach-​themed engagement party so I wanted to get her a cute cake with a pic of the engaged couple at the beach, or with palm trees, ya know something to fit the theme.& although it was days before the party at this point so I doubted they could do anything for me, my sister suggested I try Piece-​A-​Cake.
I walked in & although they were pretty busy, they were still very friendly and welcoming. A lady rushed over as soon as she got a quick sec & I told her what I was looking for. she went in the back to talk to the main baker/​chef & they got so excited talking about how they’d be able to use white chocolate seashells to decorate around 2 different pictures of the engaged couple. It sounded great to me. I knew whatever they could do, if anything, in that short of time would still look & taste better than anything from Jewel or Sam’s club. A professional cake, still at a great price and done in record time! Oh yea, & it tasted fantastic! It was much better than I imagined.
Of course they’d prefer customers give them more time than just a couple days. I believe my sister orders my nephews bday cakes a few weeks to maybe even a month in advance.
I would highly recommend Piece-​a-​Cake to anyone.

I love P.A.C. for five reasons: 1. Service is fantastic 2. They have sugar-​free items for diabetics and those watching their intake (great for church functions!) 3. They have gluten-​free brownies for my hubs who cannot eat wheat. 4. Their buttercream beats anyone locally hands down, and 5. Their sticky buns and cinnamon rolls are MASSIVE and fresh — no need to nuke to regain freshness.
One drawback… I wish they had a website for photos, ideas, product listings and general information. (btw, if you’re reading this, my husband designs them — from simple to extravagant) Even having pricing for the different sizes of sheet cakes would be good on a website.
The best thing? I commute with a friend to work and they are OPEN before 7 a.m. Perfect for work breakfast pick-​up or even for the bikers (which I see often sitting outside their door!) on the trail. Oh, coffee cakes, too.
I truly hope they stay around a long time and personally, I’d love to work part-​time for them on the weekends! :)
(BTW, their prices are very average and acceptable. My sheet cake for 30 people was 35.00 plus tax. Pecan bun is 1.75 ish)

I am so glad to have them back in the area! They make some of the best pastries and cookies in the area. Their cakes are beautiful and taste great, too!

A vendor had purchased a cake from here and brought it by my work. It was actually for another department, but somehow a piece landed on my desk! (Funny how that happens, huh? I love coworkers who corrupt me.) I have to say, I find many bakery’s cake to be dry and so-​so, but this was the most delicious dessert I had ever tasted! I live pretty far from Dundee, so I’m trying to think of ways I can try more of their baked goodness. I will have to research whether or not they deliver. Perhaps we can use them for some type of work event; perhaps the quantity ordered will be worth it for them to deliver! Christmas cookies anyone?

Mediocre, at best. So much so that it leaves me with few words to say about the my experience.
Overall, ok food, ok service and ok prices. Nothing about PACB really stood out to me that I’m moved to write a gushing review.
