If I could give zero stars, I would. I was stranded at LaGuardia airport on a connecting flight, and looked for a cheap room for the night. I booked through priceline and immediately called the hotel for a shuttle but was told the hotel was overbooked and that they did not have a room available for me. I was told by the front desk staff that my payment would be refunded. However, after 6 weeks of back and forth between me, the hotel, and priceline, I finally received a refund from priceline, but not from the hotel. The hotel claims that I checked in and stayed at the hotel, even though I actually spent the night ONTHEFLOOROFLAGUARDIATERMINAL B because by the time I got off the phone, all the other hotels in the area were booked. I’ve called over a dozen times and each time am told the general manager«Mofuz» is unavailable, is the only person who can authorize refunds, and will call me back immediately. Priceline staff received the same response. This is a shady hotel operation to say the least, and I would not recommend doing business with them.

Lets be honest, most people in Elmhurst don’t care to begin with, or cared once for a brief moment and have long since given up. To their credit, the management here tries, but it has been proven throughout the ages that one cannot divine gold from lead. We were forced to stay here on Christmas Eve due to a snafu with our new lease/move-in date. We were not familiar with the area, and this being the only hotel in the Queens area willing to accept pets, we were left with little choice. I repeat– they TRY. The Christmas decorations in the tiny«lobby» area were reminiscent of an 1800s orphanage, but we were greeted warmly and wished a Merry Christmas. The room is slightly better than one might find in aforementioned orphanage, but certainly above average for the area. While my wife performed a cursory search for bedbugs(which I would have sworn she’d find), I ventured out to procure food and performed a precursory scan of the parking lot for car thieves and prostitutes. Sadly, the finest restaurant in the immediate area was McDonalds, which came as little surprise. I was relieved, however, not to have to get out of my car. Overall, don’t stay here unless you are stranded at LaGuardia for days or find yourself temporarily homeless in Queens with a wife and a pet. It’s not a destination for those with conventional standards and expectations. That said, you could certainly do worse. But in Elmhurst, that is really no challenge…

If all you want is a bed near the airport, then that’s what you’ll get. The air is dusty in the room, although that’s probably from construction(Aug 2011). It just feels stifling. Not a particularly relaxing place to spend a night. They were nice about calling a cab the next morning, but what showed up was actually a towncar.

For the price and location, this place is a steal. If you’re looking for a resort this is not it but if you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay that’s very close to Manhattan(without the expensive Manhattan hotel prices) then this is the place. The check-in was super quick and I could tell the place had just been remodeled. The room had a large flat screen TV and a comfy duvet cover. There is a really yummy Italian restaurant next door to the hotel, free parking at hotel!!, and free wi-fi. The hotel is located SO close to Manhattan, Citi Field, Bronx Zoo. It’s really easy to get anywhere you need to go from this location. Also, the hotel has a free airport shuttle that will take you to and from La Guardia. I was happy with my stay. Those Manhattan hotels are just TOO expensive. This place was great for my trip.
