Visiting while on business and Irish Coffee was recommended by the company I was visiting. I must say I was pleased and thankful for the recommendation. Potato soup was great as was the shepherds pie. All was very hot and washed down with a Harp beer. Treat yourself and you won’t be disappointed.

We had a rehearsal dinner with approximately 20 people. They were great from the minute we walked in until the minute we walked out after our party. Our servers Katie and Patrick were top notch! The food was outstanding! My guests are still raving about it. Class act throughout. This will absolutely be the first of MANY parties we will have here

I really took a day to think this out before writing because I like this place but… If you are planning to cater an event here… I would ask you strongly reconsider. The service will be sub par and your event will be minimally staffed. I.e.: One bartender for 150 people. Kids who wait the tables have no idea how to serve. Manager had to step in to serve on buffet line that was still faster than the line with 2 extra people serving. Lastly, our table was«forgotten» for dessert and when staff was reminded, they brought dessert for another table!!! Worse part was when I asked them how Mr Mahood would feel about this, they didn’t know who he was or just didn’t care cause they just hung out in the back room by the terrace joking around. So, even as a resident of the town, I can’t recommend this venue for anyone. Addendum: Don’t get me wrong, staff is super nice and bartender is very professional and makes a great drink but when guests have difficulty getting food or drinks, there is a problem. I can afford to miss out on dessert but I don’t like feeling neglected.

As I have mentioned in previous reviews, there are certain Long Island culinary landmarks that everyone must experience and this is definitely one of them. The Irish Coffee Pub serves a wide variety of well executed food with professional service at a reasonable price in a very cozy yet classy setting. The only problem I have is the with the name: it is very deceiving because it is way more than a pub and does not specialize in coffee. Their menu is a nice mix of traditional Irish/English classics, seafood, steaks, sandwiches, burgers, salads and daily specials. I’ve been here more than five times and have never had a bad meal. We dined here recently with a party of six. I ordered the grilled salmon salad for lunch. For $ 15 I received a very large piece of PERFECTLY grilled and seasoned salmon served on top of a bed of mixed greens and sliced tomatoes. I am reluctant to order salmon at most restaurants because it is always overcooked, however the chef made me the best cooked piece of salmon I have ever eaten with nice char marks on the outside that was moist and medium rare in the center. I wanted to run into the kitchen and hug him after the meal! My only complaint was with the server. When we first arrived I realized that I didn’t have any cash, so I asked her if she could give me a separate check so I could pay for it on my credit card. She assured me that this was not a problem. When the bill arrived, she unapologetically told me that she could not give me a separate check without offering a reason or explanation. This was very embarrassing because I had to tell my friends that I didn’t have cash and had to borrow money to pay for the meal. Irish Coffee Pub also has several beautiful banquet rooms that can accommodate anywhere from 15 to over 100 people. I attended a wedding here and the food and service were amazing. You should definitely consider this place if you are having a special event. It is also recommended for brunch, happy hour and holidays.

Feels like your stepping into your grandma’s home. Restaurant oddly set up with a bunch of different small, dark rooms. Food was extremely over priced and tasted average. The waiter charged us for a beer which we didn’t even order. Wouldn’t go out of my way to go back there again.

The BEST Prime Rib!!! A great wine selection. A great atmosphere(besides being stuck in the middle of the room) Good service. The BEST potatoe soup! I’ve been here a few times and was never disappointed. I was there for Easter. I would have gave it five stars but I didn’t because of the following: –Boxed/fake potatoes –Seated in the middle of the room in front of the fireplace. I felt like the center of attention. Yes, it was Easter and the place was full. I’m sure they would have accommodated me if I asked to move my seating. However, HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!!!

We’ve been coming here every St. Patrick’s Day for the past 6 years and every year, we have a blast! Our group is usually 10 – 16 people strong and we are always accommodated. The service is outstanding! Very attentive and are always laughing and joking right along with our obnoxious bunch! The food is fantastic! I have never ordered anything I didn’t love! The potato soup is my absolute favorite thing on the menu! Try it, it’s famous for a reason! Thank you, Irish Coffee Pub for putting up with our loud, drunk asses for 3+ hours every year! Cheers!

Had dinner here the other night, food and service was amazing. Fron the moment you walk in you are greeted making you feel welcome and at home. My mom had the chicken cordon blue, which was nice and crispy on the outside and moist to perfection on the inside. My sister went for the shrimp guiness, shrimps are huge and delicious! Portions are pretty big, … Had a very nice time. I had the tiki pasta, it was really nice, pasta was made to perfection and chicken was nice and grilled. Had a wonderful time… Will be back soon.

Irish Coffee Pub recently catered one of my children’s T-Ball dinners. Food and service was good however Michelle Obama would not agree with their choice of dishes. We were served pasta and potatoes… both of which originate from the same Solanum tuberous genius. In addition i also had some veggies to balance out my diet along with some ice cream and a brownie for dessert. However, the soda was all flat and when i asked a caterer about it he said it was a child’s party so they didn’t bring out the bar… tsk tsk. Half of the waitstaff was very attentive and stayed busy clearing my table although I saw the other half doing BACKFLIPS thinking no-one could see them. Overall I had a wonderful experience and would recommend this to other parents looking for a good spot for a T-Ball dinner.

No no, no no no. Say no to the food here. Have food establishments forgotten how to season food this far from the city? Or how to cook pasta properly? El dente doesn’t mean undercooked, which was what I was told when I said my pasta was undercooked. I was taught how to cook by an Italian grandmother, from Italy, so I know a thing or two about Italian food. Don’t tell me my pasta is el dente when it’s crunchy in the middle. The steak tasted old, and the mushroom balsamic reduction was straight up vinegar. That has to be reduced and some sort of flavor added to balance it. We left and went to hullihans and had a way better meal.

Went here once for a rehearsal dinner and again recently before a Ducks game. Both times, we experienced delicious food and attentive service. Calamari was plump and crispy and filets were cooked perfectly rare as requested. Don’t let the casual name fool you… it’s a nice sit down place and surprisingly kid friendly. The only reason ICP didn’t get 5 stars is because of a restroom issue that I won’t get specific on.

Just had my wedding at the Irish Coffee Pub yesterday and the food, service, management(Jason & Stephen) and staff were absolutely AMAZING! I booked and planned this wedding from out of state so most of the coordination took place over the phone or email and they got the decorations and settings right down to every detail of my complicating center pieces. Couldn’t be happier with the reception venue and our special day!

I have long been on the hunt for a proper Shepherds Pie on Long Island and I have finally found one! The problem is now nothing else is going to compare. The ambience is a warm Irish farmhouse with medium light level. They have a small bar with a Piano man on Saturday night with a lively mid thirties plus crowd. Service was impeccable attentive without being intrusive. The drinks arrived from the bar within two minutes of ordering and the food was prompt and hot. With just enough time in between courses to properly enjoy conversation.

I have such wonderful and sentimental memories at this restaurant. My honey proposed here, so it will always be a favorite. My eldest daughter orchestrated and paid for my 50th birthday here. My brother and I abducted my mothers remains and brought her here and toasted Guinness to it. The lunches here are delicious. The lamb is memorable, it was so good, I even got my honey to try it. I can’t count the delicious meals I’ve had here. If you go, make sure you get the potato soup! You’ll want to take some home with you. This restaurant is very typical Irish pub décor, tastefully decorated. The bar section is wood paneled and windows are stained glass. Upstairs is painted a linen color with brass fixtures on the ceiling. I was up there briefly and can barely remember the rest, it was being set up for a wedding. The parking is inadequate for the amount of people the restaurant can accommodate, so if you go, make a reservation and get there a little early.
