I don’t know what happened here. I went maybe a year ago and found s large menu, ordered a really nice salad and had good service. Nothing amazing, but competent and satisfying. Maybe a month ago I went for lunch with a friend to find that the lunch menu was about the size of a tablet, and the salad I loved(and her favorite menu item) were no longer available. We ordered other things(all I remember is a spinach artichoke dip) that were adequate but uninspired. My friend paid an extra dollar for a «strawberry» mojito and got precisely one strawberry. Finally, the service was wretched. I’m very forgiving, but the two women waiting tables could barely bother to help us and we were, at that time, their only customers. They were involved in conversation with each other, and we were clearly not as interesting. Bottom line: despite the fact that this restaurant is really close to my house, I’m not ever going back.

Had the best flank steak of my life. Staff is friendly. Angus burgers live up to expectation. Half off Wednesday is AWSOME.

We had a lunch groupon and really enjoyed our meals. I had the Shepard pie with summer squash and not was good My friend had the BBQ Irish bacon. She said the sauce was very good. Fries were good. The table next to ours had mac and cheese and it looked very good. Service was good. Table a little sticky. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

I have been here about a dozen times and have had great food and drinks with awesome service each and every time. Great craft beer and liquor selection. Quality food with a variety of different options. Staff is always awesome and I like that if you sit at the bar, ALL the bartenders talk with you and remember you even if it has been months since your last visit. Additionally, you cannot beat Wednesdays: Half of drinks and food on the entire menu(I believe the only exception is steak entrees and toppings, but don’t quote me). Love coming back!

I should make it clear, that I go to Dublin’s primarily on Wednesdays(½ off) and nice summer days(great deck). If I can help it, I’d prefer to go to a dive bar in East Lansing or head back home(Royal Oak) for a meal; but when going out with work colleagues, Dublin is a safe bet. Reasons to go: 1) Good selection of beer — smaller than others in the area, but decent. 2) Decent food, albeit slightly more than I would like to pay for the quality. 3) Decent dance club on weekend nights. Reasons not to go: 1) It’s not very«Irish.» Sure they have a few items(e.g. bangers and mash), but most items are either bar foods or standard restaurant dishes given an Irish name. 2) The prices are a bit too high for what you get, unless you go on a day they are running a special. 3) The service is hit and miss.

Dublin Square Irish Pub is good for two things: the food and the dancing. In comparison to other«clubs» in East Lansing, this is the only location I think knows how to handle the dinner crowd AND the night life. Take Harpers, for example, they have not a clue how to handle both businesses. Dublin has really great food. I’ve ordered many different dishes over the years and each time I’m pleased with the product. The cooks at this place seem to have a true interest in making good food, not just some college jock and a grill. The atmosphere here is nice. It’s «rustic» but not screaming for a rennovation. Almost every time I am seated in the right wing dining area near the fireplace. I love the nook. The drinks here are average. Nothing special. The prices are normal. The serivce is normal. The sad thing is in this town, normal is hard to find. I give this place 4 Stars because not once have I had a bad experience. I would suggest anyone go here for dinner or even later to get your dance on. The dance room is nice becuase it’s its own thing. You don’t have to worry about annoying people enjoying their meal becasue the dance floor is the dance floor. It has a bunch of flat screen TV’s that all interact with what the DJ is playing. Once you get enough drinks in you, Dublin can be a great night for you and friends. I would give 5 Stars but I couldn’t. It’s no 5 Star establshment.

Dublin has pretty good food and good beer selection. Their drinks are also pretty good. I’m not giving them 4⁄5 stars because they seem to have become arrogant which has caused a decline in service and food

After the bouncer took away my friends legitimate ID, he proceeded to call her a ‘fucking bitch’ and slammed the door on our way out. Completely unnecessary, and unprofessional since we did not do anything wrong. My friend had to call the police in order to get her ID back. I graduated from MSU in 2012, and Dublin is always our bar of choice when we visit, but this was a really big turn off, and I doubt I’ll go back.

Went out for a Ladies Night, first time here for me, and had a great time. The bartenders and security were very nice. Drinks were made quickly and when needed. They bartender even let my friend and I stash our coats in the back. The DJ was good too(DJ Donnie D). The dance floor was open and everyone had a great time. Id come back here again. They could have more than two stall bathrooms though…

Very friendly service and decent food. Come in on Wednesday’s for half off the whole menu! During the time I ate at Dublin’s is was very slow but it has a great bar and traditional Irish dishes that you can’t find most places!

Honestly if I could give zero stars I would. Not only did our food(two sandwiches) take over an hour to get there, one of them had almost nothing in it. While anxiously awaiting our food, a couple of friends whom were in a party of 8 came after us, were seated, ate their food, paid the bill and were walking out 15 minutes before our meal even arrived. Both the manager and waitress failed to adequately handle the situation. My advice would be to pack a snack if you plan on eating there anytime soon.

The entire kitchen and wait staff saw an ice cream truck and ran outside. Leaving me alone in the restaurant, they returned 10 minutes later with ice cream. Can’t belive that happened… at least they got me a spongeBob ice cream with gum ball eyes.

Dublin’s is my favorite bar on campus. The décor is very HIMYM and is what attracted me there when I first turned 21. Compared to the rest of the bars on campus, it’s kind of a no brainer why you would want to come here. I just love the atmosphere, live music, the dj in the back, drinks, the tables to play quarters on, everything. It’s a great bar and I can’t imagine my MSU experience without it.

Bleck — avoid this place. The service was lackluster, the acoustics make it impossible to hear someone across the table. The food was a flavorless gruel. If you want americanized Irish food, drive to Claddagh.

Dublin was one of my favorite bars in EL when I was in undergrad. The place has a sense of class, not stooping as low as its competitors. The service is very good and the bar is spacious; there are different areas to relax, chill, dance, get wild. The outdoor patio is huge and great for days like St. Patty’s, and the drinks are pretty strong. The food is also pretty stellar, and having darts is great. Lots of TV’s, too. Not much wrong with this place, if anything. I always stop by when I’m back in East Lansing. You should too!

Yet another bar with a profound identity crisis in E. Lansing. Is it an Irish Pub? An American-style Sports Bar? A Dance Bar? How it manages to be all of these things and simultaneously none of them is astonishing to me. They have better beer than«Harpers», worse beer than«Beggars,» an «okay» scotch selection(still worse than«Beggars»), and a SMALL Irish whisky selection(odd for even a wannabe Irish Pub, right?). They have NO traditional Irish food instead they have something called«Irish Nachos,» whatever the f*** that is. There is no dance floor and the seating is overly crowded yet they still hire a DJ to come ruin everyones conversations. And for what? So tubby sorostitutes can dance in the isles with each other? I’ll pass.

Management here must be a bunch of morons for not staffing appropriately on one of the known busiest days… East Lansing art fair(2012) — by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. However, I have been here on multiple occasions that haven’t sucked so hard. It’s a big Irish pub — the staff is generally nice — sometimes they have attitudes I don’t care for. They do have a nice big patio and live music occasionally. It’s your party place. They staff behind the bar very well, but not the servers on the floor. So… come in and sit at the bar if you can find a spot and enjoy some beverages — the food is nothing to write home about.
