Blackthorne Pub

Love this place. Very comfortable with good service and decent free entertainment. The highlight is the awesome beer list.

Great free live music and A nice. beer list. And the owner gave us free home-​baked cookies before we left!
The atmosphere was a bit dark, but was what I expected for an Irish pub. I can’t speak for the food since we just had drinks.

I went here last night for dinner/​drinks with my 24yr old daughter. They did have entertainment for a Wed night.
The reason I gave this review a 1 star rating is based off of a few factors. Service and food which are the two main qualities we are looking for. Overall; my dinner took over 2hours which is quite long for a bar/​pub food type of place. My order was delayed /​the bartender said it was the cooks fault but we felt she forgot to put it in. The service was just awful –at one point I waited approx 14minutes while my beer was empty. There was not many customers,
The food– Their steak fries are so big that it feels like your eating a big potato– its dry. The burger didn’t come with the dressing it said it would have. The mussels were good, but everything else we ordered just seemed okay or less than okay for taste. I brought two meals home and my boyfriend wanted to pack it up and bring it back to get my money back. I can’t remember the last time I felt this way about a meal or service. I’m always a 20% tipper and this night I had a hard time given her 15%. in fact I wanted to give her even less but couldn’t bring myself to do it. She was a nice girl, but didn’t meet the level of service that we want when we are going out. My experience even made me email them directly this morning. Especially since my overall cost for this meal/​service was over $ 75 it needs to feel like a $ 75 worth it experience. and almost 24hrs later I feel like I wasted my money.
