They grind there beef for the burgers. They slice there own tid bits! Very fresh! Oh! The wings, best in the hamptons!!!

The Triangle Pub is right around the corner from my old house. We usually get takeout once a month from here, I’ve also dined in a few times, but I would rather just do takeout.
The food is your typical bar food menu, Burgers, Sandwiches, Wraps and a pretty standard list of appetizers. When I order, I usually get a marinated cheeseburger with fries and the mini-​tacos
The burgers are pretty good. They cook them just how you like and there are a lot of different toppings you can choose from. My only complaint is that the «marinated» burger isn’t really marinated, they just put the «marinade» on your burger after it’s been cooked. The marinade is very tasty (definitely soy sauce based), it just sucks that it pretty much soaks up your entire bun into a mushy mess. Still delicious though.
The mini-​tacos are probably frozen and thrown in the deep frier, but they’re perfect and they use good quality tacos and they always come out perfectly crispy with cool sour-​cream and salsa for dipping.
I’ve never been here for the bar, but you could almost consider this place a biker-​bar. Some nights when you drive by there are TONS of motorcycles parked outside. Not surprising as it’s just off sunrise highway and you always find groups of bikers making drives out to the Hamptons during the Summer.
It’s not the prettiest place you’ll ever visit, but it’s charming and the prices are great for what you get. I come back regularly because the burgers are great and the take-​out service is quick.

Excellent food for a great price! The décor is outdated, but that’s not what we go there for. Staff is nice too. This is a local spot made for regulars. It’s a biker bar of sorts but also a family friendly restaurant. This isn’t some new age gastropub. This is old school. We usually split an order of wings and a burger. The portions are big and properly cooked. Burgers customized on a kaiser roll and wings with choice of mild or spicy with homemade blue cheese. Their menu expands far further than these two items, but we haven’t tried anything else. The place has been around forever with good reason. We have yet to leave unhappy and we will be back soon.

Great staff and service. Unfortunately food was stuck in the 70’s. Was not happy with the famous burger. Would just go here for a night cap. Bar area really small.

I finally came out here, as suggested by my boyfriend’s coworker. When we first walked in, it was… a pub. Bunch of older guys cheering at a small TV at the bar and kinda seemed like no one was really paying attention to anyone (who wasn’t a regular?) coming in. We decided to sit at the sit-​in area instead of the bar. It was empty but at least it was quiet.
It’s a very unimpressive spot.
The waitress was an older blonde woman. I really liked her! She made conversation, was funny and just nice to talk to. She didn’t come in constantly come up to us, which is nice!
We ordered two burgers. I had a 12oz ($ 7), medium well with pepper jack cheese, raw onions, jalapeños, lettuce and tomatoes. Everything that isn’t the meat or bun is an add-​on, so you gotta pay for it. There’s even a $ 3 charge for sharing a plate. I mean that’s a bit strange but at the same time it’s understandable. I guess?
My boyfriend more or less had the same thing but no tomatoes or jalapeños and fried onions instead. We also had shock tops.
So I gotta say it was pretty damn good. I’d go here again for the burgers and beer! We spent a total of $ 35 which is pretty much what two people spend when they go out to a decently priced place to eat. I mean between that one waitress and the ridiculously good burger, I’m gonna have to give it a 4. Just get passed the looks of the place.

I went to the Triangle Pub today for the first time after hearing about it from a couple of long time customers last night at the Riverhead Moose Lodge. As far as pub food goes I would give this place five stars (not to be confused with a true five star restaurant).
I had the shrimp salad platter ($ 8.00). I expected some shrimp salad on a bed of lettuce. What I got was a full plate of salad with sliced mushrooms, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, and about 3/8’s of a pound of shrimp. :-)
I also had a dozen Little Neck clams on the half shell ($ 9.00) that were perfectly shucked. Served with some pretty tasty cocktail sauce.
When ever I visit with my Mother (who really enjoyed their Soup du Jour, which was Beef Barley today). I will be going back to the Triangle

Unfortunately the waitress got our entire order wrong, we waited so long for the wrong food to come that we decided to just take everything to go. So instead of a eating experience it was more of a waiting and sipping on ginger ale for over an hour and a half for a burger (so not some complex dish nope just a plain burger I would be able to make at home in 20 min) In the end what was most surprising to me was that she didn’t offer anything, you would think that after getting everything wrong they would at least be apologetic and throw in a appetizer or something but nope. Safe to say we will never be returning

The Triangle Pub was disappointing. The steak tid bits were overdone, tough and not good at all. My children liked the burgers but the jalapeño poppers were bad.

This place has been here a long time, its a non-​hipster place, not a place to be seen, non-​trendy. The food is excellent, the dining room is quiet and the bar area is very noisy. Good entrees and desserts as well. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Honestly, the only thing i ever get when i go here is a burger because everything else isnt cooked right or just sucks. The atmosphere is horrible… you have to walk through the bar to go to the restaurant and go past cigarette smelling drunk bikers.

I cannot believe it but I stopped here one more time as some friends wanted to try it. Let’s just say we all walked out. It is nice they redid the bathroom, but that was it. Horrible. Bottom line.

Great place! Steak tidbits, huge cheeseburgers, huge chef’s salad — all at great prices! Best part is the waitress calling you a wimp if you turn down the 11oz burger — which is only $ 1 more than the 6oz!

Delicious burgers! Not the fanciest place, but you knew that. Don’t judge a book by its cover with this restaurant. Good service, predictably great food. Go marinated on your burger. Great for takeout too!

I can’t believe the reviews here for this place been coming here 20 years and never had a bad burger.
Also it’s really cheap for a huge burger!

Dive bar that makes the best burgers… cheap appetizers that come in large portions! We always order a bunch of apps as take out when me and hubby wanna veg in front of the tv. Not really the eat in type of place more for the local bar crowd.

When we don’t feel like going out to eat, we often get take out from the Triangle Pub. So far, food has always been great when we get it home. Decent size servings and not thrown together like other restaurants we have taken out from. Love the corn fritters!

Locals place to grab a brew and a burger. Older crowd while I was there on a Monday evening. Didn’t have any food but, had fun playing old tunes on the juke box and having a couple beers with the hubby. Great service, relaxed and low key atmosphere.

Feels like being back in Upstate NY — love the vibe
Pros:
1) Specials written in neon marker on a board. Feels like your old favorite hometown restaurant
2) Dessert case — old school and I love it
3) Great, gigantic burger. Small is $ 6, large is massive and only $ 7. Strange that they make you pay $ 0.25 to add lettuce, but not like I’m complaining about the value here
4) Service — nice, normal people. A great departure from the typical pretentious service you get in NYC /​Hamptons
Suggestions:
1) Steak fries — meh. Would prefer shoestring, waffle, curly variety instead. Just not a big steak fry fan
2) Garlic mashed potatoes — just OK.

Food was pretty good here. The bar was pretty packed with what seemed like a largely local crowd. Prices were very affordable.

The best mini tacos & marinated burgers. Nothing fancy, just Great service, and friendly crowd. Definitely an everbody knows your name kind of place, and if they don’t, they will surely ask! Awesome bartender named Casey pours delicious drinks with a fantastic smile! You always feel welcome here, and if you’re lucky the owner may be there to buy you a beer! This place reminds me of what good service is all about. Awesome place to watch a game.
