Mike’s Place Too

Thanks for bringing this place back to it origin. Mike’s was the place to meet friends and get good food back when the owner Mike ran the place. Then it was leased and went down hill fast. Now a newly remodeled bar and restaurant is nice. If you want to watch sports and have drinks it great. If you want to have a sit down meal the opened up a large back room away from the bar flys and the good is great. Prices are reasonable and the service is good.

Fantastic! Been going here for years when it was just jokes place. Will my fave is the marinated burger. Burgers are always cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful.

My husband and I are regular customers of this restaurant. The food is good and until today I would have said the customer service was great too. Unfortunately today my experience here has been destroyed by an extreamly rude and unprofessional employee I believe to be named Ryan. Dennis is wonderful and the rest of the staff are great too. But to be honest I don’t come out to spend my money to be treated rude by someone who is on a power trip and thinks they’re above people for no reason! We didn’t deserve the treatment we received and honestly it has really turned us off from coming back. The only thing that might make us ever come back is Dennis bar tender/​server who is the most respectful and highly professional person at Mike’s Place Too.

I was very into this place! the penne ala vodka is so so soooo good. i got mine with shrimp though and they werent jumbo or worth $ 8 to add the 5 of them. ill try chicken next time but really the pasta by itself is more than perfect. everything all around was delish!

I love coming to this bar/​restaurant. The bartenders and waitresses are friendly and attentive. They takethe time to remember your likes and dislikes when it comes to your order The food is very good and they have great happy hour deals. My only suggestion would be for them to change up their menu more often. When I open their menus I always hope to see something new to try but alas the menu is the same as its been for the last few years. Other then that it’s a great evening out. Wish I was there now

Good place to get a burger and a beer, maybe some wings and mozzarella sticks. Go beyond that and your ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ at getting a really good meal.
The prices are moderate, the service is hot or miss, and the environment is casual and relaxed.
I go here 5 – 10 times a year only because my brother lives locally and it’s an easy place to get together.

I due suggest one thing as to fresh cut fries there fries now are great just
want to bring more happiness and a next step above. Keep up the great work

Flat draft beer every time…

Thursday wing night is pretty good, a large portion and the hot — hot sauce is really good, the wings could be a little more tender and the waitress could try and smile once and a while, the bartenders are sweethearts, but overall really good wings. I have also tried a steak sandwich there that was OK. Four stars because the wing sauce is great, the drinks and beer selection is usually pretty good (tried a chocolate beer once that was really interesting) and the deal is great.

This place is great! I can’t find better wings on Long Island! And if you go Thursday it’s 2 for 1 so you get about 20 wings for less then 9 bucks. They are so tasty it’s crazy! The place is also filled with tv’s for sports and has a very cozy feeling. I never really had anything but the wings but there other food looks great as well! Make sure you go Thursday!!!

They just redone the place. Looks really good. I went there last night and have marinated burger. Burger was good but bit dry. French fries are almost have no taste, just a simple fries. Bar manager was friendly but bartender girl wasn’t so friendly and hardly give me a service. Over all they did a good job renovating but i don’t think they are ready to handle big crowd.

This place is fabulous! I’ve eaten here twice now and am so thrilled to have found a hidden gem like this in my neighborhood. Their recent remodel is beautifully done, with simple touches that keep it casual but aesthetically pleasing. They have a quaint outdoor eating area that’s covered but allows you to enjoy good weather and fresh air. The food is EXCELLENT and incredibly reasonably priced. Each time I’ve been the service has also been excellent. This is my new spot, great job Mike’s!

Mikes place is a good local American bar restaurant. Great burgers, prime rib, steaks, seafood, lots of good appetizers and don’t forget the drinks. I use to come here a lot when I lived out east. I highly recommend Mikes place if you live in Shirley or mastic

I’ve been eating at Mike’s Place Too for 20 years. It went downhill a few years ago after a new owner took it over, but has since been taken back by the original Big Mike and completely remodeled inside and out, and now is on par with any upscale restaurant anywhere. It’s a true sports bar and excellent restaurant with the best wings in the universe. The burgers are world class as well and the service is excellent.

Mike’s Place has always been a great place to go, but now it’s even better! Their makeover and new ownership has done great things!
It’s absolutely beautiful inside! All of the bartenders and staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Drinks are made well, as is the food. We love the wings, burgers, and marinated steak sandwich. My husband swears by the potato salad, I prefer the sweet potato fries. The daily specials are great, too! I had linguine in white clam sauce the other day, so delicious!
I wish they would serve more local beers, since lately Long Island has seen many great breweries come into existence, like Great South Bay Brewery, and they have so many taps that they could get rid of some of the «average» beer and bring in some truly special things. That’s pretty much my only negative!
Get here early on Friday or Saturday nights, it gets packed quickly!

So this place is open and is now JC’s at Mike’s place too. Decent beer selection, they have Wild Turkey American Honey, which is always a plus. The wings are really good, the hottest hot sauce they have is unique and enjoyable. It burns but you still get a great taste. Some places hottest sauces are just burn. Thursday is wing night! You may just see me there.

Pretty good food. The service was not friendly though. The burger was very good (the onion straws were rubbery). Wedge salad was well done with a lot of toppings. Very limited wine selection. Excellent draft beer selection. Brownie sundae was very good.

This was a great go-​to spot when reuniting with some H.S. friends.
I’m sad to know it is no longer in existence.
They had a sweet staff and your usual selection of bar food. (90% fried, 5% soup, 2.5% salads, 2.5% «why is this on the menu?»)
Had always been a central location from myself (Mastic Beach) and my friends (Mastic-​Shirley). A short drive after a couple of drinks is obviously key.
Exterior was nothing to brag about but it was next to a train station so keep yer perspective in check.

Don’t know what is going on with this place but its like the third time in a row that the service was horrible. You walk in and its says wait to be seated! Every time lately people just walk by and say nothing. Finally some teenage boy walks over without a smile and mumbles how many. Jeez, I hope I m not putting you out! How’s about Hi guys welcome to Mike’s???
Once your seated and get your pint, savior it because I think they leave to go to the actual brewery or something because it takes literally forever to get your second round, food came before the round did? And the place wasn’t that busy.
Lastly I ordered my burger medium rare, hoping for medium, it was well done. I use to really like this place??? Again if this was an isolated incident, I would just ignore it. Its becoming the norm!
I think ill stay away for awhile! So many great places in Patchogue, these days!

Great spot for a half pound buffalo burger. Get it marinated or Cajun style. Mikes Place Too also does baked clams and clams on the half shell. Not a bad place to sit at the bar and eat, with a decent selection of taps. 2 for 1 wings Wednesday nights, and on weekends, they have nighttime specials with cheap cocktails and sampler platters.
If you think this place is shady, you don’t know Mastic Beach, my friends.
