This is a dependable spot to grab lunch. The staff here is very friendly and genuine. I’d say the food is good but not exceptional. Definitely an old-school approach to ordering with the pen and pad approach. They could benefit from a better menu design as the specials are taped to every odd corner of the place. I’ll be back for lunch from time to time.

The cost is much too high for the sub I got. The cheese in my sandwich tasted like that gross Kraft cheese, and turkey really wasn’t anything to write home about. If you’re looking for a decent sub, don’t go here! The service was lackluster, as there was only one person working when I came in. I’d recommend Jimmy Johns or even Subway in place of this sub shop.

I am not feeling the high reviews here. My «chicken parmesan» was basically stewed chicken in a thin tomato broth, spooned on to a pretty tasteless roll and topped with yellow american cheese. Not exactly what I think of when I think of chicken parmesan. The side of veggie soup I had… well, no salt, pepper, or seasonings were harmed in the making of that soup. Also, very odd ordering process when we were there. The gentleman who asked us for our orders would take them… and then relay them to a girl standing immediately next to him, who could clearly had heard us. And we were the only people in the place, so there was no fear of our voices being drowned out in the crowd. Just odd. We took a flier on this, looking for something outside of the normal routine… and…we won’t be back.

In town for business and stumbled on this place. The sub I ordered was delicious! The bread was fresh and soft. Excellent friendly service and very fast. Great little place!

When I stopped by, Sammy’s really gave Jimmy John’s a run for their money in the«freaky fast» department. My coworkers and I had about 10 minutes to order, eat, and go before our next meeting(aka. poor planning on our part). However, we got our sandwiches literally 30 seconds after placing our orders, so we had plenty of time to inhale it all. Next time I’m back here, I’ll be able to taste the flavors a little more… I’m guessing Sammy(the owner?) is the guy who was chatting us up about how awesome his subs were, and he’s a super friendly guy. To order, make sure you grab one of the clipboards and fill out your order. I ordered a half Italian sub(which was decent) but I’ve got my eye on those hot subs for next time!

SUPER friendly service. Not the best sub I have ever had, but, hey, how often does that happen? The sandwich was much better than average and better than I expected. I for sure will be back.

I’m assuming it is the owner that has been working every time I’ve come in here for lunch. He’s a real personable dude and sometime hooks me up with an extra punch on my punch card towards a free sandwich. The price is average for a sub shop, you could get a lunch easily under $ 10 and they have good combos for soups/drinks/sandwiches/ice cream. The bread is a little dry but the toppings they throw on there all seem pretty fresh.

Exceptionally friendly service, must be «Sammy» who works the register. Clean and OLDSCHOOL Had ½ hour to grab a quick bite between meetings and its the only deli in the strip mall. I had the ½ meatball sandwi and the tomato soup along with a diet coke($ 9.70 I believe). Meatball had great wheat bread, small meatball and cheese, but no sauce at all. Pretty bland. Soup was excellent. Food was a «3», service was a «5» so i say 4.

Love this place! I moved to the neighborhood recently and used that as an excuse to eat out every night for weeks… saw this in the strip mall by my house and was not disappointed! Sammy himself made my meatball sub and had me sample all sorts of the«house specialties» including the chili and tuna salad… both good! When I told him I was new to the area he triple stamped my frequent diners card(love the loyalty programs!) and told me to stop in often. Which I will.

Scenario — Off the bus after a long work week, lots done, but ready for the weekend. Sitting at the stoplight I say to my wife, «How about trying out that Sammy’s Subs?» 5 minutes later we saunter into the sub shop and it is completely empty and the two employees jump up from their computer and hop behind the counter to wash their hands. They ask for my order and I respond, «Sammy’s club please.» I asked for horseradish with mayo and all the free veggie fixings. I don’t think they heard the horseradish part, but I ordered the whole. It was a little over 7 bucks, which I thought was a little steep. Then I got home! The sub was about the length of my forearm. Lots of meat and great mayo on the great wheat bread, The employees were super nice and really appreciated our business. I only had half the sub for dinner and some baked chips at home with a solid beer. I would give the place 5 stars, but I have had Clancey’s subs, so unless you meet their bar, you are not getting 5 stars. It was an awesome sub though!
