Great Restaurant but this location not so much. The menu has changed not for the better and portions skimpier and service is mediocre and prices higher. I’ve been to other Friendlys and had a rocking great time. Would I recommend it yes this location NO!

AWFUL. We stopped to get ice cream and only one person was working. He had no idea what he was doing and charged me for the wrong thing. Didn’t even know what I ordered so I had to refer back to the menu. I’m still waiting for my 2 ice creams and I’ve been standing here for over 20 minutes.

Took my family to Family’s for a Sunday dinner. I cannot complain about the food or the service. It’s not a fine diner so don’t expect that. It is decent food at decent prices served by decent folks. We enjoyed it…
And the ice cream desserts were the biggest hits with my kids!!!

Tried this for the first time cuz my husband have good memories of friendly’s with his high school friends. Though to me, the brand is kinda old and boring.
Well the fish i ordered was so so.
The sandwich melt was also so so.
The ice cream though was superb!
Our server was also not very attentive. Took her a long time to offer us drinks. And another long wait to get our order. Twas not busy at all when we came! So i think they have to work on the service too.
Also, for me, the resto is pricey for a so so food.

I don’t get how this gets any business. The food is pretty below average, the service is so-so, and the atmosphere… leaves a lot to be desired. If you are looking for a family friendly restaurant there are better options in the area, if you are looking for crappy food after a night of drinking there are better restaurants in the area, and if you want ice cream there is cold stone or sweet frog. I don’t think Friendly’s is too long for Edgewater.

If you want fast, attentive and, friendly service ask for Yolanda. We were here on a Tuesday night so it wasn’t busy but there were tables and she was flying like a moth, cooking, making ice cream, ringing people up, playing hostess. Everyone got taken care of. A truly amazing waitress.

Going to Friendly’s is like meeting up with a friend you haven’t seen in 20 years: you’re not sure what to expect, except for nostalgia and memories.
Well I caught up with Friendly’s and the place is older, flourscent lit, and peopled with young families and AARP members. The service was nice and well-meaning, if slow, and the food was good. You know the fare: burgers, fries, BLTs, chicken sandwiches. And sundaes.
If you remember your childhood visits, then get a sundae if you’re going to Friendly’s. Its the only reason you are there, if you want to be truly honest with yourself. Right?
