I said last time I went in here never again… well one year later had need for the same window well size that is not carried at my usual Settergren’s Hardware. Same experience as last year…5−6 guys standing in Jerry’s green shirts having a great time chatting with each other. Not one approached me to see if I need help… so had to go up and ask. Guy takes me back to the area and points to them up 8 ft on a shelf… I then have to ask him to get some down… he seemed shocked that all window wells are not the same size… I explained that concept to him and had him go through and find the correct one. It was at best comical that he had so little basic knowledge of a popular item at this time of the year and at worst frustrating. This is the same every time you go in to this place. Go to a real hardware!

I love going to a local hardware store. They have recently moved to a larger space in a strip mall next to Jerry’s Foods in Edina and having the extra service is worth the extra money that you would pay by going to Home Depot.
We take our lawnmower to be serviced here, we go for small nuts and bolts when we need it, and we needed some mouse trap stuff here today.
The service people helped us pick out what the best product to use was and they even greeted us when we walked in the door.
They have a great selection and a ton of other cool stuff, like bird feeders, seed, grass stuff, snow blowers, lawn mowers, grills, basically anything you need.
We walk by it every morning on the way to the bus and they always say hello as they are setting their wares out in the promenade.
You are basically spending a little more money for a personal consultant, love it!

Great helpful people and a much larger selection then you would expect for a smaller, neighborhood store. Worth a few extra pennies to shop local when the service is this good.
As soon as you walk in the store, inevitably, some helpful associate will ask what you are looking for and without hesitation guide you right to the spot — I like that. I can be in an out with the item I needed fast and in the same amount of time it would take at the big box place just to find a parking space and walk the half mile to the store.
