I had been here today with close frnds for a bday party. It was busy as it is a friday evening. But i was shocked by their amazing service. The staff were cool and so helpful. I ve ordered a bawarchi fish fry and i ve to mention its the best i had in times. These guys made me so proud as my friends were so happy and tummy full. The manager even suggested us a complimentary mango lassi. It was not too sweet but just the way it should be. Will definitely be back…

Service is pathetic on weekends. I have had two instances where they simply forgot about me. When I checked 30 mins later, they woke up.

We lack good briyani options in Philadelphia so while up in North Jersey we had to check this place out. The Hyderabadi biryani was so delicious! I love the spice level, just hot enough to sting but lovely when accompanied with hot south indian coffee! Also, had the masala dosa which was decent. Place was filled with Indian couples and families and people kept coming in to pick up catered orders. Small place but although there were some families waiting, they did not try to rush folks who were seated. Good service too. I will definitely be back!

Usually i am a big fan of Oak tree paradise. We travel about an hour to enjoy some nice briyani. One of my friend mentioned about this bawarchi place stating this is better than or equal to paradise. We ordered Gobi machurian, panner tikka masala, chicken dum and veg dum briyani. Gobi machurian was okay. Panneer tikka and naan was okay as well. Briyani was a big disappointment. Though the quanitiy is large, taste is not good. Very much disappointed. I am going back to paradise.

My favorite Indian food, Manager is great and attentive. Servers greet u sincerely and the Vegetarian food is 100% the best in my opinion. As I drive to Edison from Bucks County quite often tasting and deciding where to eat. This is hands down terrific. Dum Biryani, Dal thaka, loving all my choices.

The positive reviews have got to be kidding me. I am a typical Hyderabadi who knows her appetizers and biryani. I live in Baltimore but I keep traveling to Virginia and NJ on weekends just to get some soul food. In my search for one of the beloved Hyderabad appetizers, Chicken Majestic, I came across this place on Unilocal. Couple of weekends and 3 hrs drive later, I was super excited to eat here because they got a real good menu. Just to give you an idea, a few of the dishes which would excite a South-Indian are ; 1. Chicken Majestic 2. Gongura Chicken 3. Natukodi(biryani, fry, basically everything you love) 4. Avakay Chicken Biryani 5. Ulavacharu biryani 6. Hakka noodles I mean, what even ! So, we ordered 4 out of 6. Chicken Majestic– I asked them super spicy because that’s how it’s supposed to be and the waiter asked me if I am sure because the dish was already spicy enough(according to him, at least) I still insisted on making it extra spicy and guess what? I had to ask for chilli sauce for which they looked surprised and took good 10 seconds to realize what was I asking and got the sauce. Majestic was very disappointing altogether. It is not authentic. Avakay Biryani– Because I asked for it to be spicy, they just put a whole lot of garam masala(whole and powdered) and the taste is awful. And about that Avakay, they just add little pickle and pieces in chicken biryani. I took ¾th of it home and threw it away eventually. Ulavacharu Veg– I have no idea what that is but it’s certainly not Ulavacharu biryani. Hakka Noodles– Surprisingly good ! We had a big plan to devour a lot on that beautiful menu but boy, are we disappointed !

Being a hard core Hyderabadi Biriyani fan I keep on sampling biriyanis everywhere trying to search for the flavor which still resides with me fro. The original paradise in Hyderabad. Usually we go to paradise Biriyani house but just needed a change from usual routine. We ordered gongura chicken and boneless chicken Biriyani with medium spice level. The portions were good the spice level was also quite high but I wasn’t disappointed. The food was quite similar to the paradise Biriyani point across the road. Maybe they have the same chefs! :)

I have been a regular to this place for 2 years now, I try to visit at least once every 2 weeks as it is near to the place where I do groceries. To me it is one of the authentic biryani joint, I carve for a good Hydrabadi Dum Biriyani and this place never disappoint me. The people are friendly and The Kumar Soni plaza has other food joints like indo Chinese, Punjabi and chat corner, which gives you more options to fill your appetite. Their south india menus are good too. Dosas are my favorite. I’ll be regular until I move out of NJ.

The food is decent. You have good south Indian flavor to the food but the service is so shitty. The waiters gave me the wrong order twice. They are kinda arrogant to sum up its plain bad customer service. I don’t think I would want to go there again

We Ordered a To-Go for Biryani from this restaurant. Biryani taste was not good. I can say it is poor and the service was poor. People at the counter, way they talk is very rude. Thumbs down!!!

Generally I hate to right reviews, but thus one I created a account to write about this place. I wish Unilocal had a 0 start review option. The food a was terrible. Just avoid this place. They serve left overs. I have asked why was food smelling like it was cooked long back? The owner just put his bare hands in biryani and tasted it directly for the pot and told the biryani taste the same, adding he sold 500 of them and no one complain about that. That was very rude. He just want me eat what ever is served without questioning. He did even charge for that biryani. Don’t know how Edison city is still approving their licence to sell food. Very unhygienic conditions where the biryani is prepared. They just keep doing this because our Indians just go there and eat whatever is served without questioning the management. The owner here is to blame, not the workers I knew him as I am a frequent customer past 2 years. I just saw him abusing his workers right infornt of costumers. Teach this owner a lesson when you are planning to vist next time. I wish the employees complain about him.

I used to be a regular customer at this place. However, Bawarchi let me down in front of my friends as I boasted about Bawarchi’s quality and convinced them to get the biryani from them. I got two family packs of goat biryani for six adults. It was utterly disappointing. Their quality has deteriorated over last several months. My first complaint is about the spice. I told them mild and still they put so much red chili powder, it was too much to eat. Second was their goat meat pieces. There were only three or four small pieces. Each pack was supposed to be for three people, but there were two eggs, what would the third person eat? Well, this is the last time I am getting it from there.

The only place I got to eat a flavorful and spicy keema biriyani. Mind u when I say spicy it is really spicy so if you are not an avid fan let them know before hand. The appetizers are also very good and come in good size portions. Only downside is they don’t deliver. Place is good and gets busy a lot but the food is served at an excellent pace.

If there was a rating in negative, this restaurant reserves it. There’s nothing special about the biryani you get here. I’ve been here with a few friends of mine at around 9 o’clock. The waitress was so so disrespectful. I don’t know why she was rude. And I’m the top of it, the bill comes with 15% tip added on it. Remember, when you don’t want to pay it, just talk to the person about it. THATSTHELAW. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this place.

Overall 4 stars Food: 5 stars Value: 4 stars Service: 3.5 stars Will I be back? If I’m in the area, yes. Overall: I was here with 16 other people on one bill. Deficiencies were to be expected when ordering so much food. But I wish they could have told us some more information about the menu. Food: Food was excellent, well spiced, and tasty. We ordered a couple different types of biryani and chicken tikka and naan. All were excellent. Service As mentioned we had 16 people, and ordered a lot of food. What I didn’t mention is that we arrived near the end of the lunch rush, so we had to wait a while for them to cook fresh food. I understood, especially with the size of our order. However… The portion sizes were small, we wished they could have told us(we did ask also!). if we had known we would have ordered literally twice the amount of food. but because of the wait, we all left hungry. Value: Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes given. i don’t live nearby, but if I did, I probably would be back often(at least for take out).

The star here if you haven’t guessed it is the biryani! We came here around 4PM on a Sunday, and there were quite a few tables seated in the restaurant. Furthermore people were coming in for their takeout orders. We ordered the following: — mango lassi: this was so good we bought one more to go. It has a bit more oomph compared to lassi’s we get at other indian restaurants. I feel like there’s some type of spice in it that makes it taste very unique. This went perfectly with all the spicy food we had — garlic naan: this was not as fluffy as some places we’ve tried, but still very good — boti goli kebabs: a new appetizer recommended by the server. They are minced mutton patties served with this spicy yogurt sauce. The patties themselves were already spicy so I think regular yogurt sauce would’ve been perfect instead of spicy. The patties had good flavor but I probably wouldn’t order this again — chicken tikka kebab: the chicken were full of flavor and not dry. It only came with the chicken, some lettuce, and onions. It didn’t even come with rice so we probably won’t be ordering this again — Hyderabad goat biryani: the rice was cooked perfectly, and the goat was juicy and flavorful. Some of the meat had bones, and the meat fell off the bones easily. Pour both of the accompanied sauces on top and you’ve got gold!!! The service was good. They’re located in a shopping plaza with a lot of other Indian restaurants. After dinner, we walked around a bit and noticed that other restaurants are a lot less busy than Bawarchi so that’s a good sign =]. It’s 5% off if you pay cash.
