I went to this restaurant with my fiancé and another friend. We had high hopes for it as the décor was very lush and impressive. The menu looked really good as most of the dishes sounded very enticing to us. We ordered about three to four entrees to share so that we could all try some of the dishes.
The food took awhile to come out but that was understandable as they said they had to cook it fresh. I don’t feel that the food was to my expectation because the food that did come out was not entirely hot throughout. Some of the dishes did seem like they were reheated. Most items tasted okay but simply just OK and not necessarily what we had in mind in terms of flavor and spices. Since this visit, unfortunately, I have not gone back. There are just too many restaurants to try in the local area and I would not necessarily recommend going here again with family or friends.
I would say the biggest plus to this restaurant was that the staff were very nice and very attentive. They are very open to our questions and made suggestions accordingly. I almost feel bad leaving a 2 star review because the service was very good I would say that the two star review would be more for the food quality and the temperature at which it was served.

I called Levant asking about what time they open, I was given wrong information, next day I called in the morning to book a table for my guests. They said OK at 2:00 pm. My guests called the place for directions to hear that they are not open until 4:30pm.
I apologized to my guests and postponed to meet at 4:30pm. We met at the place at 4:30pm. The door was closed and then someone came and told us they will be ready after 5:30pm.
I wanted to give less than zero stars, unfortunately Unilocal does not allow it. Do not trust them!

I don’t understand how this restaurant got so many good reviews on Unilocal.Usually it’s hard to find a restaurant that has so many good reviews like this one does. Please don’t let these reviews fool you. This had to be the worst middle eastern food I’ve ever had. Place was dirty and felt disgusted to eat.

I don’t usually write reviews but I went here once 2 years ago for the Ramadan buffet and went back today and I have to say it was just as good if not better! I live up in north jersey where there are a lot of Middle Eastern restaurants and I tend to avoid them in Ramadan but this place is incredible! The food is delicious and the buffet is packed with a variety of delicious dishes. Great service also and very cost-​effective! If you’re in the Edison area and looking for a great place to break your fast or have dinner I’d check them out!
Oh and for all the Muslims out there they have a prayer room downstairs!

Just had the dinner buffet. Fantastic stuff. Had a giant roasted lamb on bed of some kind of Lebanese flavored rice. Kind of stuff you see in movies. Only gripe they should change the odd fluorescent lighting that makes the food looks like it glows. Owners if you are reading this, switch your lighting from daylight to soft light 3000 degree kelvin or below (don’t worry the folks at Home Depot will understand when you tell them that). Food was great, definitely recommend.

Really great food and wonderful staff. Have been there many times and NEVER left unsatisfied… The people are wonderful and you really can’t go wrong with any dish. My favorite is the chicken chops. The décor is clean and fantastic.

Nice atmosphere. Food was good. It would’ve been better if the beef kebab was more tender. It was a struggle to bite into. The best part were appetizers (meat pie) and deserts. I would go again to try a different dish.

amazing service here, hosted a birthday event in their main hall & everything went perfect thanks to the staff and there was no guest who didn’t enjoy the food. Wonderful ambience, menu, food, service, an amazing place i would recommend to anyone. They made my friend’s birthday and served us with their food that was nothing short of wonderful. Love this place, must visit!

Came here with a big group of friends and again when i brought my mom for a nice dinner during Ramadan. Im a vegetarian so i cant speak for much on the menu… i only get appetizers when i come. The taboula was great. The hummus is really good. The falafel is very mediocre. Spinach pies are decent. If the falafel was better, i would consider coming back. I come from an authentic arab family so im very biased when it comes to middle eastern food. This place simply does not compare. Ambience is very nice and classy. Its not loud, and the servers are great!

Ramadan buffet is delicious, fresh, plentiful and very flavorful! Love the entire experience!

I did the buffet in Ramdan ! Dude it was cheap and honestly they should charge more. But Hey it’s good for business. I went twice in a week. Must Come please at least 4 times to check it out bc it a nice environment place and great Foood !!!

I have been to le vant many many times and have had numerous events here. They have never disappointed. The food is amazing. They have the regular grilled variety as well as authentic middle eastern cuisine. The food is outstanding. The service is outstanding. I was actually there last night for our birthday dinner. They have food set up as buffet during this month. Great variety of foods. They had rice, ground beef and veggies in a tomato sauce, this amazing potato thing (I have no clue what it’s called, but IT WAS DELISH), and way more stuff. All of it was tasty and they made sure to never run out. Over all, great food, great staff, nice ambiance, and good pricing. My favorites there, on the menu, are the salmon entrée (the rice is ridiculously tasty) and their labne appetizer. I have not really had anything there that I would say I disliked.

Staff is very friendly and very nice décor. But the food was very bland like other reviewers said. The meats came out warm like it had been cooked prior to my order. Portions were big. This is a case where they went for quantity over quality

Very disappointed with their special Ramadan Buffet. They did not have enough food and all that was left was rice. Hostess promised to make it up on the next visit. Sorry, but no such luck guys. This was our very last visit.
To add insult to injury: just noticed they add the tip to the bill automatically — for a party of 4. They must have had plenty of people unhappy with the service to the point they just automatically add tip. Shame!

Very nice staff, but this has got to be the blandest Middle Eastern food I’ve ever tasted.
Tough to tell whether the sauce for our felafels was tahini or yogurt. (The staff said it was tahini.)
Schawarma similarly bland and a disappointment.
Portion size was quite healthy, though. Maybe they were just having a bad night…

Good food, good family atmosphere. Lighting a bit dull, but I guess that’s the ambience they want to create. Saw couple of kids, owner’s and wait staff/cook’s running around. Then kids of another family that was dining joined them and they seemed to be having fun.
The lady who was waiting on us was very friendly and suggested things to try the next time seeing I was vegetarian. Chatted with us and said the cooks were from Jordan and Syria. I will surely be back with the kids the next time we go!

Everything here was just absolutely fabulous.
We started with the hummus and it was lemony and garlicky and just perfect.
The owner generously sent over a shepherds salad that was also delectable.
The reason this place gets 4 and not 5 stars is because the portions are a little small. 13 dollar chicken kebab with only 4 pieces. Still a very very very good place, must try.

The overall food was actually pretty good. As a group of 3 we ended up getting an appetizer with hummus, babaganoush, a spicy babaganoush and falafel. For Entrée we shared a mixed BBQ. Overall the food was good. I liked it.
The service in this place was doing pretty good, UNTIL… after paying the bill — there was a man who was not in wait staff uniform — so either a manager or owner — pretty much kicked us out by rudely telling us that we were taking up the table.
I understand if the line is out the door and and people are waiting, that we should probably be courteous and let the next group use it. There was no line. We wanted to sit for a few more minutes and catch up with a friend we haven’t seen in a while. One of the wait staff realized the rudeness of the owner/​manager and asked if we would like to move to the lounge instead — we declined.
What exasperated the issue for me is that earlier in the dinner, the same owner/​manager kicked my chair and never said sorry. I’ll probably never go back there just because that guy was just a jerk.

SUPER impressed by this place! The ambiance is gorgeous and the food is really tasty. We had a large meat platter and appetizer sampler to share between my hungry husband and I. The food was ample and spot-​on with texture and flavors. I thought it was Turkish but believe it’s egyptian-​owned and the food is more Arab-​style.
I will definitely continue to be back. The chicken kebob was great as were the lamb skewers. Perfectly marinated and lovely till the end.
The service is also extremely fast and very friendly.
Check the back room out for events… a really fabulous event space for medium-​sized parties.

Superb quality and service. Best middle eastern lunch menu. The staff is amazing and will consider your requests. Hidden gem in middlesex county.
I go here at least twice a week.
The lunch menu comes with soup and tea… along with the main course…
