Macy’s Bridal Salon by Demetrios

DO NOT ASSOCIATE WITH THESE TERRIBLE PEOPLE.
I wish I could give zero stars. My friend’s fiancé suddenly died, which is hard for her, her sister (MOH), and all of us bridesmaids. Not only have the staff members at Demetrio’s been rude via telephone, they are insensitive in person about the bridesmaids dresses. They have also accused us of fabricating his death in an attempt to get a refund. This is extremely appalling, especially in light of the situation.
I understand that we were not able to get a refund as they were already ordered, which is NOT the issue. The lack of professionalism, and basic human decency, that we as a collective have experienced is disgusting.
Please do not go. Their dresses are available at other salons.

It was the first time I had made an appointment with this salon and I was so excited, however. When I arrived for the appointment the consultant Lisa seemed annoyed when I arrived. Granted we were 10min late, I get that but no welcome gesture. She handed me a pink piece of paper to fill out then showed me to the area where the dresses are.
I told her what I was looking for and it was our first time shopping together as a group (8 bridesmaids) I wanted a lot of options since I’m not set on the same dress for each girl. Her first immediate response was, «since your wedding is in September, you are cutting it close». My first thought was, ok, she’s only interested in making a sale tonight. Prior to my appointment I called ahead an stated that I had a junior and needed something for her to try on if they had it. They said sure no problem we have a couple of dresses. So that was another thing, they didn’t when I got there. They handed me something an adult would wear. Great, thanks!
I’m disappointed because everything that I conveyed a month prior to making that appointment was thrown out the window. I am a super organized person and I wanted everything to go smoothly. And when I got there, they barely knew who I was and what I wanted. Then I felt like all they wanted was to scare me in thinking I won’t get my dresses in time, wtf! You should be kissing my ass to make a sale, not threatening me that I don’t have time.
Plus one of my bridesmaids overheard your consultants talking about a guest they just helped. And not in a good way. So yea, thanks for that because that’s isn’t professional at all.
Upon my leaving, I wasn’t allowed to know what my girls tried on. No style number No picture, nothing. So unfortunately we couldn’t remember what we tried on when we went to another boutique.
Fortunately I found business elsewhere and that person was so catering to our needs. She didn’t question us with orders and delivery times. Super accommodating, thank you Belle Bridals!
Unfortunately for Macy’s Bridals, if you weren’t so concerned about dates and kept the trash talking to yourself, you would have had one hell of a sale. Let’s see, 8 bridesmaids approximately $ 200 each = $ 1,600 plus alterations. Yea sucks for you.

As soon as I met Lisa at the Bridal Salon in Macy’s at the Menlo Park Mall, I knew I was in good hands. She exuded such confidence that I felt I could trust her at once. We chatted for a few minutes about what I was looking for and she dashed around the store pulling gowns she thought would suit me. I couldn’t have gone wrong with any of them, but ultimately, one of the dresses stood apart from the rest – the very first one she had me try on. Lisa is enthusiastic, friendly, and very knowledgeable, offering helpful opinions rather than simply standing back and saying it was up to me. The Bridal Salon at Macy’s may not be the fanciest, but I am going to feel like a princess on my wedding day thanks to Lisa’s exceptional service and eye for style.

The Demetrios Bridal Salon in Menlo Park Mall (Macy’s) was extremely accommodating, helpful and overall a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend this salon as the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable; the prices are also very reasonable. The seamstress Lisa was amazing and I would highly recommend her services to everyone; she is very talented, detail oriented, and it it obvious she loves her work. –Natasha Shapiro
