Tokyo Sushi

Excellent sushi, I really enjoy all the time that I eat here, I really recommend all sushi they serve…

I’ve never encountered tempura shrimp with a heavy coat of breading before. It would have been an interesting change, except that the shrimp did not seem fresh. Portions are generous, but if freshness and authenticity counts for you, then other places may be more authentically Japanese.

What happened with this place?
I had my bf order me a surprise dinner and I was excited to see he ordered me sushi and seafood soup. The delivery was 20 minutes later than the text said, that’s fine, my place is hard to find, no big deal.
The soup was good, liked the flavor, everything was fine. Point for that.
Then I opened my sushi/​sashimi combo… Didn’t the people who do sashimi know how to do it? Isn’t it taught that sashimi isn’t a giant slab of fish meat? What happened with thin layers of fish that melts in your mouth without leaving fish taste? Tuna was chewy and huge pieces, yellowtail was yellow colored and funky flavor to it. Salmon was good, but again a huge chunks of it.
California rolls were good. And point for that.
Is it me or was the soy sauce watered down.
I’m upset, because the price tag is $ 22.00 and if you get sub-​par food, it makes me an angry customer.

i placed a pretty decently sized order for a couple of coworkers and myself for lunch this afternoon. i was pretty stoked because i’d seen decent reviews, noticed the good lunch specials, and delivery? sweet. a shoe-​in to be a favorite for lunch.
it seemed everyone else enjoyed their food but unfortunately for me, i ordered a yellowtail roll that was actually y e l l o w ! i was so surprised, and i gave them a call to let them know that the fish they’d put in my roll was either horribly bad or not yellowtail.
i think the one good experience about this was the customer service. the man on the line promptly apologized and offered a refund which went through almost instantly. i was taken aback – i’d never called a restaurant regarding a bad order so i didn’t even know what i would have followed up my complaint with, since i hadn’t really the intention of asking for a refund. i really did appreciate how helpful and understanding he was of my concern haha.
i won’t be ordering from here again because the quality is a bit dubious, but the delivery was exceptionally fast, and i’d have to say their customer service wasn’t shabby either. sorry, and thanks, tokyo sushi.

I would not order from again. There are other sushi places around with better quality. Some of my sushi had a fishy taste to it, i think it was the scallops in the dynamite roll. Volcano roll was really watery.

Convenient sushi because they are close to my office and deliver. But, not great. Not bad either. But it will do for those times u forget 2 pack a lunch or dont feel like driving

Easily navigate their online ordering, prefer seeing the pictures in their menu though. Delivery time is about 35 – 40 minutes. Nice portion of food, but the quality is not great. I don’t recommend ordering sashimi from them, after eating their sashimi we had some stomach problem as I don’t think their food is fresh including sushi rice. It comes out very mushy texture.
If I am paying the same price for a sushi roll, I might as well stopping by the nearby sushi store called SushiO or by H-​mart for freshly made sushi for a quick Japanese food. H-​mart fresh sushi by the food court you don’t even have to wait, just grab from their front fridge display area, they are so fresh!

Always my go-​to sushi when I visit home. Sushi everywhere else I go just isn’t the same! Fast delivery, great food, good prices. Shrimp mango, Hawaii, Summer and spicy shrimp are my must have rolls. Their Rangoon is the best I’ve had at a sushi place. Wish I could order delivery to Massachusetts!

Have been ordering delivery quite consistently over the last couple of months from here, and while I’ve tried many other places in the area, this is the only place I stick to. I’ve only discovered my love for sushi within the last six months or so and Tokyo Sushi has gotten me completely hooked. Absolutely love their Samurai rolls (seriously, can’t get enough) and everything I’ve ever ordered was delicious and fresh. Their prices are really good and food always arrives in a timely manner. As a matter of fact, I think I shall order some for lunch, today. :)
ETA: Had a bunch of friends come out of town not too long ago and I insisted we grab some take-​out from here. They are all pretty snobby when it comes to sushi and they were /​thoroughly/​impressed and had nothing but good things to say about the food we ordered.

Their Spicy Salmon Rolls are the best. I’ve been ordering from them for a while and each time the quality of sushi has been consistent.

Some of the best Sushi that I’ve tried in Central Jersey. Ordered here a few different times and their sushi never disappoints. Always fresh and extremely flavorful. I’d highly recommend Tokyo sushi to anyone.

The best sushi delivery I’ve had in years — maybe ever! The fish is really fresh and the rolls are varied andbdelicious. Try the Samurai Roll for a crunchy, spicy flavor explosion (no frying involved!). The delivery driver brought all the extra soy sauce I asked for — this never ever happens. I always ask for way too much figuring I’ll *maybe* get one extra, but this place /​driver was awesome. I got all 4 extra soy sauces that I asked for! (Guess I’ll have some extra on hand for my next order!) So — fresh delicious food + awesome and fast delivery = my new favorite sushi restaurant. Yay me!

Did I mention how pleasant the delivery guy is in my last review??? He’s like the delivery guy of all delivery guys!!! He smiles, he’s pleasant and patient, he even closes my door before I get a chance to every time! These people always seem to amaze me. The young woman up front (owner maybe) is sooo helpful! I needed to know what was cooked and what wasn’t specifically (just for my husbands tastes) and she literally went through the menu with me:) I absolutely love this place and anytime I mention sushi my husband immediately says yea I definitely need a dynamite roll and a nj roll

Nice staff and on time delivery, ok food.
I was really impressed that the deliver came exactly when it was supposed to. I was additional relieved to be greeted by a nice delivery driver who could actually find my apartment.
The food was ok, but nothing special. As I don’t really care for the service at midori or ninja I guess by default I’ll order from here for the remainder of my time in New Brunswick.

First off, let me just say that they let me pay for my Gingerale with a euro because I didn’t have any other cash on me.
They are awesome.
Quality is on par with the more expensive places. The lunch specials are REALLY good and affordable. My coworkers and I order from this place all the time.
One time they got our lunch order to us in 20 minutes. That’s 20 minutes from when I clicked to a man handing me food.
They must have a sushi chef in the delivery car or something…

I must say delivery is good and they came in 30 min which is really fast! The deluxe shrimp teriyaki box on the other hand wasn’t that good. I don’t know maybe everyone has there preference but I asked for brown rice and got regular and the veggie tempura was all 1 veggie, sweet potato as well as the Cali roll was warm and the rice was mushy on it. The regular rice was a little weird tasting too. Not sure if I’ll try them again maybe for a shrimp with no rice, salad and spring rolls those were excellent.

The soft shell crab appetizer is great. My whole family enjoys eating here. The food is well prepared with a beautiful presentation.

Average sushi, salad and gyoza. Excellent selection, and our server could not have been nicer even though it’s mostly a take-​out place (4 bar stools and 1 3-​person table). Nothing blew my skirt up, but if i lived in the area, I’d probably be ordering delivery on a semi-​regular basis.

Nice little corner joint with good food.
Love the rolls. Spicy Tuna and Red Dragon are a must try.
Could do with a bit more quantity i mean a roll comes with only 4 or 6 pieces most place have 8 pieces.

This place is good. Convenient location but hard to find parking.
The sushi is really good. Philadelphia roll and spicy crab roll are both delicious. The fish was very fresh and the rice was nice and soft. The miso soup was good too wish I had gotten more scallions in it. Oh and the seaweed in it was not soft, had a toughness to it but not so bad.
Not much to say. The staff is very sweet. The place is small but has a sushi bar and two tables to sit at. They have interesting special rolls and their lunch special is priced very well. Two rolls for $ 6.95. They make the food quick too. I would probably come back.
