I have been eating here for years. I love their grain bread, it is the best. They have lots of good things on their menu but my favorite is the chicken breast sandwich.

I love having brunch or lunch here. Dinner was great too, don’t get me wrong, I just love their brunch and lunch menu. Best in Edmond for sure. We have always had excellent service here, and the food comes out right every time. The seasonal dishes are great and it seems like they put a lot of thought on what to put on their menu.

Very unimpressed by Café 501. From the beginning, it was a very awkward experience. We weren’t quite sure whether we were supposed to seat ourselves, order at the register, etc. Answer is, you order at the register, then seat yourselves. The coffee bar is way in the back, and to find the mugs and sugar, was not very obvious. The coffee bar was in a separate location from where you get the soft drinks. I had the huevos rancheros, the meat was very dry, and really didn’t have much flavor. My husband had the French toast which wasn’t anything special. I could have gone to McDonald’s and gotten the same quality. Sadly, we won’t be back.

The tomato basil soup is amazing! Also, the pizza is pretty top notch. A great Edmond restaurant.

Favorite café in Edmond! The bread pudding is delicious, and I love the portable mushroom sandwich. It has a light bread and great flavor! Be prepared for a line if you go during the height of lunch. That is my only complaint; it is so good that it is popular.

I ate there(Edmond Location) this afternoon and was quite pleased. Food is excellent and has been every time I’ve been there. Service was excellent. I can’t say the same for the Triangle location though. I have been treated with disrespect by hostesses in the past and have not gone back for some time.

I always love eating with friends at Café 501 both in Edmond and OKC! Yesterday we ate at the Edmond location. One of my friends had the crab and shrimp enchiladas. It looked so good. I haven’t ever tried their pizza so I chose the vegetable pizza; it was really great with a light crust. Last time I was here I really enjoyed the Vegetable Stack; a terrific choice for a vegetarian… so good! My husband had the Chile Relleno; he said it was really tasty. They have a fantastic dessert case… very hard to pass up! Great ambience and low noise… a delight!

I really enjoy Café 501. They have great portion sizes. Not too much or too small. I’ve mostly gone for lunches. I really enjoy the tomato basil soup and the turkey sandwich. The flavors are great. Also, this is the only place I will ever eat carrot cake. It’s the best carrot cake I’ve ever had, hands down.

My family and I went here for Sunday brunch. The food was really good, but the service was terrible. The waitstaff was really disorganized, extremely slow, and no one seemed like they really cared to be there. No one was particularly rude, it was just like no one cared. I’d probably give the food a 4 – 5 star rating on its own.

First time here. Nice atmosphere, really good neighborhood café vibe. Saturday breakfast and I had Huevos Rancheros and a cappuccino. Coffee was good. Rancheros were very well done. Nice presentation, fresh ingredients, spice was spot on, pork was excellent. I will definitely be back. It’s a little pricey at $ 16 for one person. Might skip the cappuccino next time and get plain coffee. Overall a good spot for a breakfast, and that’s not their specialty. Excited to try them for brunch, dinner and drinks!

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get around to reviewing Café 501, because I love it. The Edmond location is near MPOW and with the lovely ambiance + good food, it is my go-to when we have visitors(interview candidates, vendors, etc) during lunchtime. I’ve never heard a complaint about it! It’s the perfect place for this because a) the food is good b) the ambiance is lovely and c) there’s usually something for everyone to enjoy! It’s doubtful that there’s a bad meal to be had here. I’ve enjoyed the seasoned tilapia tacos and grilled tomato & cheese with tomato-basil soup as well as their absolutely delicious fork and knife breakfast burrito(sans sausage) with the most delectable hash browns. The menu is extensive, so choosing just one thing is hard. And vegetarians, take note! Café 501 has plenty of veg-friendly options and will take meat off when asked. Definitely give Café 501 a try.

Original, local and good food — however if you are looking for a warm, welcoming place — forget it. The food is very authentic and tasty but the attitude of the staff at this location is terrible. It took 10 min for someone to even bring us menus another 15 to get a glass of water. The minute the waiter saw that we didn’t want to order drinks he lost all interest in us. We had 2 young children who got so restless at the end of the meal — who wouldnt??? Absolutely pathetic staff — it took an hour and half to get fed– we basically got served by 4 different ppl the entire time — you couldn’t pay me to ever go back to this uppity stuck up place. If you don’t mind an indifferent staff and decent original food Café 501 Edmond it is!!!

Why 4 stars? Because as Sarah said, «this place is just lovely.» — — — CM’s think alike — she took the words right out of my fingers. The drill at Café 501 is that one person in your party goes hunting for an open table, while the others wait in line to order at the counter. Or at least, that’s the most efficient way to do it :) My Thai burrito was solid, but my favorite part of the experience was found in the desserts. Our party shared a bunch of things, and all I can tell you is that I wanted more. Café 501 was the very first meal I’ve ever eaten in Oklahoma, so that’s something.

Granola– divine. Baked goods(to go) — pretty good. Chkn salad sandwich(half) –juicy & flavorful(great bread). Pear-balsamic salad-great! Would have labeled 3.5, but for service. Counter ordering can be a real chore at lunch, backed up on my visit. Moreover, ordered cookie & apple pie to go. Girl was busy, I asked if she’d bring items to table. Meanwhile the«sold» the last of the cookie variety I ordered to a «to go» order. Announced it to me 15 mins later. I’m an adult – I can deal w not getting my first choice of cookies. But still, along with the chaos at the front, that’s a half star down.

I come here twice month and I absolutely love their lunch menu! I love their tomato basil soup and with bread pieces. I love coyote chicken hot sandwich. The pasta that comes with meal is good too. The pizza is okay, and it’s small size. The dessert is delicious! I love the cakes and pecan bars are delicious. Although little over price for a slice or full cake, it’s worth it :) I have tried their brunch menu as well! Definitely love the breakfast burrito. Gets real busy during lunch time, so come maybe like an hour after lunch time to avoid the crowd. Very clean café. Service is excellent.

This place is just lovely. This is the original 501 location and is still my favorite. From the hole in the wall feel to the comfortable yet nice ambiance this place is has it goin’ on. Grab a menu — looking at the board can be overwhelming. There are so many great menu items and ingredients featured you don’t want to miss. You order upfront then grab a seat to your liking. However, there are still servers so make sure you tip! The menu is a smörgåsbord of nice salad, sandwich and soup options. I highly recommend the portobello mushroom sandwich. It’s hearty with excellent flavor. PROTIP: Get a bag of granola and I apologize in advance for the addiction. Also, the coffee is self-serve and is kind of awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant.

I love Café 501. The food is delish, although their prices are a bit steep. I guess I should preface this review by saying I have only eaten here for lunch and continue to order the same thing because I like it so much. My favorite thing to get is their pick two combo: for $ 11 you pick between salad, soup, or half a sandwich. There are multiple options, but I seem to always gravitate towards the spinach salad and club sandwich. The spinach salad is spinach greens, tossed in a creamy vinaigrette and topped with an abundant amount of thick cut, good quality bacon, big chunks of creamy blue cheese, and freshly candied, wonderfully sticky pecans. So yummy! It is an explosion of flavors in my mouth. The club sandwich is pretty straight forward: ham, turkey, bacon, but then they get crazy and add guacamole and sprouts. I love sprouts, and not too many places offer them. They are the red headed step child of sandwiches; no body includes them, but yet they are amazing. Although the food is great, I still think $ 11 is still a bit too expensive for salad and a half sandwich, because it doesn’t even include a drink. They offer your basic sodas, plus delicious fresh brewed flavored tea(both green and black). Café 501 has some pretty amazing looking desserts, although they are also pretty pricey. My dining companion pointed out that an entire carrot cake costs $ 55! What?! Carrots are crazy cheap, that kind of blows my mind. Regardless, the desserts are good. They offer pretty tasty cookies, cupcakes, slices of cakes, and cake balls. I guess I think it is odd that Café 501 is so pricey considering it is a counter service restaurant. It would be one thing to pay $ 11 for a combo for a fancy, sit down restaurant, but Café 501 makes you do most of the work. You order at the counter, get a number, go get your own drink, find a table, and then someone brings your food. Just a bit high, but it is definitely worth it every now and then. I like the atmosphere, it is a great lunch place.
