Closed at the end of December 2014. They are reopening in 2015 in the Fremont/Wallingford area according to the owner. Bummer as this was one of the cool spots in Edmonds.

Time to swing back around and see if Milltown had changed since my last review, and I’m happy to say that there has been movement. Although no change in the atmosphere/décor, the food is much better and things like crab cakes and meatballs are made on-site. The food focus seems to be on Small Plates, priced decently enough that you can get a few to share at the table. We did and enjoyed the three we split. Service remains as I remembered it from before. Very friendly and knowledgeable, but not super attentive. The server/bartender spent a lot of time behind the bar doing something with his phone instead of checking on the very few tables that were occupied, resulting in us overhearing one table opt to go elsewhere for dinner, and a second just went to the bar direct to order. We only had to flag the server down twice. Given that maybe we were just there on an off night, I’m happy that Milltown is back on my circulation and we’ll certainly be back.

I am just hanging out at the bar while I wait for a friend to go out on the town. I lucked out in finding this place before I Unilocaled it because I know why it is rated so high! I just love this place! The great friendly service, perfect intimate small town lighting, eclectic theme, and very comfortable. Right away I felt at comfort and relaxed here. They have an amazing beer, liquor, and wine selection for such a small venue. I hope to come back again to try their foods next time! Clean, friendly, helpfully, attentive, relaxing, well stocked bar. Very nice place to hang out. Wish they were closer to my house so I could visit often… sad. Love it! What more can I say?

Quiet spot right in the middle of Edmonds. Great food. Nice selection of beers, even Irish Death. We had a chicken quesadillas with a corn, chile salsa, a grilled prosciutto, cheese, greens sandwich and a cobb salad. All gave thumbs up in our group. They prep everything on sight. Owner has huge restaurant background, having restaurants in North Seattle and Monroe, both featuring fish. This time around, he offers lots of small plates and larger plates of «pub» foods with a twist. Anyway, it’s a great alternative to the other choices in Edmonds. Plus, it’s easier on your wallet in comparison. So, what’s to lose? Good food at a god price = great value. Plus, they’re open later(10pm). Now, working couples can grab a late night meal, something not easily accomplished in Edmonds on a week day.

Milltown lounge is very laid back and comfortable — two large couches with pairs of arm chairs, a few booths, the bar, and tables in the back to suit every type of customer. They make it a point to put classic cocktails on their menu and with good reason. My friends that ordered the French 75 were very happy, as I was with the old fashioned I had been craving. In fact, we loved them so much we returned a few days later to have more. I’ve only encountered one server here. Very attentive on my first visit but a little sporadic on my second(in their defense, it was pretty busy). The same server is also friendly, but not overly energetic. A little timid. Basically the best human character to represent the character of Milltown Lounge. Milltown is a place you can visit by yourself, with friends, or on a relaxed date. They have a decent selection of food(the feta fries and pork tacos are delicious but received mixed reviews on the sandwiches from my friends) and their drinks, again, are fantastic. It seems that in recent years, Edmonds has been experiencing a boom in new, intriguing, and quality establishments. Milltown quickly moved to the«top 5» for me, and before long may just be my favorite.

We love this place so very much! Special drinks, good food and wonderful ambience. Oh, and they make the best Mai tai north of Trader Vic’s :)!

We’ve been coming here off and on since it opened and I can honestly say I’ve consistently had outstanding food here. My most recent trip consisted of sampling several dishes. The edamame was great. The lamb pita contained the most tender meat I’ve had in a long time. The pastrami sliders were tasty and had just the right about of sauce and spice. The only thing that left me wanting was the feta fries. It lacked a refined taste that I normally get, missing the garlic and parsley I expected. Everything else I’ve ever had here has been great!

I really held out coming here because I was seriously butt hurt that the Winged Pig is no longer in business, and this is what replaced it. One day, BF and I couldn’t find a suitable Edmonds business for date night. Either live music was playing(dislike!) or closed for repairs, or just packed ass to ankles. I relented and we finally went in to Milltown. I really should have given this place a chance! The décor is adorable and spacious. Bartenders seem pretty attentive, and make great drinks. We are obsessed with their Old Fashions and a cocktail they make called the«Corpse Reviver». Delicious! The drinks are reasonably priced for what they are. A great date spot. I can’t say much about the food, as we’ve just gotten snacks. I will say the curried cashews are great for bar food! The menu is reminiscent of Winged Pig, but with less cheese. We will definitely be back!

We’ve been here twice, and both times been the only people in the restaurant, which is shocking considering we’ve had such good experiences with the food and cocktails. Ambiance is nice — cozy and comfortable and something I’m looking forward to as we move into the darker, colder months. Both times we’ve ordered the thai pork sandwich because we can’t fathom NOT ordering it! We also had the curried peanuts and the garlic prawns, which were both fantastic. Only thing holding it back from 5 stars is that despite the emptiness, we still had longer-than-average waits for both food and drinks.

This place is AWESOME! After Demetris«lost» my reservation for a group of 16 people for my girlfriend’s birthday, we high-tailed it over to Milltown Lounge, and took over the place. There were only two people working the front of the house; needless to say, our group took them to beyond swamped. Even though we swamped them, they were SUPER nice the entire night, the cocktails were absolutely amazing every time, and the food was simply delicious. I am very happy to see a place like this in Edmonds, and we will definitely be back for more!

Sweet and sophisticated. On the pricier side, but the food/drinks are elegant and worth it.

Like the ambience of this place, the service was SPOTON, quick helpful and very friendly. It might have helped that we where sitting at the bar, but afterward we cozied up on one of the couches in the eating area, watched football and just chillaxed. The food was VERY good!

The Pig has finally transformed to the Milltown Lounge and for the better. Now the owner is the Chef and knows the way in the kitchen. Kitchen has been redone for the best and it does now look like a working Kitchen. The menu looks like a real food menu and kept it simple. The Bartenders are very chill and Bartender Kristina knows the way of the bar and make great drinks. I am very happy for the new change and hope they do very well, only thing that i wish was if they started a Happy hour soon.

I’m going to skew high on this place, and I’ll explain why, because it might not be exactly what everybody’s looking for: Laid-back vibe: Comfortable, casual seating. Feels like a living room. Great beer selection. Just 8 taps, but well-chosen for mainstream drinkers and the more adventurous alike. Quite a few good things in cans and bottles. Looks like a great wine and cocktail lineup too. Mellow service. You feel like you’re at a friend’s house. Welcoming. Decent pub grub. We had sliders, tacos, and a killer cheese plate. Reasonable prices. These things together make for a great watering hole for me. I can appreciate how much more johnny-on-the-spot the service is at the places that are more jumpin’, but I actually love not having to wait for a table or a stool. And in the Edmonds bowl, there just isn’t a place with good food and good beer where I’ve had immaculate service every time. Daphne’s comes closest, but their menu is, I think, exactly one item long. Demitri’s and Five make a great effort and serve great food, but I’ve had some interminable waits for routine things there. I’d say The Loft and Epulo come closest, but I like the value at the Milltown a little more, so I’m leaving this place right in the mix for when I go get one in Edmonds. This place has a cool little courtyard out front – yep, construction is finally finished. Seating, plants, beautiful western exposure that makes the most of sunny summer evenings. Inside, the layout is exactly the same as The Winged Pig was. It’s been the Milltown since January of 2012, but they still have a pig with wings right inside the front door. There’s still a dutch door at one end, and there’s still the rabbit warren of one bar and two dining rooms that feel like living rooms. There are restaurant-style tables for two and four, and there are wingback chairs and davenports for those looking to relax a little more thoroughly. I love places that pull off this living room vibe without being too obvious about it. It’s a bit of a labyrinth when it’s not crowded; you’re zig-zagging between furnitureses. But when it fills up a bit, everybody has their own area, which is nice. The food is plenty solid. The corned beef sliders were a cool, tasty snack, and so were the shredded pork tacos. The real star was the cheese and meat plate, though. For $ 14, you actually get $ 14 worth of cold cuts, almonds, and some very well-edited cheese selections, along with some small rounds of french bread. There are a couple of flat screens showing the game at civilized volumes. This is a great place to come get a pint and eat well while you enjoy it. They do a good job of searching out interesting kegs to pour, because these guys used to run a brewery(Twin Rivers in Monroe). It’s a very laid-back place, and that puts it right where I want it.

Tried it for the first time last night. We’d never been to the Winged Pig but had heard good things about the Milltown Lounge. We had a cocktail, a beer and four small plates for about $ 55. The tapenade and hummus plate was the star of the show. A mound of hummus with four spoons of tapenade on each corner, sprinkled with feta cheese and garnished with cucumbers. It was great. We also had the garlic cajun prawns and, while the sauce was OK I thought the prawns were cooked well. We also has the gouda plate, which was fine but the presentation was underwhelming; just a big block of cheese on a plate with some bread. The service was s-l-o-w. It was 45 minutes to bring it all out. There was only one guy working the entire room and the bar. It was a sunny day but not hot, and I found it surprisingly warm in there. On the plus side the seating is nice and comfortable, the background music is not too loud and the TV’s are high enough to not be annoying if you want to ignore them. I think it’s a good place to go if you’re not in a hurry. Too bad they don’t have outdoor service or seating, because the recently redesigned Milltown courtyard is very nice.

I love it. I never went when it was the Winged Pig, so I can’t compare. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of of Milltown Lounge. Edmonds has so a number of small, quaint tapas/bistro type restaurants but sadly they always seem cramped. Milltown Lounge offers a comfortable atmosphere without feeling like you’re rubbing elbows with every stranger in the bar. We’ve gone twice now and each time, not a single complaint. The menu is fair with a wide range for any pallet. The plates are fair priced and sized and allow for sharing. We had Gorgonzola stuffed dates wrapped in bacon(was a special that week, but I hope they add it to the menu), pork tacos that were so fresh, BBQ Sliders(had to order a second round), and also the Sausage Sandwich. All of the food is fresh and not fried. I’m certain they don’t have a deep fryer. I think to really sum up the Milltown Lounge, it’s like the Coffee Shop from the show Friends, but has booze and great food. It’s easy to spend some time there with great friends and family. I’m very glad to have another great place in Edmonds and will continue to support Milltown Lounge.

The Winged Pig is now The Milltown Lounge. Same place and a few of the same staff. What has changed? There is a new paint job that slicks the place up.(The big pig mural is gone, but thats A-Ok by me). There are still the comfy chairs and tables. A cute cozy nook in the back which is great for a small party. I love the beautiful tiled bar and the cocktails actually taste like booze! YIPEE! Adult cocktails are being made. Not the typical” how sweet can I make my drink so I dont taste the alcohol because its yucky and Im barely 21″ concoctions. The Menu has been expanded so you can go for a meal, not just a bar snack. In a perfect world Id be at The Milltown Lounge once a week, if not more
