My dad was the owner of this restaurant and I use to help out a lot. The restaurant was always packed for lunch on the weekdays and packed for dinner on the weekends. I use to bust my hump for the customers. I’m not just saying this, but the Phở was amazingly good. Although I felt we kinda cheated our customers on the veggies and meat, people still enjoyed the food and it didn’t seem like most of them noticed. The restaurant served rice plates, vermicelli dishes, and sandwiches also. Those were pretty good. Sadly, most of our customers would have to fight for the sandwiches since we only buy about 20 baguettes a day. Phở Five Star is missed by all and maybe one day we’ll revive the business. Until then, good luck to everyone on finding a better Phở restaurant!!!

I loved this Phở restaurant dearly when I lived across the street, and I’m really sad it’s closed down. The owner was a kind older gentleman who always could make me smile. The Phở was really hearty and deliciously flavored. They also had amazing sandwiches for cheap! The tea was awesome, and I loved that they’d always give me a yummy homemade cream puff for dessert. It always hit the spot on a rainy or snowy Seattle day. I miss you Phở Five Star!

Sadly they closed up shop, we hadn’t been here in ages, personally I think this strip mall is haunted…

Where’s your online menu yo? I’m scrambling around for it and can’t seem to find it anywhere online cause I wanted to know if they have vietnamese sandwiches. Well, I’ve been here twice and absolutely love it. So much that I day dream about the phở when I’m away, and want more all day every day. And the day I would want to finally make my way over there, they’re CLOSED… Don’t make me go look for an alternative phở place cause I’ve got two other ones in my ‘hood.

I’ve lived away from the greater Seattle area for about 3 years now, and this is what I miss the most. Consistently good, so tasty, amazing service, and great location. I’m hooked. EVERYTHING I’ve had there is incredible. Nuff said.

Probably the best phở I’ve had in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area. Three different sizes to choose from, and a broad selection of meat too(even tendon meat for all you die-hards). The price is also awesome, as a gigantic bowl will only set you back $ 6. Even after getting my fill I still had an entire bowl left for the next day in leftovers. Be warned… they only take cash or checks. But don’t let that deter you. Your stomach will thank me later.

Cash only. Well, they take checks, but not plastic. Be prepared. It’s possible that the only reason I don’t give them five stars is because their name is a little pushy about that. Given that this place sits on a five-corner intersection, I have been thinking for years that it was called Five Corners Phở. So maybe I am docking them because I liked that misunderstood name better. Anyway, point being, this place sits right on the verge of being a five star phở place, and rounding up wouldn’t be a stretch. We’ll see what repeat visits can do. It’s a modest little corner spot, plenty of big windows, smells good, simple tables and booths. The usual little waterfall dioramas and other bric a brac dots the counters. Windows are kinda steamy on a winter day, even when it’s not crazy cold outside. I like that. The service is friendly, they’re cheerful and chuckling when they can’t take your plastic. The menu is pretty much full-on; there’s banh mi on there along with all kinds of other goodness. The sauces on the table are good; the chili paste comes with a teeny tiny spoon. Not sure if they’re watching costs there, encouraging you not to overseason their soup, or maybe they just like little spoons. The soup is always where it’s at, though. Their broth is fairly light, almost clear, and fairly softly flavored. All the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The flank slices here are a bit thicker than elsewhere. The condiments are in great shape, and they give you a bunch of lime wedges instead of just one. Good stuff.

Good Phở! Very friendly people. Get the sandwich if they have bread. Ntofu extra tofu is my standard order. The servings are huge — don’t go above small unless you are eating for two or something.

Great place to eat the owner is always there and super friendly. As a bonus the Phở is good too! If you’re in the area and looking for some good fast food this is a great choice.

So good! Their phở is fantastic — some of the best I’ve found in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area. It’s interesting because when I was up in Bellingham, I ate phở all the time, but upon returning to Edmonds I barely eat phở. Phở Five Star reminded me that phở is one of my favorite comfort foods(after potatoes), I’m hooked! I’ll definitely return!

This is my friend’s parent’s restaurant… so I may be slightly partial. However, you can see from the other reviews of this restaurant that others agree with me. I think the phở is really good and the owners are fantastic! The restaurant is clean and the food always comes out quickly.

Awesome phở, if you’re willing to brave sexaul harassment from the landscaping crew… Be sure to pick up cash at the ATM next door. This place is a delicious and quick option for dine in or carry out. They are super friendly and their phở is delicious. They only take cash but the convenience store next door has an ATM. The restaurant is very clean with seating options for small or larger groups. However: They need to pass on to whoever hires the landscaping people to find different contractors. Sexually harrassing female customers is not ok. I’m not talking about just one unwanted comment; this guy was very aggressive, following me to my car. He moved into my personal space while I was messing with my keys, demanding to know why I wasn’t responding to him. I doubt he would have hurt me in the middle of a busy mid day parking lot, but it was still really unpleasant. This is really bad for all the businesses there, and also worrying due to the close proximity to the high school– I’m sure they get a lot of business from students and that could be very frightening for teenage girls. Obviously this not the restaurant’s fault, but it could still hurt their business. I’ll definitely be coming back to Phở 5 Star, but only on days no one is trimming the hedges.

Love this place! Been going there for years and years and finally thought to write a review. I took a trip to Vietnam recently and found there is little difference between this restaurants phở and the«real deal» in country. The owners and staff are always quick and friendly and never leave you waiting for anything. Good to note that this is a cash or check only place!

Best Phở around! The food is great and inexpensive, it’s clean and the owners are great! Very attentive. You will never have to ask for water or tea because they refill it faster than you can drink it. I LOVE this place! Cash or check only!

I really like small restaurants like this, organized, very clean, modest and down to earth. Not all Phở restaurants offer options for vegetarians, here they have several possibilities, the soup we tried included very fresh ingredients, unlike other shops it was not too salty, a bit of chili paste was just right. The service was attentive and warm. Next time we will try the Phở, and I’ll try to update this review. We look forward to stop in again and again.

Fast, friendly service, ordered the chicken Phở to go… it was ready in about 2 minutes! About $ 7.00 for more Phở then I will be able to eat in three meals! Thank you Lord for such a great place so close to my house! I will be back all the time. I also want to echo other reviewers that mention how nice the people are there, I was greeted as I walked in the door, was told thank you many times, I just couldn’t be happier or more full!

I went here with my daughter last weekend. I had never had Phở but had heard it was good. She had the skewered chicken, and I had the combination phở. Both were excellent, and I have to say that the people there were the nicest owners I have seen in a long time. The whole family was saying goodbye to us as we were leaving like we were long lost friends. I will definately be back to support this restaurant.

I love this place. The owners are very nice, the service is quick, and as mentioned, your tea cup will never get empty. The phở is the best around. I lived on the stuff when I lived in San Francisco and worked in the tenderloin district, and this is the best I have had since then. It beats the Than Brothers in terms of quality, taste, and price. The atmosphere isn’t great, but the phở is.
