I’ve been to a couple of Rusty Pelicans now, and having recently moved to Edmonds, I was happy to find one near. Their food isn’t cheap, but it’s excellent quality. Best bacon I’ve found in this area. The staff has always been exceptionally friendly and attentive. Last time I was there, I got a free piece of pie for my birthday! So far, I’ve liked everything I’ve eaten there. The atmosphere is comfortable, and though the space in Edmonds isn’t huge, there’s plenty of room once you’re seated. There is only street parking or paid parking lots in the area. The street parking is all on a time limit(but at least it’s still free).

I was in a hurry and the place was packed. I wanted to place an order and I did so with out any problems. My food was EXCELLENT!!! and the service was speedy, so I was able to get back on the road. I will most definitely be going back when I have more time.

I feel that this review is long overdue. I went with group of girlfriends for brunch, and enjoyed it enough to bring back my family. As I have Celiac Disease, and therefore must not eat gluten, eating out can be stressful. Not only are gluten-free items explicitly marked for convenience, but every server has not only been knowledgeable, but offered to swap out glutenous toast for seasonal fruit. Not only is all the food delicious, but the portion sizes are quite large! I would recommend their omelettes, from which I’ve tried the Sombrero and the Greek. The décor is also quite lovely and beach themed, which is fitting. Just make sure you check out when their peak hours are. They are popular(for good reason), and you might have to wait for a seat otherwise. Overall, a great breakfast/brunch spot, and Celiac/gluten-free friendly.

I came here for breakfast with my bridesmaids last week. After a long morning of dress fittings, we were starved! One of my girlfriends recommended we go here and I am so glad she did! The food is delicious, comfort, breakfast food. They have other options for lunch too but I believe they are known for their yummy breakfast. I got their one of their healthy dishes with eggs on toast with yogurt and fruit and the cinnamon swirl french toast. It was absolutely perfect. The food coming quick as it did was nice too. When us girls get together, we get pretty loud with our laughter and the restaurant being pretty loud already, no one seemed to notice. I will most definitely be back!

The Rusty Pelican serves a good breakfast — I had salmon Benedict — a thick slice of smoked salmon instead of ham. The salmon was pretty salty, and the béarnaise sauce bland(remade from a package?), but none-the-less, good enough. The Earl Grey tea I ordered came in a teapot, which was nice. So I’d say the food was fine, if undistinguished. The staff was friendly and efficient. What I really didn’t like about the restaurant was the décor — everything was rather feminine and the heavy hand of an interior designer was evident. All the colors matched. There were faux antique finishes and wallpaper, seashore knick-knacks and striped upholstery right out of HGTV. This was a décor designed for women. The feminine touches even extended to the men’s bathroom. So I don’t think I’ll be back, even though there’s really nothing wrong … it’s just that there’s little that’s compelling either about the food or the atmosphere.

This has become my new go to place for breakfast/brunch! Been here a few times already, and the food/drinks have been yummy in my experience but I’ve only ordered breakfast thus far. There’s still a bunch of things on the menu I have yet to try so I will definately be back! The only downfall is sometimes there’s a long wait(makes me «hangry»!), and the 2 seater tables seem too small(or maybe we order too much food for just 2 people?). Otherwise, service has been good, parking hasn’t been a problem, and its in a cute part of Edmonds =)

The staff were nice but the food tasted weird, especially the eggs. Doesn’t seem like simple breakfast foods should be that difficult to prepare, but our order took a long time and didn’t turn out that great. Street parking only, which can be difficult. I’d honestly rather go to Denny’s.

Bloody marys were a delicous start to our breakfast; so rich and delicous. The dungeness crab cake… OMGSOGOOD! I could go on but in all, its def worth a visit. And very affordable.

Decided to hop the ferry over to Edmunds on a Unilocal-venture and found that a search for«best brunches» landed us at the Rusty Pelican. Called ahead and put my name on the list for a 40min wait to get a table(call ahead always here). Once we got a table we were delighted with the selection of brunch options and multiple additions of a creative inspiration. I had the fiesta skillet and she had the California scramble… Wow! a hearty American breakfast meal with nothing held back. My expectations were well met with a good doggy bag to take home. The staff was wonderfully helpful and service was notably fast for full dining room capacity(and those waiting). It’s a great place and one that I shall return to again.

Went here for Breakfast one Saturday morning and overall I thought the food was very average. Nothing about really blew me away. The atmosphere and aura of the restuarant is nice and homey. Very much like you are at a beach pub or restaurant and I did enjoy that. If you are going for really good breakfast food though I wouldn’t recomment coming here.

The food and the portions were awesome! You definitely get your money’s worth, but the waitress Shiloh definitely gave us the cold shoulder. I’m not sure if it’s because my two friends and I are teenagers, but we were nothing but polite to her. Food was delicious, but service left a bad taste in all of our mouths. If I go back I will specifically ask not to be seated in her area for fear of similar treatment. I’ve since been back to much better service! And got a very polite and courteous response to this review from a worker at the restaurant! They definitely know how to compensate and I’ll surely be back for more

A little slow because they are busy but clean atmosphere and good spins on their menu. The crabmeat omelet was tasty.

I would rate this place more like 3.5. The proportions are very large. I had an omelette and could only eat half. I love pancakes so I ordered them with my omelette. I was a bit disappointed with them, they we very«rubbery» like the kind you make from store bought mix. My husband had the salmon eggs benny and he said he loved it. This place is small and my husband noticed that the sound barriers on the ceiling they painted the same color as the ceiling paint which basically renders them completely ineffective. So the sound on a sunday morning was quite loud. The server was ok too. I understand they were busy but the gal serving us was kind of awkward for some reason…

Great place for breakfast. Family loves it. Though I learned today that since they close at 3pm if you show up around 2pm, you may feel a bit rushed. Plates cleared rapidly, dessert options offered with drink orders. Direct requests about payment. Too bad since I had always felt welcome and comfortable here before.

We have been here twice now, and while the food and menu selection is strong, both times I couldn’t believe how much we ended up paying for breakfast. $ 50+ for two adults and a toddler seems like a lot, even though portions are large. I’ll be exploring other breakfast spots in the area before returning again.

The experience we had today was absolutely terrible. If you have a group larger than 4 you will be screwed over. We made reservations a week in advance for a party of 11. When half of our party showed up a little early they said they wouldn’t seat us until our party was all there. We had a couple people coming from Puyallup and Tacoma that were about 15 minutes behind schedule and instead of being patient or understanding they decided to give away our table even when I told them that our party was parking. 2 minutes before we were all standing in front of the establishment. If they had waited just two more minutes they would have had happy customers but they chose to break off our reservation and mess up the day of 11people. This is the worst service I’ve experienced in Edmonds. It is normal for large parties to have people lagging behind. The fact you wouldn’t even seat us for drinks or anything was unacceptable. I suggest if you are coming to Edmonds for breakfast you go down the street to Clair’s who had better food and sat us in 10 minutes.

They had cookies while you waited which was great. The portions were huge and they had a bomb mango mimosa. Service was good for how insanely crowed this place was. Both times I have seen it the line has been out the door.
