We had dinner last night here and had really had good meals. The lemon vinaigrette was yummy and the Sticky Toffee pudding was sublime. I have no complaints about the service, which was great, in fact everyone was friendly and very pleasant. I’ve seen this restaurant through it’s many changes and iterations over the last 20 years and my only reason for giving it 4 stars is that it’s so big now that I miss the more intimate place it used to be. It feels very much a «family» restaurant and almost«cafeteria» in it’s openness. It’s not easy to find a grown up and elegant restaurant in the valley and we seem to have lost another one. I could have worn jeans and a fleece jacket. If that’s what you’re looking for, I highly recommend it.

One of our«go to» restaurants in the Vail Valley. The food, the atmosphere and especially Mickey the pianist are exceptional.

Just had another fabulous meal on the patio overlooking a spectacular golf course with gentle water display along side the patio. Cannot beat this atmosphere for dinner or lunch. I personally Rank it as on of the best mountain view patios in the Vail valley. Great food and service as well. The Vista landscaping team has done a stellar job with the annual color and beautiful combinations.

Brought some family who were visiting from out of town to Vista tonight. This place is amazing. Mickey Pogue played the piano while the snow fell on the beautiful golf course. Upscale rustic décor, beautiful fireplace and the food was AMAZING from appetizers to dessert. This experience cannot be duplicated by any other restaurant in the valley, I will be returning.

This was hands down one of the best experiences we’ve had on our trip to the beaver creek area. The staff was friendly, the views– incredible. The specialty cocktails– outstanding. The piano player adds a sophisticated touch to the dining experience. We enjoyed the lobster ravioli and salmon entrée — both dishes perfectly prepared. Note– it’s definitely more«mature» clientele with«a mountain vibe» but nonetheless a special dining experience! Looking forward to our next dining visit!

Pasta was over cooked, and this is not kid friendly despite it saying so on Unilocal.Dirty looks from staff at our boys. Calamari was good as was the wine of course. Our waiter was not attentive and the managers helped us more than he did. Do not order the cheesecake. Too sweet and more like a pudding. I’d pick somewhere else next time.

I have been here about ten times. Lately, I have been mountain biking Beaver Creek Mountain and going here after to eat and have a beer. Each time, I have been dirty(even a little bloody one time) and dressed in biking gear. This restaurant is at a country club. They treated me well despite my looks, and the owner(Jeanine) even introduced herself and her chef husband and she remembered me and what I ate today when I returned. Soup today(lamb minestrone with pesto) was the best I have ever eaten. Sean, waiter today, was really nice and a good guy. Mussels also AWESOME! Great bread and snacks at the bar. Highly recommended. I also go to Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch and Park Hyatt Beaver Creek on these bike rides and this place is my favorite.

The view is delightful, a well groomed flower bedecked golf course on one side and a large pond with multiple waterfalls, green. the manager should sit at each table to check out the view as some large potted flowerpots block the view when you sit down. Our server, Ali, was just so special. The Caprese salad was awesome, presented like no other, garnished with a plethora of really great olives and a delicious no-nut pesto. Next time, I would request no raw onions-but that is me. The lobster ravioli with corn and peas and mint were a refreshing change from the Vail valley sameness. Same for the Florentine dish, note that the vegetables were diced very small and contributed to flavor but not eye appeal or mouth feel. Tasted just like Italy – a bit salty there and at Vista so I decided the chef must have a lot of experience in Italy. They brought a nice little dish of Parmesan cheese on request. The gnocchi were the only flaw. We dined on Sunday and they must have been leftover. It was a shame as they were some of the lightest I had ever had, but they were clearly reheated in a frying pan and SCORCHED! The server took them off the bill. If you order this side, ask if they are fresh or reheated. Desserts looked awesome but we were too tired so skipped. Almost forgot, around 6:30, a great piano player came in and played jazz versions of romantic songs. We would come back just for the view and the caprese salad and staff! We came on 25% off, but did not find the prices expensive for the type of venue. This is not your casual off the green café but a real restaurant.

just ok. Country Club fare at expensive prices. Wish this place was better since we belong to the club.

Outstanding food and a fantastic view. The menu is excellent. Only four stars because there are so many great places in the Vail area and this place is very expensive. Nice piano bar is a good touch, very friendly pianist, and the whole staff was great!

Between the gorgeous views, superb kitchen, exceptional attention to details and service, and upscale comfort and convenience for guests, the Vista was the perfect venue for our family’s wedding ceremony and reception-celebration. Janine is a pleasure to work with, and Michael’s magic in the kitchen really wowed our guests. We review without solicitation and make recommendations when and where they are truly deserved. Cost-Benefit evaluation equals outstanding value.

Wow — this place was spectacular, from the view to the service to the food. Everyone at my table loved their meals; I had the roasted beet salad and the tuna; others had the potato crusted halibut and the short ribs with polenta — everything was divine. We sat inside because it was a bit cool, but we had a wonderful table by the patio with a lovely view — we even saw a double rainbow. I loved that it was a relaxing atmosphere(not too loud or crammed; very comfortable chairs). Definitely one of my best restaurant experiences!

The rehearsal dinner we had at the Vista last friday night, August 13th, was absolutely above and beyond our expectations! We visited a few other spots before we looked at your location, and the bride and groom knew immediately that they loved the views and beauty of your establishment. We saw great reviews beforehand, and never did a tasting, just went on faith that the food would be good. It wasn’t just good, it was fantastic. People were raving about it for days. The staff was the best, and we were treated so well. Working with you was a pleasure, Janine. Anytime we have any event in the mountains, you can be sure the Vista will be our first and only choice! Thanks so much! Pat and Kathie Panzarino
