If I had their food catered elsewhere it’d get 5 stars. But when you dine in and bat at flies only to look down and see dead flies on a sticky floor you can’t help but wonder what the kitchen looks like. Not to mention the teenage daughter who seems bothered by your existence. Invest in some ambience and you’ll do great :)

We used our Groupon on tonight for takeout. We ordered 2 house salads which was served as one in a Styrofoam container. Average Italian style salad including mixture of lettuce, red pimentos and red onion and already dressed with Italian. Meh! Garlic cheese bread was an Italian roll with small amount of cheese. Pizza was described by employee/owner as Imo’s style so we asked if they had a supreme/deluxe and she said he can do that(ended up having sausage(good crumbly kind), orange bell peppers, cheese mixture, mushrooms, red onions and peperoni and a sausage pizza. It was very thin, sauce lacked spice and toppings were lacking(several pieces ha a piece of sausage on a piece. I didn’t pick up but my husband said«you wouldn’t like it, needs cleaning». We gave it a try but won’t be back for around $ 40.00 for this meal.

Sadly, I’ll probably never get to try Cunetto’s as I have just given up trying. So, the two stars are based on the bad experience of trying to catch the place open and not being able to do so. Their Facebook page lists several incidents and reasons why they were not open on certain days. No power, which I can understand. Owner’s car broke down… illness… just several things on and on until we just gave up making the effort. It does not make sense for me to have to try to follow the Facebook page just to find out when and why they close randomly. Tuesday we called repeatedly to order a pizza, after about ten times we gave up– no recorder or anything to leave us a message so we know what is going on. Ordered a pizza instead from Joe’s, we liked it very much.

My brother and I were excited to try this place for the first time for lunch today. Got there at 10:50(open at 11:00) and no sign of anyone around. Finally at 11:00, someone came rushing in the side door and opened the front door. Was not impressed when entering. Musty smelling and not very clean. My brother and I both ordered the luncheon cannelloni and side salad. Side salad was great. Cannelloni was ok, but I’ve tasted better. When they brought it out, it appeared to be steaming, but upon cutting it, it was just lukewarm and the noodles were a little undercooked. They need to clean the place up before I go back.

We went to Cunetto’s at 1:45hrs on Friday for our first time only to find a handwritten note on the door, «be back at 3:30». Bad form.

We tried going there for the first time today. The hours online said they were open from 11 – 8. We got there at 3:00 and they were closed. Sign on the door said they were open from 4 – 8. we left and came back at 4:30 and they were still closed. Tried calling and there was no answer and no machine. What a disappointment.

I love this place. I’ve had several of the pasta dishes(all excellent), a potato soup du jour, and the side salad. I’m addicted to their perfectly spiced Tutto Mare. As an added bonus, they serve Pepsi products! Everyone I’ve taken here has enjoyed their food immensely. My dad couldn’t get enough of their side salad! Service can get a bit spotty as there is only ever one woman serving and it often gets quite busy. That said, she’s good at what she does and has friendliness to spare when the place isn’t so crazy busy. The space is nothing extravagant, but I’m used to it from eating here when it was Global Noodle years ago so I’m not the best judge. If I had had an Italian grandmother(or one who cooked at all), I’d expect that this little place would feel a lot like home.

Amazing food, large portions and they offer take out as a nice option. The salad and pastas were great and the table next to me said it’s their favorite place for pizza. I highly recommend stopping in.

Went for lunch on a weekday. My sister and I are from a St. Louis Italian family and we both agreed this is the real thing. Reasonably priced delicious food with friendly service in a casual relaxed atmosphere. The pizza was a step above Farotto’s — thin crispy crust with more body and just the right amount of toppings – with provel, of course. Spices were exceptional! Italian nachos were hard to stop eating… what a innovation. Kudos to chef Mike Cunetto. Well worth the trip, even coming from St. Louis burbs. We are taking a group there later this month. Cannot recommend it enough!

This place is in dire need of help in the service & cleanliness department. When we asked for a wipe of our sticky table, the lady said«the table is always sticky» and blamed it on humidity. What??? Then she wiped it off with a dirty wet rag. Gross. I could not bring myself to put my silverware on it. Sticky floors too. TIP… call grimebusters for a deep deep clean of the whole place. Then let me know and I’ll come back.

Stopped in when I found them On Unilocal. Why drive to the Hill when you have the same great food right here? Had the house salad and the monster Italian beef and sausage sandwich for lunch. Both were excellent highly recommend. I will stop in the next time I’m in town.

Visited tonight for take-out. 16 bucks for the tutto du Mari, which had 6 small shrimp and a bunch of nasty canned clams, most of which were so mushed up I couldn’t tell what they were. No seasoning except salt and tons of pepper. Sauce tasted like flour and water. Salad was limp and soggy. Bread was ok, but basically a giant unheated roll. 16 bucks for one bite of salad that I spat out, six small shrimp, a bite of bread, and 2 forkfuls of pasta. The rest went into the trash. If I hadn’t gotten take-out, entire meal would have gone back. Gooey butter cake was ok but not particularly fresh, and t-ravs were edible(but easy to get frozen so hard to mess up). Hubby had the chicken portobello pasta and reported it bland but inoffensive.

Outstanding. Amazing Italian comfort food, The Hill style, right in the heart of Edwardsville. Tons of great dining options in Edwardsville, but we keep ending up here. Chicken Bianco Vino is simply decadent. Pasta Alfredo is some of the best I’ve ever had. The dinner salad, think Zia’s. I’ve sampled quite a few items on the menu and not one complaint. The dining room is small, but we have never had to wait very long for a table. Carryout is a great option at peak times too. If you haven’t been, get there. It’s great!

Went to Cunetto’s Corner Cucina for the first time this week and was very pleased with the Italian Beef, Canneloni, and Sausage Sandwich. Went back today and got the fried chicken. The best I’ve had in years. Fried chicken is just an occasional treat for me, but whenever I have it in the future, this is where I’ll get it. Looking forward to trying other menu items in the near future. Great food and good people.

My wife and I had the carbonara and tutti de mare for lunch and both dishes were outstanding. The tutti de mare in particular was so good — not swimming in heavy cream sauce, but served with a light white sauce that didn’t smother the taste of the crab and shrimp. We topped things off with their homemade gooey butter cake, which was delicious. The serving sizes were very generous and the staff extremely friendly. We will definitely be back.

Very good food! Linguini with clams was spicy and delicious, chicken ravioli was perfectly cooked and the white sauce was a great compliment. Also had the special which was pan seared tilapia with broccoli and hollandaise sauce. It was excellent. Only thing that was mediocre was the chicken spedini. Chicken was good but the sauce was thick and overly lemony. We did order the bruschetta for an appetizer and it was ok. The bread was black around the edges and the topping was served on the side and was very cold. Not my favorite take on this dish. All in all a very solid place to get a great meal. Service was ok, very informal. And the dining room is tiny so be prepared to wait if you want to dine in.

We had a wonderful experience this evening at Cunetto’s. It was our first visit and we were very pleased with our decision. The salads were very fresh, the pasta dishes delicious and the service was excellent. There is nothing fancy about the premises, but if you are going for high quality food at a very reasonable price point, served by nice people, this is your place in Edwardsville.

Small dining area only 8 tables but the food is great. The food is equal to «the Hill». I had the linginini and clam sauce, Donna, had carbonara great flavor. Can’t wait to go back!

CCC is a family run business serving very good Italian dishes. The menu is not limited to just Italian, there’s enough variety to fill just about any taste preferences. The menu claims that fried chicken is a speciality. You will have to be the judge of that. The two dishes and salads that I sampled were very good. The service was good and friendly. The dining room seats about 25. Take away is a viable option, and appears to be a popular choice. If you are in the Edwardsville area I’d suggest that you give CCC a try.

Newly opened… Cunetto’s Corner Cucina is a welcome addition to the Edwardsville area restaurant scene. It’s owned and operated by a member of the Cunetto’s family, and the food is reminiscent of Cunetto’s on The Hill. All food is house made from scratch. Hours are Monday thru Saturday 11AM to Close. When’s close? Don’t know… but not before 8PM. They have eat in(very limited seating) and carry out. We had carry out. The Linguini Tutto Mare was very good. Linguini noddles with generous portion of shrimp, crab, and clam in a white sauce. The Canneloni with marinara was excellent. The red sauce really popped. Calamari appetizer was good, but typical. All food was well packed and still piping hot upon arrival at home. Would definitely go here again. Can’t wait to try their fried chicken and Chicken Portabella Ravioli.
