They are now closed… LOL. No surprise here, as you can see from my previous review.

Formerly bobby Chez’s is now classic crab cake. Good food. Good service. A bit pricy, not huge on serving size unless its French fries. Which are delicious too. A lot of fried foods here and they also have prepared food for you to take home and cook for yourself. Tonight I had the soft shell crab and it was very good.. I have had the mini crab cake lunch special before with hand –cut onion rings(only 2 but they’re large!) they’re a bit hard to chew so I prefer the fries…

Holy sh*t! Here we go… Jumbo lump crab cakes. Nothing but thick succulent crab meat in your moufff. For $ 7 – 8 per cake, it’s well worth the money for the quality and freshness you get! (they can fry the crab cakes for you upon request) Combine that with their famous fried mac n cheese balls, potato salad & lobster mashed potatoes… HELLO! This place has everything readily available right in front of your fricken’ face! Seafood, pastas, salads, all these deep fried goodies. They also serve $ 6 – 10 combo hot plates and lunch specials… HELLO!

I was here a few months ago with my cousin. We tried the crab cakes and macaroni and cheese w/lobster. It was great food and the cashier who I think might’ve been the owner was very friendly. He gave us a discount on our bill when my cousin told me I was taking her out to celebrate her pregnancy! It’s not a fancy restaurant more like a casual deli vibe w/a few tables and counter top bar style seating. You can see the food and that’s what I like most about this place, you eat w/ur eyes first and it helps out w/food selection.

The name changed to Classic Crab Cakes and the food is really good. The mini crab cakes, coleslaw, potatoe salad, colossal onion rings, french fries, fish and chips were delicious!

The BEST Crabcakes in the world just got better… Now Bobby Chez sells his lump jumbo Crabcakes on QVC and thru his website, so it is easy to order anytime you need a Crabcake fix, which is quite often when you live in the desert. We have no specialty seafood shops here in Arizona, so I appreciate the convenience of ordering on line. Saves me a bundle in airfare! Thanks for keeping the quality consistent, and your prices very reasonable. Have you ever tried pricing lump jumbo crabmeat people??? It is out of this world. Yet Bobby Chez keeps his Crabcakes affordable. Enough about value, the TASTE is out of this world. There is NO better Crabcake.

This is the best in the area. The food is always fresh and is owner run. Much better than Margate.

We often order Bobby Chez’s crab cakes when having family over for holidays. I highly recommending taking advantage of their take-out when planning a large dinner. You can pick up the day before and heat before serving, making meal prep so much easier. They have a large mainly seafood-based menu, but the crab cakes(and balls) are out of this world!

The best thing out of my long distance relationship was a visit to NJ and to Bobby Chez. The Shrimp puff was to die for, really just wonderful. Every stop in here made me miss the east coast living. Nothing compares to this local seafood favorite. I was once in Philly and came across a new spot on South Street, unfortunately they closed that store down due to the economy. Either way the lobster mac & cheese, and crab cakes were the best I’d ever had. I really hope I have an excuse to get back here soon!

I’m actually eating one of their crab cakes as i write this review. It is delicious! My friend took me there today for lunch and I can’t thank her enough for bringing me there. The place is primarily seafood, but they do also have some other options like their rotisserie chicken(which is amazing). As you can see from the previous reviews, the crab cakes here are great, but another dish worth mentioning is the stuffed shrimp(their #2 seller). The people that work there are also extraordinarily nice and friendly. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by to pick up some food to bring home! One thing to note, it isn’t a good place for large groups. There is some seating but it’s like a bar, counter tops and stools.

Possibly the very best thing New Jersey has to offer. I discovered Bobby Chez half way through a week long work trip and subsequently ate here every day after. The«famous» crab cakes did not disappoint(this coming from a crab cake snob with Baltimore blood running through her veins). They come broiled or fried. Get ‘em broiled. Crab stuffed shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops, lobster mac n cheese… My only complaint is that I spend half my lunch hour agonizing over which yummy seafood treats to choose!

I was very unhappy with my first visit to Bobby Chez but it seems they have worked out the kinks of opening a new location. of their businessand are now vastly improved. My first visit was shortly after they opened and it was an awful experience. I gave them a try again on the advice of a friend who said they had a great experience with their crab cakes and fish entrees. I must say the last time I visited Bobby Chez a few days ago it was excellent. I had the roast chicken, chicken parm, garlic mashed, sauteed spinach and all were excellent. Service is still friendly and efficient. Can’t wait to try the crab cakes.
