Intensely delicous, vibrantly fragrant colorful beautiful magical food that will make your heart smile. Amazing fluffy naan and the momos are worth the wait. Great atmosphere, good warm vibes and friendly charm.

Five stars are not sufficient, they deserve more than that. Momo, sha-bhaley, than-thuk, chowmin tastes great and server are polite, smiling and observant.

Great experience and restaurant that just needs a little more room for order modification to be 5 stars! Vegetarian is easy here; vegan is more problematic. As well as I can tell I ordered a milk free Chana masala(chick pea curry). But most items on the menu either contain milk or it’s difficult to determine for sure. The selection is small and different from typical Indian fare, no doubt due to the Tibetan/Nepali influence. However, it’s a welcome change. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy inside, and parking seems to be easy enough to find nearby. The offer options of spice level on the entrees, so that’s a plus! The food was very tasty, the basmati rice was perfectly cooked, and the dal soup to start was excellent. The curry was piping hot and mellow on the spices compared with typical Indian food. For the price, I received a good amount of food that was quite tasty.

Chickpea(chana) masala with garlic/cilantro naan. The naan was fine. The chickpea masala was bland. Because the reviews are so high, I’ll definitely give it another try with another dish…

Lovely small restaurant for Indian/Pakistani fare. The staff is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The garlic naan is the best we’ve had in this area: baked in a tadoor oven but soft and fluffy, not hard and chewy. The samosas are warm and well seasoned. We’ve had three of the curries, chicken, lamb and salmon, and they were all tasty and aromatic. The vegetable pakora are generously portioned and a lovely appetizer. The prices are more than reasonable. We’ll be back often and have also used their take-out, which was ready when promised and got home hot and yummy.

Food is delicious. Try some of everything! I’ve been here on weekdays, on weekends, with large groups and by myself. Each time the food has been consistently awesome. I’ve also noticed service has been consistently friendly. Prices are very reasonable and portions are decent. I highly recommend trying things you don’t normally try, when looking at the menu. I have yet to order something that wasn’t delicious. Also as an added bonus, I’ve had no to very short wait times, along with great parking.

We were here as a group of 8 for dinner. We had made the reservation ahead but there was no one else anyway. We got seated right away. The waiters did an amazing job. They were very enthused about providing good service. The food was excellent too. All the items we ordered were good including samosas, samosa chaat, momos, gya thuk, thain thuk and vegetable tandoori. The vegetable tandoori is served in a sizzling plate here and tastes very good with naan. They also offered us complimentary rice and deal. Ambience is pleasant and personal. It’s a pretty small place but could be a nice place for a date night. Overall, a very nice place for dinner.

Pleasant surprise north to Berkeley. There are many Tibetan places but this one is authentically warm and delicious. The salas they mixed was delicious. I also had the Bhutan creamed mushroom. Service from the Nepalese boy was great.

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place. It’s a Indian-Nepalese place that’s really tasty and reasonably priced. Since Nepal sits between India and China(so they tell me), it’s basically great Indian food with a Chinese influence. The interior is inviting and the service friendly. The portions are large enough that we always walk out with leftovers. Highly recommended.

The server there Sagar is awesome and always takes care of us. The momo there is the best momo I have ever ate around the Bay area. Sha Phale is really good so is there sauce. Overall very satisfied with this place and have been going there since the new owner took over. Good making those same momo’s.

After a horrible experience at the neighboring Salva Mex restaurant, I decided to try this place out. The customer service was great. The server was exceptional, attentive, and energetic. The food was delicious. I love their Vegetable Tandoori. The price was excellent too. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Thursday Alan and I met the Rinkys here for lunch. We would rate it 3 ½ stars, bumped up to 4 for the excellent company. Rinky ordered the vegetable pakora, which were fresh and totally delicious w/tamarind and mint sauces for dipping. We were also given papadum w/the same tamarind sauce. The restaurant offers a daily assortment of thali. On this day there were one w/eggplant, another vegetable one, chicken tikka masala and something w/fish. Rinky ordered the eggplant, Mr. Rinky ordered channa masala, the garbanzo bean dish, and Alan and I ordered chicken tikka masala. In addition to the naan that came w/the lunch Rinky ordered garlic and cilantro(I think) and Alan ordered garlic and rosemary. The thali came w/dal and a choice of brown or white rice. We all chose brown. Rinky and I requested chai and I ordered raita. I found the chai a little thin and no refills were offered. The dal was similarly thin tasting. The chicken tikka had an oddly tomato colored sauce, but was very tasty and bore no noticeable tomato flavor. The sauce was lovely over the rice, which was also delicious. The raita was nicely tart, the way I like it. The garlic rosemary naan was good dipped in it. The taste I had of Rinky’s eggplant was very good, as was the taste of Mr. Rinky’s garbanzo beans. The dining room is large and clean, the walls painted in warm, earthy colors. I found a parking spot right in front and there is also a parking lot in back w/the driveway just to the north of the building that’s reserved for the businesses in that building. While we enjoyed the pakora and the chicken and rice, I don’t think we would return here when we have Himalayan Tandoori & Curry House on Solano whose food we prefer.

I was here at 6pm on a Friday. Six folks at one table and two sets of couples plus me. Interior is pleasant and clean. I had to change tables as the one I sat down on wobbled — how hard is it to fix a table? Then I saw the waitress offer the wobbly table to another couple that came in. Decided to try a variety to see how it was. Pakora had a nice curry breading but wasn’t as crispy as I’d like. Came with the usual tamarind and mint sauces. Chili appetizer was slightly tough pork belly, tomatoes, onions and big slices of jalapeño peppers. Mange lassi was good if darker than others I’ve had. I did not care for the curry lentil soup, found it bland with an off smell. Chicken tikka masala was very good, but the saag paneer was not good — too much salt and the paneer was tough. My favorite was the naan — fresh with the perfect crisp bottom. If you want the best from what I had, just order naan and tikka masala. Two other couples and a few folks for takeout was what I saw for traffic — steady. Service was fast and polite. A lot of food for $ 40, but uneven. Fix some details and you’d be good instead of fair

We’ve been wanting to try this place for ages but somehow never got around to it. Despite the recent mixed reviews we met with our friend, LM, for a belated birthday celebration. The three of us were all very happy with our appetizers and lunch entrees. We shared two APPETIZERS which came with a mint and a tamarind dipping sauces. Vegetable Samosas – tasty potato filling Vegetable pakora – very yummy vegetables in a heavy batter but still delivered lots of flavor and crunch. ENTREES –lunches came with dal and rice Vegan Mr Rinky ordered CHANNAMASALA, garbanzos seasoned with ginger and garlic. He said it was the BEST Channa Masala he’s ever had! I ordered the MISMAS –vegetable curry with tofu. Very satisfying. LM got the Chicken Tikka Masala combo lunch which came with dal, rice, naan, papdam. Thumbs up! We also ordered plain naan and the garlic rosemary naan. Both were perfect breads to go with our meals. I also ordered a chai – which was perfectly spiced. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We were given menus and chilled water. Our orders were taken promptly and our food came out quickly. Our water glasses were kept full. Perhaps the owners took note of the criticisms made on Unilocal regarding the food and staff. We definitely will return. We’ve got to try the momos!

Excellent! We mostly tried their Indian selections, but they were quite good. The rosemary naan is so lovely and aromatic, and pairs well with the tika masala. The lentil soup at the start of the meal is delightful as well. I Willie sure to be back, though I will not be ordering the third dessert option again, as it was quite small and not at all to my taste, being sandy in texture. Very much worth it for the savory food, however, and the chai was pleasant as well.

I had the Bhutanese green beans(is that Amul cheese I detect?) no, says the owner: the sauce is a blend of American & bleu cheese. It was weird-tasting to be honest. Came with yellow dal and basmati. Junior loved the sha-pale. Husband loved the thukpa(soup) with hand-pulled noodles but I found the broth bland. Authentic Tibetan flavor in the tsampa/yogurt dessert, so hubs & Junior loved it. Overall a disappointment for me. But then again I’m spoiled because my husband is a bangin’ Tibetan cook!
