If you are looking for tasteful food and a clean place to eat it, this is a great option. Don’t worry about how it looks from outside, once you’re inside you will tell what I’m talking about.

So I have been here a total of 3 times. 2x for other people at work and the last time was actually for myself. I work nearby and I have heard mixed reviews but they weren’t horror stories and the 2 times I went for other people I didn’t have any issues(but I never ate the food also) so I decided to try it out. So my plan was to order a sandwich there and go to a store to get a bottle of water since I do not drink sodas. However, I saw that they had unsweetened tea so I decide to get the combo so I don’t have to make a 2nd stop… I took one sip of the raspberry tea.(Gross) I asked the lady if could i could exchange my cup for a bottle water(which I didn’t notice they had before I got the cup) she says no, because I already had the cup.(I’m thinking ugh why not!!! but I just say«ok, that’s fine») I then try the unsweetened tea, that tasted even worse(Again, I say nothing). I wait for my food to finish, when it does, I say as nice as possible that their tea’s taste a little funny, maybe they need a fresh one. And the lady looks at me and says, «it’s fine, you didn’t press the button»…what??? Does she think I can’t work a drink dispenser? I tell her I did press the button, it’s just the taste of the tea is off. The lady then rudely walks away from the counter… I’m thinking whatever and walk away to leave. She then waits for me to walk by the door and yells, «the tea taste fine, you just didn’t press the button!» …I begin to say something but I stop because i decided i don’t feel like arguing today so I leave. I threw the tea away and went to circle k to buy my water… oh well, hopefully the food is at least good I’m thinking… NOPE, the fries were bland and the burger, ugh I don’t know what that was… Overall, horrible experience. I will never go back there again.

Straight up best fries I’ve ever had. This place is like 3 blocks from my house and I love coming here! Good deals considerin’ it’s a small place. Family special is 4 cheeseburgers, 4 fries, and 420oz. sodas for $ 18.99! The Teriyaki chicken, burgers, and sandwiches(at least the ones I tried) are all really good! I say try it, but that’s just me.

I’ve been coming here since 2009 and I love their subs, small hole in the wall but very friendly service… they do serve beer as well…

Not bad. Friendly service. Mom and pop place that makes your standard burgers, fries and sandwiches but also teriyaki chicken, beef and short rib bowls. This place Kind of resembles a mashed a B-Mans and a Jack in the Box together.

I can’t believe I have never been to this place. I live down the street from this place. I moved here when I was a kid and it’s still here… Almost 20 years? I started going here two months ago and I was so amazed. This hole in the wall place is so good. I’ve tried the Italian, Jacks sub, and hoagie steak. All good. I didn’t think much of the hoagie steak but wow! My mom only eats asian food and she said that sandwich was delicious. She complimented the flavor of the steak. I’m a regular now and my mom wants to try other subs.

Got their onion rings and steak sandwich. The onion rings were okay but the steak sandwich was so bomb. The steak meat is similar to bulgogi meat. It is kind of sweet and really tasty. Would comeback again Foshure if I feel like eating a fulfilling hot sandwich. The only downside is that the place is kind of run down. Everything looks old and the building needs big renovation. Building looks like it’s been through a world war.

This has to be one of those older mom & pop restaurants because it’s been here ever since I can remember. I’ve lived in El Monte since 95 and although this place is just up the street from my house, I had never tried it until now. The outside just doesn’t look appealing and it never made itself look like a place with good food. But now I crave it all the time. I love the beef teriyaki bowl, and the many varieties of sandwiches. It’s not a 5 star restaurant cause I’ve tasted better, but it’s pretty good & does the job. Anyone who lives in the area knows that this place has been through a lot. From break-ins to cars crashing into the restaurant. It’s good to know that the business is still standing.

The best sub I have ever tasted. Chunky avocados, fresh, and big portions! Lots of choices from cold and hot subs and even teriyaki with rice! Will definitely come again.

This is a great low key sandwich shop. The hoagie steak and cheese sub is delicious. The fries are good but nothing out of the ordinary. They also have burgers, teriyaki, and salads, which I haven’t tried but I have seen other people order and it looks good.

I live down the street and have ate here once. The burger was okay but the bread was dry. I noticed they are extremely cheap just by the way the dining room is set up. They don’t have cable or even a flat screen an old tv is set up and it’s on channel 13… the whole thing is just depressing. The burger was good when I tried up but the onion rings were awful. I was kind of disgusted as to how they weren’t wearing gloves… the oil in which they deep fry is really black. When I ate there It totalled my metabolism. One of those places.

Ordered a BLT — delicious. Bacon was cooked to perfection… But have to ask for the bread toasted so it’ll taste better.(Maybe that’s just me) Appearance — 3 out of 5 (Came with little Asians children to creep you out while they watch you eat) Fries was simply perfect Overall a 4star.

Been coming here for years, mainly for the onion rings they are consistently good and never greasy. We usually order the Teriyaki Steak and cheese hot sub because it tastes fresh and delicious. Tried the BBQ Chicken and cheese hot sub and wasn’t too impressed, however the BLT was pretty good and gave a good amount of crispy bacon!

Welcome to your local mom n pop sandwich shop. I drive by, walk by and jog by this place often and finally pulled myself over to give it a try during lunch. First impression… they close early but serve alcohol… who the hell drinks here!!! Food: Ordered a Pastrami sandwich with fries and a drink. I forget how much it cost but it wasn’t much. Sandwich was not good and not bad. Lacked a fresh touch of ingredients. Bread felt old. Cheese didn’t seem to match the sandwich. Fries… you can’t mess up fries. Service: Order at the counter and wait. Lady was nice enough. Environment: This place looks like it attract a lot of homeless people. The interior is very dumpy and not the trendy dumpy. I mean like dumpy! Price: Cheap quick meal. Food: 2 Service: 3 Environment: 1 Price: 4

I remember eating here a lot when i was younger and decided to drop by recently to see how things were going now. Sad to say, but either my taste buds have grown up or this place was just disappointing overall. The dining room was run down and crummy, everything was kind of sticky and stained or whatever which REALLY put me in the mood to eat. I had the teriyaki chicken sub(TOGO of course) By the time i got home to eat it, most of the bread was soggy. I guess it helps hide the fact that the bread itself wasn’t fresh. I hate sandwiches that drip and this one dripped constantly nonstop from the beginning to the end. It sucks cause the sub lacked any teriyaki sauce or flavor, yet it still drips. No need to get drinks here, the subs will definitely quench your thirst. The woman that helped me seemed like she didn’t really care about her job. Monotone voice and straight faced the whole time. Overall, this place just sucks. Its not cheap, so i wouldn’t drop by here if i was on a budget. The quality care of the restaurant and the food is obviously not present. I really wanted to like this place, i hate not to support local family businesses.

This is a solid sandwich shop on the north side of El Monte. I have been coming here since I was a kid, but hadn’t been in a while. I always remember enjoying their sandwiches and they were one of the few convenient food locations in the area for quite some time. The area has gotten more options to choose from, but it’s still a good option for a quick bite or to-go orders. They have sandwiches, both hot and cold as burgers, teriyaki bowls and cooked sides. I almost always choose something different when I go. Their cooked sandwiches are always a great option as well as their cold cut sandwiches. Everything is made to order and their fries and onion rings are hot and fresh. Service has always been solid as well. Can’t really go wrong here.

I’ve passed by this place forever and never thought to go. The mushroom lovers sub is amazing. Something about the combination of cooked mushrooms, avocado, cheese, lettuce, tomato and maybe some sort of spread. The hoagie steak sub tasted like bulgogi beef which was a nice surprise. The beef was very tender and the peppers added a nice touch. The onion rings are also really good. Your sub is made to order(no microwaving like Subway. they actually grill your meat!) so there is about a 5 – 10 minute wait time. But you can call your order ahead of time if you don’t want to wait. Place is nothing fancy, a basic mom & pop hole in the wall that offers great value. My kind of place. BTW, closed on Sundays!
