This is one of the best Mexican ice cream places we ever visited in La Puente. They sell different kinds of dessert but we love their ice cream particularly my fave, pistacho. Serving is huge and lots of flavor to choose from. Gracias !

This place was a little dirty. The 2 people that were there didn’t greet us when we walked in, they we’re actually talking bad about someone they work with. The lady looked at us but still continued to talk with the person that was there. When she seemed to be done she asked what we wanted, I should have left but hey I wanted my ice cream. I had their cajeta ice cream and fresas con crema. I don’t recommend fresas con crema but the cajeta I do, it was delish! I’m sure their other flavors are good, my disappointment was the employees, it did feel uncomfortable being there.

I love this place. Heads up its only Popsicles when it comes to the ice cream which means no chamangos but the Popsicles are still so good!!! And all the snacks. I love going and getting fresh cold mango with chamoy chile limon etc! Great on a hot summer day and so many flavors!

Ice cream was very delicious. but our service was horrible the guy that was helping us had such a bad attitude like if he hated his job .I understand it was really busy but if your customers are waiting for more than 10 min for an ice cream you shouldn’t be rushing them when it’s there turn

So many good reviews but my experience was blehhhhh to say the least. Got the chocolate covered strawberry paleta, no ice cream whatsoever only frozen strawberries. Maybe next time I’ll have a better experience but for now, nah I’ll pass. Off to find a real ice cream shop

Very small location and easy to miss If you’re not paying attention. Business owner very nice and I think world alone. Alot of variety of paletas to choose from and regular ice cream. Paleteria also has yogurt with fruit and hot cheetos with nacho cheese. I will come back again and try many more flavors.

They make really good bionicos. Their selection of ice cream is extensive as well as their aguas frescos. I’ve been coming here for years and they always do a good job.

This place has been a hidden El Monte gem for quite awhile now and I’m a regular here because of the quality of their ice creams& the wide selection of the paletas. I love me some sweet Mexican ice cream, you can actually taste the freshness.

I was a bit skeptical about this place, but boy was I wrong. They have a great selection of Popsicles and they’re all made in house. They also have raspados, juice, ice cream, etc. Basically if you name it, they probably have it. Dessert choices in El Monte are limited, so if you’re looking for somewhere sweet, this place is a pretty good bet. Stay Cheerful ;)

I love esquimales and this place had them! I had the vanilla one with peanuts. It was $ 3, a bit pricier than other places, but it was also bigger in size. It was super delicious! My daughter had the mango paleta de agua and she also enjoyed it very much because she was done with it before we got home and she usually doesn’t finish her paletas. The people working there were very kind and friendly. I will definitely go back when I’m in the area.

I have not tried a paleta until recently, and I have totally been missing out. On my first trip, I tried the rice and walnut. The rice one reminded me of horchata. It had chunks of rice and cinnamon stick in it. I loved the texture. The walnut paleta’s flavor was subtle but had a lot of walnut pieces at the bottom. My sister got the strawberries and cream and my mom got the strawberries and milk. Be aware that the cream paletas cost more at $ 3, while the other paletas cost $ 1.75. I felt like the strawberries and milk one tasted better. After my first paleta, I could not stop craving it. It’s like a drug. I went back the following weekend, and the man that works there remembered me! Haha! I tried the guava fruit paleta but did not enjoy it as much. It had a lot of guava flavor, but was also very sweet and had seeds. Some people might appreciate the texture from the seeds, but I didn’t enjoy them getting stuck in my teeth. This place may be kind of difficult to find. It is located in a plaza with a Chinese market and Great China Buffet. I am so glad that this place opens late. They also serve ice cream and chamango/mangoneadas, amongst other Hispanic snacks. Hmm. What should I try next?!

This place has such BOMB ice cream. It’s wayyyy better than rite aid or Baskin Robbins if you ask me. The texture of it is so different from all the other ice cream places, which is why it stands out the most. It’s so unique that I can’t even seem to describe it; it’s very smooth with a hint of iciness to it. The texture is like half ice cream half froyo kinda. I’ve tried the lime one which is pretty sour for me, but still very good. Today I just got the guava one and it was super tasty. They also let you sample flavors as well just in case you can’t make up your mind. Their Popsicles are also super yummy. They have a bunch of different flavors, mostly fruity and creamy ones. The fruity ones taste super light and fresh, kinda like eating fresh fruit on a hot day. The creamy ones are really milky, so it gives it a heavier taste, but is still delicious to eat at the same time. Everything here is dirt cheap, prices are great, and the service is really friendly. The man saw that we had two dogs, but they’re not allowed inside and he seemed very sincere and apologetic when he told us they couldn’t be in here. He even shared his dog stories with us since him and his wife own two dogs. Definitely will be back to try other flavors.

Very Creamy and yummy paletas. $ 1.75 each. Don’t expect much from this store. It is literally just freezers of ice cream. No seating space or anything. More of a Grab & Go type of store. You get a variety of flavors on the wall which you can choose from. Watermelon — Very Sweet! Holy Cow it was too sweet. It was good but if it had a little less sugar, it would have been better. Arroz(rice) — Chunky Rice Pudding — it was very creamy and had chunks of rice in it. The Cinnamon accented very well. Almost like a Horchata Bar but creamier. It was very tasty. Chamoy — A mixture of tang, spicy, sour & sweet. It was very sour! It is sour to the point where you pucker your lips and squint your eyes from being so sour. I could only have a couple bites before my face couldn’t pucker anymore. =X Overall — I would come back to get more in bulk, but it was good and I would like to try other flavors.

Yummmm!!! I rarely get to come by El Monte area, but when I do, I look for a paleta place to try. It was a very hot day and I was worried if I came around 8pm, a lot of the options would be sold out like other paleterias I’ve been to. Lucky for me, they still had quite a number of options to choose from! I tried the Guayaba con leche and my tastebuds exploded with happiness and approval. They used real chunks of guava in their paleta! It was $ 1.25 for the one I got. I would definitely come back again when I’m in the neighborhood. I wish the cashier spoke more English though, or maybe I should learn how to order in Spanish. It was really difficult for her to let me know in English what ingredients were inside which paleta. But at least I managed to know how to say«Guayaba» and«con leche» lol.

Yummy! I love paletas! I got their strawberries and cream, nuez, coconut, watermelon, chocobanana and the chocolate covered strawberry paleta. They are delicious. I love how it just has the right amount of sweetness. The chocolate covered strawberry paleta is dipped generously in chocolate. They don’t skimp when they dip their paletas or bananas in chocolate. I keep trying to tell myself that it’s healthy since the ingredients are all natural. I seriously could eat like 3 paletas a day, but I try to stick to a 2 paleta limit per day. Yes, their shop is a small and humble one. Although, I prefer to buy stuff at these small mom and pop stores.

PALETAHEAVEN. I thought that growing up in Ktown and having tried all the paleta carts that rolled down the street after school… that I would know how a paleta should taste. oh my god… when I tried these bad boys at a friend’s potluck, I immediately asked where they got them and the next day I was there. Everything tastes so fresh and the surprisingly amazing flavor that I loveeeee is the walnut(and I don’t even like walnuts)!! Hard to find but it’s literally across from a banh mi che cali, it’s about $ 1.75 for one so do yourself a favor and bring $$$ so you can try them allllllll

This place truly is a hole in the wall and I AMOBSESSED. This is seriously paletas heaven!!! There are big chunks of fresh fruits inside and the fruit pieces taste fresh and sweet! We got a strawberry bar covered in chocolate with coconut flakes on the outside($ 3). It was so gooooodddddddd. I am officially in love with paletas. There are so many favors and the price for paletas ranges from $ 1.75 to $ 3 depends on what you get. In addition, the lady who works there is really genuine; however she only speaks a limited amount of English.

One of the best Ice Cream shops in the greater Los Angeles area. They’ve got every flavor imaginable in ice cream bars, plus cones and fresh fruit bars. A bit hard to find, but well worth the hunt!

Mom and pop shop. Easy to miss. Had to drive by 3x before I found it. It’s right next to the Asian-mex supermarket, Valle Supermarket BF asks ‘does Unilocal have pics of the outside? What does it look like?’ I respond ‘El Monte’ Get the Coconut paleta. Sooooo creamy! And if you hate coconut shreds they put it on the bottom of the bar. Love it

Like I said, I love ICECREAM! Came here after having dinner with my family. We always tend to make room for desserts after our family feasts. This place looked like a family owned shop. They have plenty of flavors to choose from. They sale both pop bars and ice cream scoops in a cup or cone. I settled with Pistachio, my sister got the Walnut flavored pop bar, it also looked like there were some walnuts chopped up on the bottom of the bar. My other sister got the cookies and cream. Overall, I’d come back again, the people over the counter were pretty nice as well. This place can be missed easily, If you know where the great china buffet is at, its in that plaza.
