All I can say is «WOW!»
No one has anything on my grandma’s cooking But I think I found my new go to place in Cali when I’m away from my grandma. One of the best breakfast burritos I have had in a long time from a restaurant. Staff was so attentive & sweet.

A co-​worker recommended this place to me because I was in the mood for a breakfast burrito. This place has all day breakfast!!! *thank you foood gods!* I went in around 1 (after the lunch rush) and was greeted right away by Maria. She is super nice and helpful. She knew it was my first time because she had never seen me before. After looking at the extensive menu, I decided on my breakfast burrito and chips and guac to share. It was all made so fresh which was evident in the taste. When you order a burrito, Maria brings it to you so you can add your salsa of preference and then she rolls it up for you again. I can’t wait to go back because it wont break my budget, the service is friendly, and the food is authentic and delicious!

I agree with all other positive reviews. This food is awesome and authentic — just what I was looking as we began our road trip to Coachella. I had the bacon breakfast burrito and it was amazing. I also had the shrimp tacos. My buddy bought 5 tacos and the huevos rancheros and he said it was the best food that’s ever touched his lips. I don’t say things as colorfully as he did but I agree it was great food and a good homemade salsa bar!

Greatest restaurant ever. Exactly like it used to be on Valley Blvd. Asada is excellent. Dorados are amazing. Tell Maria I said HI!

This place is located in the most awkward spots ever. I was only able to know that this was a Taco place because I had to park in the back of the county office for work. I decided to come here for lunch since it was quick and easy and I didn’t have a car that day. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the sweet lady, who I believe is also the owner of the restaurant. She was very nice, sweet, and very welcoming. It seemed like she knew a lot of her customers and immediately pin pointed us when she saw new faces.
She told us that they had a special which was two tacos and a drink for only $ 3.99. I actually took it the extra step to order two CRUNCHY carnitas tacos, a side of rice, and my drink. It was a little over $ 6.00. NOT BAD! They also brought out chips and had their own salsa bar.
When they brought my food out, my tacos looked delicious! The side of rice was quite a small portion, but overall food wasn’t too bad at all. She stated that her tacos and everything they make is from her mom’s recipe since forever. The lady was definitely sweet and told us to take some chips home so then we can snack on them later.
Love the people, so I’d most likely come back for the people. :)

Love! This place they have delicious homemade food made from scratch, fresh ingredients and the prices are very reasonable. You can’t beat that! Also, you got to treat your tastebuds to the awesome baked/​deserts.

A little family owned business… burritos are delicious and the cocido is amazing! Wish I lived or worked closer to go to this place more often.

I did a little research and I found the «Old Taco Room» its now in El Monte! Mama is gone (God rest her soul) and George is no longer in the business, but his sister is and she is armed with her mom’s recipes. She hired the original cook and he is working the kitchen. My salivary gland are in over drive! My next visit to So Cal will include dinner at «The Taco Room»

This place is a hidden gem. Went there for lunch today. I had the cocido and it was delicious! The lady Maria was super nice and friendly. Ill definitely be coming back during the week to try their other dishes!

The food here is legit. Like when I go visit my Mexican friends house and their mama is cooking real frijoles and tortilla from scratch– the food is delicioso!
Beef taquitos are super crunchy and it comes stuffed with shredded beef.
Shrimp ceviche tostadas are bombdotcom too. Chopped up onions, cilantro, tomatoes and lots of fresh shrimp and it’s slightly sweet salsa and lots of slices of avocados. The tostadas are light and crunchy– homemade I think? :)
The salsa bar has this pickled cabbage dish which I think is the owners recipe. It’s addicting!
Prices are cheap and service is friendly definitely coming back!

This is my second time this week visiting here and I’ve recommended it to my friends at work. It seriously feels like your visiting grandma’s house… or abuelitas!

My new favorite place for fresh, delicious and reasonably priced Mexican food. I’ve been a few times and I’m always impressed with how delicious everything is. Try the breakfast burrito with steak instead of bacon, my girlfriend calls it «white guy style»… I call it delicious! Service and fast and friendly and they also said you can call in your order… nice. If you are driving around looking for food don’t hesitate to navigate to this location.

A great hole in the wall spot. Cheap and very good. The ceviche with shrimp was absolutely delicious. The service was also fantastic. The short Mexican lady was very friendly and cared to all our needs.

New player in the Flair Park area. Tried it out just about after they opened and it’s become a regular on my lunch rotation. Great for tacos and burritos. Love how they encourage you to load it up with fixings before they wrap it up for you. Great deal on breakfast burritos too! Freindliest staff in the area short of the guy at the Deli Box. Have a burrito today, lifes too short for fast food burgers!

Love all the food here, but my favorite is the «Cosido» and actually everything else too! Love the pickled & jalapeño cabbage. Oh and did I mention the aguas frescas are amazing, The best part about going here are the reasonable prices. Check it out… you will love it!

I love this place. I do not go to very many Mexican restaurants, but the food here is very good. My favorite is the Chicken burrito with beans. They leave it open so that you can go to the salsa bar and add whatever you want to it and then they will wrap it up for you. I prefer to eat it while open. You must put the cabbage salad in the burrito it is extremely delicious. Do not ignore the cabbage salad I did for years at the old location by Cal State LA and I regret it till this day. It has a very gorgeous flavor! Maria, her daughter and her granddaughter are wonderful host! Enjoy!

Great place to eat. Staff is friendly. Always get the Asada burrito and nacho fries the works, always comes out delicious. I recommend if your in the area to check it out and eat there.

Great Place to eat, the food is great and the staff is very friendly. They offer a wide range of choices, making it difficult what I want to order. Prices are great and a they also offer agua frescas– watermelon, melon, pineapple, cucumber/​lime, which are all delicious, they also have a very good arroz con leche for dessert.

I am so picky with my Mexican food & let me just say this place is amazing.
I’ve been there twice in one week.
Their guac salsa is amazing!
