I ate at Rosemead Café today. If you’re tired of eating a corporate restaurants give this mom and pop place a chance. Had the tuna melt on sourdough, DELICIOUS. The employees are very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I usually spend about $ 10 eating at local establishments. Today I spent less then $ 7. I ate my lunch while I sat on their recliner. I enjoyed the food and the cozy atmosphere.

Best Mexican/Chinese combo. I love it so much. You won’t regret the mixture of warmth and quality service.

I’ve had the bacon cheeseburger and the crispy chicken sandwich here. They were both really good, the patty they use on the burger is very juicy and the bacon is crispy, just the way I like it. The chicken sandwich was very crispy, I took one bite when it was hot. I was late to work so I didn’t get to eat it until hours later, it was still crispy when I ate it hours later.

Like this place. Food is pretty good and there’s such a nice variety of stuff. The owners are really nice and seem very honest. Will definitely come back again!

First off, I have to mention that this is literally the restaurant you’d go to every day since they mostly cater towards the businesses around them for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. This isn’t a place to go for dinner or a night out. That said: This place has AMAZING food for what you would expect walking in. The décor is nothing special and leaves something to be desired, but that’s not what you come in for. You come in here to order food, get it, and go back to work. Luckily, eating here makes you feel better than just rushing a lunch and getting back to work. So far, I have ordered their cheeseburger, chicken wings, and chicken caesar sandwich(my favorite of the three), and they’ve all been spectacular! They have thick-cut fries and a pretty simple seasoning to it as well. That’s nothing special, but it’s definitely a nice«icing on the cake» of already delicious food, if you will. I’m glad this business caters towards the workers nearby because I could easily pay an extra dollar or two than they charge anywhere else, but they don’t — likely because they don’t use unnecessary frou-frou dishes and utensils. They also have an event going on on Saturdays that everyone should check out if you’re into video games. They have a tournament for Street Fighter 4 and Marvel vs Capcom 3 every week, and they’re still serving their food though it’s a limited menu. My only complaint is that it gets a bit hot sometimes, but then again, it’s summer so it happens. Looking at it from the front or even walking in doesn’t do this place justice. The food is delicious, the workers are super nice, and the prices are pretty awesome for the quality you get. If you’re in the area, seriously, check this place out! P. S. I hear that if you forgot to bring something for a potluck in the office, you could absolutely call in and put a big order in so you don’t look stupid later in your office for not bringing anything. It’s the little things, really. EDIT: no more tournaments. :[

My buddy suggested this spot, as it is close to the office. I like hole in the wall spots, so this fit the bill. The cashier as well as the owner were both very friendly and gave excellent service. I didn’t expect much from this place, but the bacon cheese burger was quite good and the steak fries were pretty good as well. My buddies both comment on how reasonable the prices were and we went back within a few days, as we now feel that this will be our go-to spot. When the owner actually steps outside to thank you as you’re leaving, that is a huge deal in my book. So many items to try, so I might have the chicken bowl later this week. I forgot to mention that they have ice cream, but I have yet to try it. Love ice cream!

This is one tasty burger!!! the patty was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. the bacon was cooked to a very fine crispness that makes one desire more bacon of the same magnitude. with all the components working together, a marriage of flavor dances on your taste buds. yearning for the next bite. wow, it was a really tasty burger. prices are excellent and the service is outstanding. she brings our order to the table, then halfway through our meal comes by to check up on us and asks how are meal is. nothing like the major chains that asks how your meal is as they are putting it down on the table and to never see them again, only when it’s time for the bill. this place is legit!!!

Meh, I’ve experience better. This place wasn’t too bad though. I order two tacos, one shrimp and one chicken. The shrimp lacked all sorts of flavor but the chicken was okay. Both were dry but this, to me, is a lunch time café for the nearby office buildings so I didn’t expect a 5 star meal. The customer service was great. I asked for a cup of water and it was totally tap. ‘Twas gross.

CONVENIENCE and FLAVOR are my TOP two reasons for loving this place. The others would include the reasonable prices, the GERNEROUS amount of food that you get, and of course. GOOD customer service. This place looks like a low budget hole in the wall of a restaurant at first, but after you finish every bite of your meal(if you can), You will TOTALLY change your perspective. From the salads to the chow mein, you will enjoy every nibble. HOWEVER, they do close at 4pm, and are NOT open on weekends.(isn’t that an AWESOME work schedule??)

I love the tostata salad here, it was a bit greasy but that was the best part. Not too expensive.. . it was around $ 6 with chunks of carne asada in it. The breakfast here is pretty cheap and worth the portion size and price. I had the chorizo and eggs it was pretty good, it came with rice and beans and wasn’t too greasy. Looking forward to come try their chinese food.

Randomly came across this place on Unilocal and decided to try it. I had the Combo rice plate and my husband had the *new item: bulgogi burrito* It’s a hole in the wall and decided to take it home. My rice combo was nothing special. Its something you can get from a mexican place. I expected better. The bulgogi burrito was just carne asada meat which was salty. I did not like it one bit.

To the David J, the guy who’s managed checked in here 16 times in the past 4 days… how come I never see you here? You’ve also miraculously checked in a similar amount at all the other places too… Anyway During the lunch, the wait can be a bit long. The burgers are great, I’ve never tried the Chinese or Mexican dishes since I’ve always been satisfied with my Bacon Cheeseburger with extra patty. Prices are reasonable, they accept credit! Would have assumed cash only. To avoid waiting, call in first :)

When you first drive up to this place you think«Ugh» but once you’re inside you go «Ah!» and then you see the menu. Everything looks so delicious and I bet it is! I’ve eaten here a couple of times now and haven’t been disappointed yet(neither has my co worker). Their taco salad is pretty good. It filled my up, and coming from a fatty, that’s a hard thing to do. The sandwich I AMNOWINLOVEWITH is the Pesto Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I got it with a side salad, which was surprisingly tasty and not the usual bag salad because it had tomato, cucumber and bell peppers too. The sandwich has sun dried tomato, cheese, PESTO(love), and soft chicken. The grilled onions in it are yummy too and I don’t even like grilled onions. I would highly recommend that sandwich. I will definitely be returning for some burgers and fries once I’m done dieting… someday. The only bad part: Parking and the lemonade from the soda fountain sucks.

This place doesn’t have consistency in their dishes. To be fair, their burgers and sandwhiches are good. Fries are decent. but everything else pretty much depends on how fresh their ingredients are. Its a hit and miss. Their fried rices is so so and lack flavor. Their carne asada nachos can be great one day and horrible the next b/c it wasn’t prepared the same way as before. The owners are very nice but I can’t say their food is that great. Sorry.

So this place is right in the middle of buildings and you might miss it. The place looked like a doughnut shop but until I tried the food, my mind about the look changed. I tried the avocado burger and it was really GOOD! The fries were also great. My mom tried the fairoaks burger and she also said it was GOOD! We then tried the shrimp chow mein and it was a huge plate and was also GOOD! I see myself coming back soon!

One caveat: lunch hour rush is a huge killjoy for anyone who just wants to grab a quick bite. And everyone who enters a place like this is usually just trying to grab a quick bite. Tuna melt– I’ve had better, and I’ve had worse. Garden burger– This one’s a good one. There’s a sweet mayo sauce mixed with something else in it, acting as an essential ingredient in creating their garden burger. Never had their fries before but everyone seems to enjoy them. Do yourself a favor and don’t eat in. Just pick up(call ahead if you can) and go. Okay food for an okay price.

My expectations were not very high, as this place looks like a run down shack across a floor tile warehouse and literally enclosed by industry. You wouldn’t know it existed had they not put a sign at the end of the street The food however, is quite contrary to its looks and location. The food is very fresh and flavorful with no MSG, as claimed. I tried the shrimp chow mien my first time. The noodles, vegetables, and shrimps mixed well and were lightly seasoned with a black pepper taste. It seemed healthy to me, as these dishes are usually heavily flavored and oily. I also tried their bulgulgi burrito, which turns out to keep its word. It was bulgulgi in a burrito, with kim chi. Normally not a good mix but in this case, it was very flavorful given its freshness and quality. My co-worker got the carne asada nachos. They were probably the best nachos I’ve ever had. The meat was very tender and the nachos were crisp, not hard like most places. I was shocked at the overall quality, and I’d probably get these nachos the next time I come. This place closes very early, at 3 or 4pm depending on the day. I suppose they cater to the surrounding businesses. I would say this is one of the better hidden lunch runs in the city. Very friendly workers also, wrapped my food up for me when I asked to take it to go and it’s not even a restaurant.

Home of the«Pastor Eddie Cheeseburger». I ordered the cheeseburger with swiss cheese and an extra patty the first time. It was so good that the next time I ordered it with 3 additional patties(for a total of 1 lb of beef). It was just as good as the 1 lb Godzilla burger I had at Eagle’s Deli featured in the top 10 places to pig out on the Travel Channel. They said they would put that burger on the menu and name it after me. Is that a conflict of interest? I dunno…

I have to give this place a neutral review because it’s been taken over by new owners, so the business has changed tremendously. Everyone that works here is extremely nice and hard working. I’ve never seen the cashier be rude to anyone, and she’s always prompt and polite with her service. The best thing about this place is that even though it’s a multi-cultural joint(they serve Mexican, Chinese, and American) that looks like any burger café, they serve your food like you’re at a restaurant. Another tid bit, is that this place is surrounded by a tremendously industrial area where the only people that really come here are the people that work in the surrounding offices. That aside, they still have quite a rush during the lunch hour so don’t expect your food out to be in 5 minutes! I recommend the sandwiches(the caesar sandwich and the avocado sandwiches are great!) and I also recommend their chow mein. The food also comes in HUGE portions so you always have leftovers for tomorrow!
