My friend and I came here on a hot afternoon and wanted a paleta(Popsicle) to cool off. They make their paletas in house and every bite was delicious! They have water based paletas, milk based paletas and chocolate dipped paletas for all the chocolate lovers. I personally like the milk based paletas especially the mango, pistachio and I’ve tried the yogurt milk based paletas which included chucks of fruit pieces and nuts. I would definitely come here again and try the other flavors! The paleta range from $ 2.50-$ 3.50 a piece.

Growing up in the san gabriel valley We always had the elote & raspado man going through our streets. Since then, I think the regulations have changed and has made all of them in my area obsolete. I have tried many places in search of that childhood memory taste of the vainilla and tamarindo raspado. All other places I sort of get that commercial taste. Now, I have found it. They are a lot more than it should be for a raspado. I recall 50cents for a regular and $ 1 for a large. After all it is ice and sugar. I guess all things considered that was 25 years ago HA! None the less, I am happy I found that long lost taste of summer growing up.

The real mexican ice cream. Try the fruit salad water its off the hook. the strawberrys and cream are delicious a little expensive but what is not when containing fresh fruit. Also the homemade icecream is the business will be back for sure thanks for bringing michoacans sweets to our door steps.

Minus one star because it left a funk smell of fried lard on my clothes. Other than that my order was delicious. I ordered the Diablito, which is a tamarindo and chamoy ice blended drink with a tamarindo candy straw. At $ 4.99 it was a little expensive, but the quality was good. It was a great treat, but I doubt I’ll be making a habit out of coming here regularly.

This place is awesome. After having a horrible lunch, I came here and this Chamango was the perfect pick me up!!! They have every kind of paletas, their aguas are fresh but most importantly this place is SUPER clean. The service was on point, the lady was nice and attentive but most importantly she was quick. I’m definitely coming back here. #ToDieFor

Delicious paletas and not to mention, they’re huge! I ordered the strawberries and cream, and my friend got coffee covered in chocolate. They have so many options and one paleta alone is so filling. Next time, I’ll come back to try different flavors such as chamango. We got a small cup of elote to go with our paletas haha. You know it’s legit because the cheese is extra smelly! This is the first time I’ve gotten it in a cup, instead of on the cob. I prefer the cob because it got really watery inside the cup — not sure if this is normal. The corn was slightly soggy too. Not as fresh as on the cob. One last point — they even sell Scientology books and other random goodies.

This evening I came here with my mom and sister for our first CHAMANGO! Being a «foodie», I’m so happy we came here for my first try! Maria and her daughter’s made us feel so warm and welcomed :) besides their sweet customer service, their quality was top-notch! I like that it’s family owned and appreciate the effort she puts into having great quality product. Fresh fruit, lots of flavor and very affordable! Looking forward to coming back to try their coconut milk ice bar and fruit drinks.

Ok, so let me start off by saying this place has potential to be good… but they don’t care about their customers at all one bit. So I went there on Saturday, I was craving some fruit. I would’ve gone to the place on Valley but didn’t feel like looking for parking. So I order and ask if they accept debit card, the owner said«Yes». So I proceed to order a plate of fruit. I wanted all watermelon, which I saw they had some bowls in the fridge but the owner said it was from yestetday and didn’t want to sell it… so I get a fruit bowl that has apples, strawberries, melon, mango… it was pretty gross seriously, who puts Chile on strawberries anyways!!! This isn’t the worse part… the worse part is she rings me up at $ 11 and says we also charge $ 1 for debit transactions. I could afford the $ 1 but I HATE when business owners do that to their customers it’s a complete pet peeve of mine. So I’m looking at $ 12 for a tiny little fruit bowl of disguisting fruit and a diablo. But it’s made so I paid. Then the owner says, this debit card machine is like at ATM and you need to pay in dollar amounts… at this point I’m already irritated she’s charging me $ 1. So she says oh im sorry it’s because this is the only type of debit machine that doesn’t charge me anything to use, but it’s more like at ATM. So at this point I say«why do u charge ur customers if you’re not even being charged to use it… she had NO idea what to say & proceeded to ring me up at $ 12. I told her this is a food place you shouldn’t be charging people that fee, that’s ridiculous. It gets WORSE I looked at my bank account online and I was charged a $ 2 non chase ATM fee. So all together my nasty trip to this place was $ 14 for a bowl of fruit that I threw away and a mango drink. The owner is a nice lady, but doesnt know how to run a business properly. Honesty is key, give you’re customers a break. I mean you operate in el monte not westwood. I will not be going back, and will tell everyone about this experience. I hope you read this and are able to make positive changes.

Oh wow! I wish I had discovered this sooner! I’ve been working in our satellite office for about 2 – 3 years now and today was my first day here! I for sure will tell my co-workers about this place. I bought a bunch of paletas that they gave me one for free(hehe). No regrets here, it’s natural and only fruit so it can’t be that unhealthy, right?!? I got the famous strawberries and cream, mango with and without chili, coconut, avocado, arroz con leche, and something else. Absolutely delicious and refreshing, especially for our hot LA summer days! I also got an esquite. I love esquite, however I did not love theirs. Their esquite gets a 3 – 3.5 stars. I have had better. I like my corn more on the al dente side than overcooked. Also, something about the mayo they used was just not to my liking. Of course I still ate it though… It was not bad, just not great. I can’t wait to go back. I wanted to buy more paletas but didn’t want to seem like a little piggy! I also will be trying their aguas and their cooked food. I highly recommend this place. Place is clean and the workers are so friendly! And no, they weren’t trying to push their fajas on me!

Too expensive I walked out. Plus it looks like they rather sell weight loss under garment than the sweet stuff.

Walked in there trying to satisfy a sweet tooth just to find waist trainers, undergarments all over their counters blocking the view of their stuff! The employee showing them didn’t seem to care someone actually wanted to see their sweet treats and continue to show more products until a second worker came out kinda moved the stuff over and made that quick head movement to the other girl to move on over to a table or something but by that time I was already over it and decided just to leave two stars because the ice cream bars looked good well the ones I could see but come one is it a restaurant or a Victoria secret lol

The place: So I was craving some chamango and decided to Unilocal for nearby places that has it. I came across this place and saw a picture of their strawberry and cream bars. It looked really good so I decided to swing by and give it a try. The place was not hard to find at all. There are plenty of parking since it’s located in a plaza. I really liked the atmosphere of the place. They let you take your time and doesn’t rush you into it. I took my time to look at all the ice cream bars. The food: They had a lot of variety and flavors. I then decided to settle for a chamango and two strawberry cream bars(one for me and one for my boyfriend). I was really hoping that I would like it because from the look of it I wanted to come back often since it’s so convenient and on the way home. However, I was really disappointed. The CHAMANGO was really icy. I can crunch on the ice. The flavor of the chamango is just mediocre. Since I was disappointed with the chamango, I was hoping I would like the STRAWBERRYANDCREAMBARS since everyone is raving about it in their reviews. It was very sweet… it tasted like condense milk, but on a stick. The strawberries was hard and sour. Not at all like I imagined it would taste like. The chamango cost about $ 5 and their strawberry and cream bars cost $ 2.75. Overall: I gave the place two stars because the food was a little below average, but I would come back to give it a second chance and try other flavors since they have a lot of varieties. If you want to give this place a try, bring cash. I paid with cash but notice that they charge an extra 50 cents for using cards.

The song says memories of El Monte. I think. I’ve only really heard it once or twice but now I have my one and only memory of El Monte. La Reyna de Michoacan has the legit, handmade, homemade style paletas with all the flavors you would want including some you won’t, like the avocado or prune but nevertheless creamy and handmade. I brought the kids and they loved it, I liked it even though we spent about $ 15 four people.

I came here since I was in the mood for some paletas. I got Strawberry and cream($ 2.75), Strawberry($ 2.25), and mango con chili. Their milk based paletas are $ 2.75 and their juice based are $ 2.25. I really like the strawberry and cream the most out of the three. They also sell sandwiches, nachos, bionicos, agua frescas, and tostilocos from what I saw people buy when I ate there. The girl who helped me was nice. $ 0.50 charge to use mastercard and visa.

Their paletas are made in the shop. You just can’t beat that! I have been here many times. Their strawberries and cream one is really good but ever since I tried the avocado one I just can’t stray away! People tell me that they think avocado as a dessert is too weird but I highly suggest you give it a try before writing it off. For those who know, it’s very similar to the Vietnamese avocado smoothie!

I don’t think it’s fair to give a business one star over a cockroach, it happens, to just about every business at one point. You should have spoken to them directly about the cockroach situation and I’m almost sure they would have given you another one for free or tried to make it right somehow. If they’re assholes, or the cockroach shows up in your food multiple times THEN might you consider leaving a low-star review for them. Running a small business is not easy these days, if you have a problem with them speak to them directly instead of taking it to Unilocal to slander their name. Smh. Oh and by the way, this place has an «A» rating… On to the good shit! I am a super duper gringa but definitely enjoy everything Hispanic. I happen to loveeee agua frescas(fruit blended with water, watermelon and strawberries with cream are my personal fave) and all of the other DELICIOUS treats they have here! They have sweets, bionicos, jugos, tortas, dirty dogs, and elotes as well– and I have no idea what those are, I’m literally reading them off the sign right now. I have had the corn too and it’s sooooo good! And as I said in beginning, I’m white, 75% of the time when stepping into a Hispanic establishment I’m met with nasty looks and attitude from the people that work there. As someone who is supporting your business THIS I will never understand. So I APPRECIATE the fact that I was met with the same respect and kindness from the employees as the Hispanic customers. Price is right, place is clean, food is delish. What more could you want?

This place is off the hizzes. Where have agua frescas been all my life! So delicious and so refreshing. The paletas come in milk flavor with fruit, or just fruit and water. I ordered the milk paleta with strawberry and oh my, it was creamy and delish. I also got the strawberry ice one and that was super as well! The agua fresca I got was combination and I thought I did over kill so I got a small and when I got home I regretted not super sizing it. I cant wait to be here again! I wish they had one of these near my place. I really like how fresh and flavorful everything is here. They have a wide variety of flavors. We tried the cookies and cream paleta and the black berry paleta and both were deliciously refreshing. Very pleased and excited to come back to try their other flavors :) They also serve hot meals here… Didn’t try them but maybe for the next visit.

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over two decades and I’ve just now came into this local shop. Oh, if it wasn’t for Unilocal I don’t think I’ll ever realize there was an awesome Mexican ice cream shop here. I’ve bookmarked Paleteria for so long, but still didn’t make the trip until now. It was a warm Sunday afternoon and I mentioned to my sister, who was driving, that we should stop by since it’s on the way home. Shop also makes all the typical Mexican deli, tacos, and etc. besides ice cream pops, chamango and other desserts. There are table seating and an arcade area for the kids to play. Strawberries and Cream: Not too sweet; just the right amount of strawberries. We also got the blueberry and chili mango, but haven’t tried it yet. It’s still in the fridge waiting for me to take a bite into it. :D Price average $ 2.50−3.00 — kind of expensive for an ice cream bar, but everything is pretty expensive these days for dessert. The ice cream sandwiches from Cool Haus or Cookies & Cream are roughly $ 4, so it’s just about the right. Definitely, a nice cold treat for a warm day in the SGV! Enjoy.

Can’t believe this place doesn’t have more reviews. It’s your basic mom and pops snack/ice cream shop but the thing that makes it amazing is their Popsicle sticks or paletas. So many flavors and they are all fresh made in the shop! Lactose people will also be happy since they make a «water» and«milk» version of all their flavors. We tried: –guayaba/guava(water) — tastes just like fresh guavas, my boyfriend’s favorite. We want to try the milk version next time. –mango(water) — again tastes like fresh, ripe mangos. Lots of mango chunks inside and yes we want to try the milk version of this too –fresas con crema/strawberries and cream — so good! The creamy part is so decadent and rich and the large strawberry chunks are a really nice, tart contrast It’s located in a strip mall near the 10 freeway. If you see Alberto’s, it’s in the same plaza.
